Jean genie and multi-disciplinary decorator Matt Lask tells us what he wants on set. He puts behind the scenes under the lights, on your mind, and in your ears. Chad is excited to meet someone who knows actual Teamsters, a group of people he's always wondered about but never been certain of their actual existence. Tyler is a pro on set from his days as an extra, while Leslie wonders if she can stop by for dinner.

Purveyor of content Liz Hull tells us what she wants in a CW Teen Drama. The best thing about it? No guilt here! Give us the trash! Chad learns a bit more about what makes a strong eyebrow, Tyler nearly dated someone who dated someone who was nearly famous, and Leslie makes the best pitch for a new TV show anyone in the writer's room has ever heard. Also we're all in our 30's playing high schoolers, just as it should be.

Local father Michael Fetters takes a seat in the Content Basement to tell us what he wants in Shoes. Thanks are to our natural philosophical musing, which is just something we do, is just how we are, we learn way more than feet are wrapped up in your shoes. But we also learn that, at least if you're a Fetters, way fewer of your toenails are wrapped up in your shoes than other people might guess. It's all over the map tonight.

We get into the benefits of hippie over bougie, the absolute essentialness of the cold plunge, and also Alan saw Tyler's butt at the gym. Could there possibly be more red meat in one episode???

100% likable person David Calkins shows the world how this format is done when he tells us what he wants in a nap. Like a Clydesdale or greyhound, he's comin' out the gates HARD. David finds a like mind in Leslie (she's back!), but Chad is forced to bust out his "You Gotta Be Kidding Me" card. With this much incredible debate, the episode might leave you needing a..... oh what's it called... rats.

Laura Sams tells us what she wants in a hotel room. There are many of us here on the podcast who, uh... travel for work... or choir... so there's a lot of ground to cover in a very small space. Leslie is the hotel queen but Tyler has also been to Japan (has that been mentioned?). Regardless of most experienced, we all know a hotel is about way more than just staying the night. There's a feeling, an experience, and maybe even something wedged between the mattress if you wanna stick your mitts in there!

Bonafide conflict mediator and world class story teller Chris Williams tells us what he wants in a Lyft Driver. More importantly, he puts Tyler on blast, edge, and guard for the majority of the episode. Honestly, no one should have this much detail about about how a fountain drink should be but to be honest again, I know a lot of other people who do. There are tons of aspects to talk about so we mostly focus on the shame of consumption. Chad and Tyler overlap on soda vessel preference, Leslie creates the best soda company ever invented, and we learn the first question to ask at any restaurant you ever visit when you're out of town.

Composer, comedian, and descendent of the Teleri elves, Jake Hull tells us what he wants in an open mic night. Everyone on the crew has experience with these and is eager to share what the scene was like at their hometown Borders. We learn what a "size girl 11" is and how to make (and subsequently lose) homemade tap shoes. But the deepest, most earth-shattering thing? "Gentlemennnnn" MAY WELL BE DEAD. I can't talk about it right now. For me the grief is still too near, plus by nightfall these hills will be swarming with orcs.

It's the beginning of a new year, but Stephen Kunec tells us what he wants in the end of the world. This one got our brains working! We thought of how it would end, how we'd adjust and, most importantly, what kind of leader Leslie will become (hint: A great one). Steph talks fashion masks, Tyler declares himself Pope, and Chad imagines squaring off against Ellen Degeneres' tribe of headset-equipped marauders. Get ready to hypothesize!

The gang goes for a shorter episode and Chad brings what he wants in a movie ending. Leslie and Tyler are NOT HAVING IT. Not at all. But later they realize what he means and can get much more on board with it. The overall lesson from this one is that Chad has garbage opinions and taste but is also the only one who has seen Spirited Away.

It's the episode topic that practically birthed this podcast: Willa Johann tells us what she wants from horses in movies! THRILLED. A. BOUT. THIS. A topic that many people don't even know you can have an opinion on, this episode has it all. Willa is a champion of her cause and delivers with every bullet point. Chad grew up in 4H and has horse knowledge, but nothing like this. Breyer horses, Hobbit horses in pony suits, homemade capes, high diving, IMDB for horses and stunt riders... needless to say that when we're on horseback, we cover a lot of ground.

Lisa Christy tells us what she wants in a superstition. No need to knock wood because this one is GREAT. It's nearly impossible to describe all the ground we cover. Tyler learns what a grandma is, the rest of us learn what job oil is, and all of us learn that we follow more superstitions than we think.

Katie Behrens joins us to tell us what she wants in a ghost hunting TV show. The floor opened up to a LOT of questions and speculation on this one! We talk about past and current ghost experiences, what exactly constitutes a ghost, and who really believes. Plus, in a daring spectral experiment, we attempt to communicate with the spirit world through EVP!

Anne Parmeter tells us what she wants in her dinner party guests. We learn how elaborate she is in party planning and what roles a good guest needs to shoulder. All of us end up wanting to be invited to her parties and, in a gorgeous trip of the tongue, Leslie ends up sparking one of the greatest party ideas to ever spring from the Content Basement.

Leslie is bringing the topic today and it's all about wedding cake. Few places are home to such might displays of preference and opinion as a wedding, and the cake... takes the cake? We learned a lot today: Leslie will go wedding cake tasting on a second date, Chad is frosting-blind, and Tyler has been neck deep in premium cake for as long as he can remember.
