Welcome to our Having the Chats podcast.Hello, I'm Maeve and over the coming weeks and months, I'll be chatting to some amazing people who will share their stories with us, real people with real stories. People who have found themselves facing an unexpected bump in the road, a health scare or crisis which meant facing complete uncertainty – all of whom manage to navigate their way through adversity.Having faced my own bump in the road twice in 2019, I had what you might call a 'forced awakening' - I knew I had to stop and take care of myself.During that time, I also had moments of feeling quite alone – even though I was surrounded by family and close friends, and while their support was a comfort they couldn't fully relate to what I was going through, I needed to understand it and while there are most likely hundreds of thousands of people going through something similar, I didn't know of anyone and there is a sense of anxiety and helplessness that goes with that, isolation.There is h
