Husky Story Time

A story about growth mindset and persisting. How different mindsets exist.   With a fixed mindset, it would be hard to see beyond what you know.  Sometimes, it would even stop us from trying and learning new things.  We worry too much about what we don’t know and it gets in the way of the fun in learning. With a growth mindset, we are constantly saying “yet” to ourselves.  We view things we don’t know yet as a great challenge.  With open mindedness, we are willing to hear different perspectives, and go on new journeys.  We set goals for ourselves and we put in efforts to work on tough stuff! It is important to know what your mindset may be, and learn ways to change from a fixed mindset to a growth mindset. Some days, we do get stuck.  Don’t fret, just ask for help!  Always ask yourself, is there anything I can do to make this situation different or better?  Who can I ask for help?After listening to the story, what do you think you would’ve done differently if you were Chippy? A story about an exciting rescue by a pair of unlikely collaborators.   Today’s story is about: How we sometimes wrongly believe that we have no control over what happens in our lives. We also sometimes wrongly believe that we are completely responsible for the outcome of a situation.  In fact, we all have influence over our lives, ourselves, and others. We can make waves and create change. Jumping to conclusion can be so harmful! Sometimes we get things wrong if we do not have all the information we need.  When we believe in something without checking if it’s true, we might be carrying a lot of wrong assumptions around! If we act according to our wrong assumptions, our actions may lead to a lot of problems.
