BATTLE MAGE SECRETS Weekly Challenge: Rise Of The Common

https://3speak.tv/watch?v=hive-world/qfafpiaq Hello everyone, it is a super Sunday. How are you feeling today? Don't forget to participate in this week's battle mage secrets. Today, I'm going into depth about the rise of the common rule which gives opportunity to all common and rare monsters to be used in battles. When you come across a battle that says 'rise of the common', you don't need to ask yourself while legendary monsters are not available to be used. That is just what the ruleset is all about. When the rule is given, only common and rare monsters are available to use. Well! When this rule is given, one or more rules can be attached to it. Just like the one I'm going to share here today; another rule was attached to it which I also considered while selecting monsters. Rise of the common is an old rule that gives players an opportunity to showcase their talent while selecting monsters to be used. The strategy I used in this battle was the best for me because there was no way melee monsters could be useful except in the first position. And also, there was no way range monsters would be effective if such monsters lead the attack. To avoid defeat, it was necessary for me to arrange my monsters I'm such a way. Ruleset Back To Basic: Monsters lose all abilities. This is the reason I made the monsters I used must have a high number of health. That is one way to strategize. If you check my lineup properly, I used Water Elemental not because I wanted to attack, I knew the moment Water Elemental led the attack, it won't be able to attack again. Therefore, I used Water Elemental because of its health. With just three mana, I was able to get a monster with 7 health which delayed my opponent's monsters. When I saw back to basic ruleset, I did not border to use monsters with abilities because there abilities won't be useful. One thing that functioned in this battle was the summoners. You could see that there was an additional health to all my monsters due to the summoner I selected; and there was an additional +1 magic attack to all my opponent's monsters. The reason was that back to the basic ruleset, summoners' abilities are activated while monster's abilities are deactivated. Rise of the Common: Only common and rare monsters may be used in battles. End of discussion! The rule clearly said it. The only monsters you will come across when selecting monsters are common and rare monsters. If you look at my lineup and my opponent's lineup, only rare and common monsters were used. Click here to watch. Why do I use Lyanna Natura? When I wanted to pick a summoner, only Earth and Fire Summoners were available. To be sincere, the magic monsters in the fire summoners were not powerful as the one I had in Earth Summoners. More also, I would have preferred Obsidian but it was not up to the standard I wanted. It is far below the level I wanted. Monsters Arrangements Creepy Ooze Splinter: Neutral Level: 3⭐⭐⭐ Speed: 1 Health:3 Attack: Melee Mana: 0 The slow ability could not do anything in this battle; the only position I could think of using creepy Ooze was the first position. Since all abilities were infective including opportunity ability, it was not important to hide Creepy Ooze anyone. So, I used the monster to delay attack from opponent's monsters. Pelacor Mercenary Splinter: Water Level: 5⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Speed: 3 Health:: 11 Armor: 1 Attack: Melee Mana: 7 If you are going to ask me, why do I considered Pelacor Mercenary since I knew that the most important monsters are magic monsters? My answer would be, it is because of the health. I got this monster with 7 mana. I would have selected Flesh Golem, but I realized that the healing ability of Flesh Golem would not function. That was the reason I went for Pelacor Mercenary. Despite my opponent used 5 magic monsters, Pelacor Mercenary was not easy to eliminate. This was because of the high number of health. Water Elemental Splinter: Water Level: 3⭐⭐⭐ Speed: 2 Health:7 Attack: range Mana: 3 The only thing that motivated me to select Water Elemental was the health. It took three attacks from tree monsters to eliminate Water Elemental. I was obsessed to use Water Elemental because of its health. It was eliminated in the second round of the battle. Mycelic Slipspawn Splinter: Water Level: 2⭐⭐⭐ Speed: w Health:12 Attack: Magic Mana: 9 Two things I was engrossed with about Mycelic Slipspawn, they are the health and the magic attack. When Mycelic Slipspawn led the attack, almost all the opponent's monsters were eliminated, it was just left with two monsters. The reason it was like that was the high number of health which made it difficult for opponent's monsters to eliminate it. I knew Mycelic Slipspawn could attack in any position, but fourth position was the best position for the monster. Centauri Mage Splinter: Water Level: 3⭐⭐⭐ Speed: 3 Health:10 Attack: Magic Mana: 7 Centauri Mage was in the fifth position. I placed Centauri Mage in the fifth position in case Mycelic Slipspawn would not be able to lead to the final. I knew it would be difficult