Humans Unplugged

How can we break free from limiting narratives and conditioning to live a life of true creation and growth? Hi I'm Nina. I'm a social worker, counselor, coach, and content creator focused on helping others shift their perspective. The more we let go of the stories that hold us back, the more we get out of ourselves, and therefore the more we get out of life. There's a name I like to call people who are committed to the art of challenging their own stories, standards, and limited identities. I call them "Humans Unplugged." This podcast is my little invitation to you, to join me in the vulnerability and honesty required to practice this art.  Oh and, be ready to laugh as we ride the wave. All the love,Nina

I Wasn't Unmotivated, It Was Just My Environment

This week, Nina discusses that "get me out of here" feeling when we return to old environments. Going back to visit parents or an old town can bring up old patterns and responses we thought we broke free from. Perhaps it's not regression, but a reflection of our weak points.

    Why I Ditched "Holistic" Health

In this episode, Nina discusses the "pendulum" of growth. When we hold onto one extreme belief system, and that system comes crashing down, we often swing to the far opposite end to regain a sense of safety. In Nina's case, it was grasping onto mainstream holistic health to compensate for the disappointment of conventional medicine. Perhaps safety is not best found within extreme beliefs, but in our acceptance of the complexity and uncertainty of life.

Rewriting My Story Changed My Life

We can't change the past, we can't change others, and we can't erase the hardest challenges we've faced. But how does changing the narrative we have of our lives change the way we experience the present? In this episode, Nina tells her own story and describes how shifting her perspective set her free.

    What's a Human Unplugged?

It's not the kind of unplugging where we ditch technology...But a full-body understanding that freedom doesn’t exist until we unplug from the beliefs that tell us we aren't allowed to expand into our potential. With love,Nina
