    It's a 2 hour festive feast with the editor of Hearts Standard, Joel (Noel?) Sked. We talk to him about his life supporting Hearts and his career in sports journalism. We then do a top 5 signings of the season so far, biggest surprise and disappointment as well as who is the most improved. Much like we should all do at this time, in amongst all the reflection, we also look forward!

    It's a week where we won (connect) four points and not in the order we would have predicted. It was a lackluster performance followed by an exceptionally impressive performance. We look at where we went fairly wrong and where we went very right. On top of that there are two quizzes, loan watch, mental health check ins and occasional travel chess chat.

He also to about some of his Hearts memories and takes us through some of his mental health journey and recovery.

    As you may well be aware, it's derby week. So Jamie, Adam and John unlock some of those derby memories from the matches you may have forgotten about as they share some of their recollections and bring in some listeners' ones too. A few of the more unforgettable ones are discussed too of course. The Falkirk match is reviewed and the Hibs game is previewed. A wee quiz is thrown in for good measure.

    Long time jambo, Davy Wilson, joins the boys and talks some of his memories from nearly 70 years of following Hearts before opening up on his grief journey; a topic that is very close to both Adam and John. They discuss the challenges they have faced, what has been helpful to them and how Hearts have played a part in that journey. It's a powerful, emotional and ultimately inspiring conversation.     A multiverse-esque crossover this week as Scarves Around the Funnel's Scott Mcintosh joins us on a one episode loan deal. We pick his brains about the current Hearts team, the recent injuries as well as the transfers and look ahead to the Rangers game. Scott also discusses his mental health journey, including a recent diagnosis of autism and reflects on how this has been for him. We finish up with some listener questions.

    As the Summer transfer window closes, Jamie, Trunter, Adam and John go through all the dealings that have been made across the Summer with their verdict on each player and how they may (or may not) fit into the team. There was an away day with some last minute drama over in Livingston so the boys also give their thoughts on that as well as an accidental criminal quiz.

The boys then examine what went wrong against St Mirren, what went right and then balance it all out as they preview the return to league action. Trunter also gives us his belated league predictions.     One week in and the Bloom effect is in full force already as Hearts top the table! Plenty of optimism (with occasional bits of realism) as Jamie and Adam discuss the 90 Minutes with Tony Bloom event that they attended and, of course, look at our first game (and win) of the season.