for Mycelic Slipspawn to lead the attack to victory. Centauri Mage was the monster I considered. Regal Peryton Splinter: Water Level: 3⭐⭐⭐ Speed: 6 Health: 5 Attack: Magic Mana: 5 It would be a waste of a monster to use Regal Peryton in any position rather than last position. Regal Peryton's health is very small compared to Mycelic Slipspawn and Centauri Mage. Placing Regal Peryton before any of the two monsters would be a waste. The speed of this monster was impeccable; it was the first monster to attack in this battle. This is the reason, magic monster with high speed is very good in this type of battle. Assuming my opponent's monsters had higher speed than my monsters, there would be no way I would have won the battle. I'm conclusion, the rules attached to Rise of the common also determine the kind of common and range monsters to be used. Therefore, study all the rule attaching to rise of the common is as important as study rise of the common rule. What are you waiting for friends! Reverse Speed: The only Rule That Gives Chance To Monsters With Lower Speed

https://3speak.tv/watch?v=hive-world/leshomcw Reverse Speed: The only Rule That Gives Chance To Monsters With Lower Speed Hello Splinterlands lovers and friends across the world, how are you doing today? What a best time to share my strategy on reverse speed. Sometimes when you have the best monsters doesn't work in all rules. I remembered a day that I was paired up with a player of level one summoner. One of the greatest mistakes I did that very day was to use Helios Matriarch summoner. I used this summoner because I was given 69 mana caps which could accommodate any monster. I wanted to use powerful monsters that could destroy my opponent's monsters. I neglected the fact that monsters with the lowest speed attack first and have a higher chance of evading attacks. I went ahead to use Helios Matriarch which give additional speed to all friendly monsters. In round 1, 5 out of 6 opponent monsters attacked my monsters before one of my monsters could attack. By the end of round one, one monster was eliminated from my lineup. I was unable to destroy one of my opponent's monsters in the battle; while all my monsters were eliminated. That was how I realized that following the rules is very important in this game. There were several times I was paired up and won the battles against players of higher monsters and summoners. Therefore, smart strategies work in some of the battle rules. In this my blog today, I will be sharing my strategy when reverse speed is given. We all know that reverse speed is one of the rules in Splinterlands. This rule gives the opportunity to all monsters with lowest speed in the Splinterlands to attack first. That is the reason that players who understand the rule often use monsters with lower speed when this rule is given. Reverse speed is the only rule in the Splinterlands that gives monsters with lower speed opportunity to attack first; the rest of the rules support high speed monsters. Ruleset Reverse Speed: Monsters with the lowest speed attack first and have the highest chance of evading attacks. With this rule in this battle, it is important to use monsters with lowest speed; and that was the reason I used monsters With lowest health such as Riverboat Captain, sandworm and Nerissa Tridawn. Weak Magic: Magic attacks hit armor before reducing health. This is the reason I used Venari Wavesmith so that the monster could give armor to all friendly monsters. Therefore Venari Wavesmith gave two armor to all friendly monsters. Healed Out: All healing abilities are removed from monsters and summoners. There was no need to use the healing ability monster in this battle because this rule nullified it. That was the reason I did not use a healing ability monster. Click here to watch the battle Monsters Arrangements The Kraken Splinter: Water Level: 1⭐ Ability: Taunt Speed: 4 Health: 14 Armor: 5 Attack: melee Mana: 12 I knew the kraken would not be able to attack as much as possible in this battle due to its higher speed. Placing the kraken in the morning position was the strategic plan to delay monsters from attacking other monsters. Without the kraken in this battle, two of my monsters would have been eliminated in the second round of the battle- Riverboat Captain and Venari Wavesmith. The Kraken's taunt ability was able to delay an opponent's opportunity and sneak monsters from damaging other monsters. By the end of round 1, no monster was eliminated but the health of my Kraken was damaged to 3. Without kraken, I believe important monsters in this battle would have been destroyed by sea weed, Kulu Mastermind and sandworm. Djinn Oshannus Splinter: Water Level: 2⭐⭐ Ability: Void and Phase Speed: 5 Health: 11 Armor: 2 Attack: Magic Mana: 8 The battle I fought a few days ago taught me a lesson. My opponent used magic monsters while I was relying on melee monsters. Within a twinkle of an eye, all my monsters were eliminated. This was the reason I used Djinn Oshannus; I knew that if there was magic monster, Djinn Oshannus would be able to reduce the damage. Unfortunately, there was no magic monster in my opponent's lineup. In the beginning of the second round, my Kraken was eliminated. Then, Djinn Oshannus led the attack; opportunity monsters and a sneak monster had opportunity to attack in different directions. Opponent Kulu Mastermind was able to attack Venari Wavesmith while opponent sandworm attacked Riverboat Captain because it was the last monster in my lineup. Few seconds later, I eliminated the Kraken of my opponent. Then, we both had 5 monsters left. Therefore, all my monsters had opportunity to attack a monster in the first position except Sandworm. Nerissa Tridawn Splinter: Water Level: 2⭐⭐ Ability: None Speed: 2 Health: 10 Armor: 2 Attack: Magic attack Mana: 9 4 magic attacks were incredibly good. These 4 magic attacks were the reason I selected Nerissa Tridawn for this battle. Nerissa Tridawn led the battle in the third round after the elimination of Djinn Oshannus. Again, we both had 4 monsters left at the end of the third round. In the beginning of the fourth round, we also had the same number of monsters left in this battle. But by this time, I was not happy that a monster that gave armor to all my monsters was eliminated. Sandworm Splinter: Neutral Level: 4⭐⭐⭐⭐ Ability: Sneak Speed: 2 Health: 6 Armor: 2 Attack: Melee Mana: 9 If you are looking for one of the best monsters for reverse rule; Sandworm is one of them. The Sandworm's attack faster with this type of rule. This is the one of the rules that sandworm is very proactive. Venari Wavesmith Splinter: Neutral Level: 4⭐⭐⭐⭐ Ability: Protect Speed: 3 Health: 4 Armor: 2 Attack: Magic Mana: 5 If not this monster, it would have been very easy to eliminate my monsters. Venari Wavesmith gave all the monsters 2 armor which made it difficult to destroy them. I knew that after the elimination of the kraken, without Venari Wavesmith, it would be very easy to eliminate the rest of my monsters. That was the reason I added Venari Wavesmith in my lineup to delay. Riverboat Captain Splinter: Water Level: 1⭐ Ability: None Speed: 1 Health: 4 Armor: 2 Attack: Magic Mana: 6 Riverboat Captain's speed was one of the reasons I selected it. Riverboat was the first monster to attack in my lineup. The blast ability was incredible; and the blast was a addition bonus for me. In conclusion, when playing reverse rule, a player should use monsters with the lowest speed. What are you waiting for friends! 5 Important Abilities when playing Noxious Fume

https://3speak.tv/watch?v=hive-world/cafywmad 5 Important Abilities when playing Noxious Fume Hello Splinterlands players and lovers across the world? Happy new months to everyone of you. I will share my Splinterlands video in this article; I am very happy because it is my first 3speak video. I will be talking about the Noxious fume ruleset on this post today. Noxious fume ruleset is one of the rules of Splinterlands game. At the end of each round, 2 health is damaged from all monsters in the battle except monsters with immunity. This ability is very special to this rule because a monster with such ability can not be affected by Noxious fumes. You just have to be strategic while playing noxious fume rule. There was a day I was paired with a player, I thought battle was all about stronger monsters and summoners. I chose my strongest cards without considering a noxious fume rule. With his level one monsters and a summoner, he defeated me. I watched the battle again and again! I realized that it is not all about how strong your cards are. A player needs to strategize with his/her cards. Don't get me wrong, the higher your level of cards, the better you become in battles. Let talk about important abilities when playing noxious fume Immunity: immunity is one of the important abilities when battling Noxious fumes. Monsters with immunity ability can not be poisoned, the health of such monsters will not be damaged by Noxious fumes. Monsters with immunity are immune to negative effects such as affliction, poison, halving, and other negative effects. Therefore, monsters with immunity are the best monsters for this battle. The problem is that there were moments when immunity monsters were not given when noxious fumes were given. The only thing I did at the moment when immunity monsters were not given was to change my strategy by using monsters that can last longer in such battles. Cleanse ability: monsters with immunity are very rare in splinterlands. I don't have more than 3 monsters with immunity which made me prefer other monsters than monsters with immunity. Cleanse ability monsters are used most of the time by me. I love the combination of kelp Initiate and other monsters such as The kraken, Djinn Oshannus, Sea monster. When the mana is very small such as 25 or below that can accommodate Sea monster and kelp Initiate, I used both together because I believe that kelp Initiate will clean all the impurities in the sea monster including noxious fumes. Hence, noxious fumes will not have any negative effects when the cleanse and other abilities are activated. I love to use kelp Initiate because it gives me the opportunity to use whatever monster I want to use in the first position. Monster with Healing ability: this is my best monster to use. Even though I am giving more than 40 mana, I love to use this monster when Noxious fumes are given. A clear example was the day I was paired up with players. I could not remember the amount of mana that was given to me in those battles but I knew some of the mana were more than 40. In this kind of situation when higher mana is given, I don't like to use healing monsters in the first position, I used them in the fourth and fifth position. When monsters in the first to the third positions were eliminated, healing monsters were left in the battle 🐲. But when the mana is less than 24, I used 2 healing monsters- sea monster and water Elemental. Then added kelp Initiate with it. Note: there were noxious fumes battles I fought where healed out was among the rules, in this case I used magic monsters with kelp Initiate. This was because healing ability was deactivated from the battle; hence, healing ability can't work when healed out is among the rules. Monsters with Martyr: I am always happy to use monsters with martyr ability. The moment the monster is dead, the stats of adjacent monsters increase. You can watch this battle and understand better why I love to use monsters with martyr ability. Monsters with Magic abilities: One thing that makes me like magic monsters in noxious fumes is the direct attack of the health of monsters. Since noxious fumes only damage the health of monsters, using magic monsters will hasten the eliminated of monsters. Click here to watch the battle. Ruleset Noxious Fumes: All monsters start the battle poisoned. Aimless: All monsters have the scattershot ability. Up To Eleven: All monsters have the amplify ability. Monsters Arrangements Furious Chicken Splinter: Neutral Level: 3⭐⭐ Ability: martyr Speed: 1 Health: 2 Attack: Range Mana: 0 Furious Chicken was not used to attack, I needed this monster to delay opponent monsters. I knew in this kind of battle, Furious Chicken is useless when placing it in the last position because it will surely be destroyed by poison. Placing Furious Chicken in the first position was to take the first attack. 14 mana was too small to select the best monsters for this battle, I wanted to use Uriel the Purifier; I did not use Uriel the Purifier again because I would not be able to use a martyr monster Halfling Alchemist which was part of my plan. That was how I switched to Earth splinter because it have me the opportunity to use Fungus Funger and Halfling Alchemist. Fungus Fiend Splinter: Earth 🌍 Level: 1⭐ Ability: martyr Speed: 1 Health: 3 Attack: Melee Mana: 0 Another zero mana monster to delay opponent monsters from attacking my best monster. I knew most players would use the same strategy that my opponent used. Then, that was the reason I came up with a plan to emerge victorious. Flesh Golem Splinter: Earth 🌍 Level: 4 ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Ability: Healing Speed: 3 Health: 10 Attack: Melee Mana: 3 The healing ability was the reason I selected Flesh Golem; I knew the monster would lead my lineup and I placed it in 3rd position so that Furious Chicken and Fungus Fiend could be eliminated. After both monsters were killed, Flesh Golem led the battle to victory. Fungus Funger Splinter: Earth 🌍 Level: 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Ability: martyr and Blind Speed: 1 Health: 5 Attack: Range Mana: 3 Fungus Funger was used to increase the stats of Flesh Golem. You could see that when Fungus Funger died, Flesh Golem melee was increased by +1. That was exactly what I wanted in this monster; after the stats of Flesh Golem increased, it made it to be more stronger than opponent Uriel the Purifier. Halfling Alchemist Splinter: Neutral Level: 2⭐⭐ Ability: Halving Speed: 2 Health: 1 Armor: 1 Attack: Range Mana: 2 The moment I saw scattershot, I knew this monster could attack any monster in the opponent's lineup. If not Halfling Alchemist, it wouldn't have been easy for me to win this battle. Only one attack from Uriel the Purifier would have destroyed Flesh Golem. Halfling Alchemist broke the melee of Uriel the Purifier, which was the reason its attacks were not strong. Round 1 Halfling Alchemist was the first monster to attack; and it attacked Uriel the Purifier, breaking its melee. Without scattershot, it was the monster in the first position that Halfling Alchemist should attack. The scattershot rule made Halfling Alchemist attack Uriel the Purifier, which was the last monster in the opponent 's lineup. Fungus Funger attacked and eliminated soul fiend. Round 2 The Furious Chicken of my opponent and Halfling Alchemist were eliminated by poison. Uriel the Purifier killed Fungus Fiend; Flesh Golem missed the first attack as he led the lineup. In round 4 when Fungus Funger was eliminated, Flesh Golem's speed increased to 4 that made him attack faster than Uriel the Purifier. In round 8 which was the final round, Flesh Golem killed Uriel the Purifier. In conclusion, how suitable it is to have a summoner with immunity in the Splinterlands so that when such a rule is given, one can use such a summoner. What are you waiting for friends!
