Afa Anoai is the best for allowing me to interview him on Husky Talk this week. I was able to discuss with Afa about my two favorite passions, football and wrestling. Plus, he let our interview go longer than planned. Hearing Afa’s experience growing up, performing in wrestling at 14 years old, getting back into football in 10th grade, the special father he had was incredible. Afa had a successful career in pro wrestling that took him all over the globe. He started Battlefield Pro Wrestling in 2020 during the Pandemic and it has now become a top Independent Wrestling promotion in the country. Afa learned from the best, his legendary father, he is an exceptional trainer of young talent, and they have a wrestling school. To start playing high school football at a top program, Freedom High in Pennsylvania, and dominate shows Afa being a great athlete. Guys who play from 8 years old on rarely achieve success like he did. A kind, funny dude that I had a pleasure interviewing. Anthony Guest Hosts
Only on 97.9 Unity Radio, we bring you Moneyline, back with an all-new episode. We have senior producer Anthony joining us from the Felger & Mazz show, Catching up on all the top Sports news stories of the week. Anthony will give us his expert insight and analysis on several hot issues from last week. We talk about Anthony's leadership being a Quarterback and how it has grown tremendously over the last few years. Football starts for his team and Anthony is excited for the season. Also, learning the offense diligently, as football has grown into his favorite sport, despite being an extremely talented at several. What an amazing feat because it takes a tremendous amount of work to be a special athlete. During games, Anthony is calm, cool, collected and earned respect from his teammates. He always stays positive, encouraging kids the next play is right around the corner. Anthony also will lead by example, rising to the occasion in big moments. Anthony is a huge Boston Celtics fan and injuries during the playoffs derailed their chance at repeating as NBA Champions. However, he does believe they will be a formidable opponent in the Eastern conference and selected them as one of the top 3 teams from the East. Still a big Patriots supporter, with the NFL training camps beginning, Anthony has grown more of a fan for the Philadelphia Eagles. Anthony likes what he sees from Eagles QB Jalen Hurts, along with a strong variety of weapons, he has high hopes for the defending Superbowl Champions. Moving to Baseball, Anthony is an outstanding infielder, playing shortstop and second base, while being able to hit the ball exceptionally well. What I am most impressed with is Anthony is not a whiner, complainer, or a gloater, regardless of the sport he is playing at the moment. Quiet, focused, and most importantly respectful, he understands improvements do not happen overnight. Putting in work to become better each day, he has a natural desire to reach his potential Anthony has interest in becoming a sports broadcaster, yes, I know, so do a million other kids. We are not going to reveal his age, and I promise if we did, our listeners would be shocked. For his first radio/podcast Co-Hosting appearance, this young man performed admirably. He can host better than I can, I would have no problem letting Anthony take the reins for our shows. The only problem, I would Wally Pipp myself out of a job! Well, I hear Starbucks is hiring! Anthony threw a TD pass, nailed a clutch 3 pointer, and hit a Grand slam homerun! Phenomenal episode with a kid who handled himself like a pro.... much more than I did!!!

Husky Talk- Stacey Nasser
Husky Talk returns with special guest Stacey Nasser, who is a high school administrator, along with being an assistant at Western Connecticut State University for Head Coach Maria Conlon. Stacey was born and raised in Trumbull, Connecticut, always had an interest in sports. From an early age, she played soccer, softball, basketball, and also danced. She loved being competitive, she had a coach's mindset from the start. Basketball developed as her love, although she was an exceptional talent in soccer. It becomes very challenging to play multiple sports as we get older because each one has expectations that require an extended commitment, which roll into other seasons. At 5'9, Stacey was competing at a position for girls who are traditionally over 6 feet tall. She did not see herself as a dynamic athlete, but loved basketball so much, she decided to walk on at UConn. She found her calling as a manager who really transformed into more of a student coach during her last few years. Stacey majored in Sports Management, and it is an amazing story. Stacey met Maria when she came back for a season to be a student assistant, however they interacted mostly in passing. Tonya Cardoza was named Women's Head Basketball Coach at Temple University and offered Stacey the job as Director of Operations. She is pragmatic, analytical, and used the opportunity to obtain her Master's Degree. Temple was a different experience than what she had been used to and Stacey made the best of her time. After leaving, Stacey became an Associate Athletic Director and crossed paths with Maria again. She would practice or help out whenever necessary, along with building a phenomenal AAU program. In October, Maria was officially named Head Coach at Western Connecticut State University and Stacey came along with her. She has such a great mind for basketball, understanding the intricacies that go along with it, and I can see her passion for the game. They are also business partners in Square Peg Pizzeria, which I can't wait to have again. With a big recruiting class, 2025-2026 we should see a major improvement at West Conn. Thank you Stacey!

Husky Talk- Cassie Kerns Returns
Husky Talk with Cassie Kerns, former UConn Women's Basketball National Champion, back by popular demand, we try to give our viewers what they want and Cassie was kind enough to come on another show. She is one of a kind, multi-talented, way smarter than I am, and always gives back. We received a huge amount of feedback and questions from Cassie's first appearance; she was gracious to answer our viewers questions. Cassie handles crisis mental health cases currently and is an excellent therapist. She diagnoses and helps many people set up for aftercare. Currently, she isn't taking on new clients. Cassie hopes to start a private practice by the end of the year, and then she will open her doors to new clients. She talked about her art and how important it has been in her life. Cassie uses art to express herself, this is where you see her creativity come out. She does have pieces for sale and you can e-mail her at [email protected] to see what is available and get more information. Cassie answered many questions from our viewers, I could not keep her all day, but we got through a good amount. She has a tremendous amount of knowledge and wisdom to offer. From life experiences and her work as a therapist. Such an amazing story of someone who set goals, wouldn't take no for an answer, overcame incredible adversity to become an inspiration. Working as a therapist, artist, model, she is also a wonderful mother. A polarizing episode where you can learn more than you can imagine. It was a pleasure, and we wish her a happy Mother's Day!

Husky Talk- Rashamel Jones
An unbelievable Husky Talk with former UConn Men's Basketball Star Rashamel Jones, who helped the Huskies win their first National Championship in 1999. Growing up, Rashamel was a three-sport guy playing basketball, baseball and football. “I was playing football and baseball before I ever picked up a basketball.” Rash had been on football and baseball teams starting around 5 but didn’t join a basketball team until around the age of 12. It wasn’t long before he realized basketball was becoming his favorite of the three sports. One day in the spring of the eighth grade, Rash’s gym teacher asked him what his plans were for high school. Having grown up in Mount Vernon, New York, Rash said he’d probably go to Mount Vernon or Port Chester. Rash’s gym teacher went on to tell him that he had accepted a new job as head football coach at Trinity Catholic High School in Stamford, Connecticut, and wanted to take Rash with him to play on his team. Rash visited Trinity Catholic with his teacher and while there he saw the varsity basketball team practicing. The basketball coach asked Rash if he wanted to jump in. First time he touched the ball, he tomahawks a dunk on Trinity’s player who started at center. Basketball was going very well, and he didn’t want to take the chance of getting hurt playing football. “The decision made sense, and I have no regrets.” Although Rash’s eighth grade gym teacher had invited Rash to Trinity to be on his football team, Rash actually never even played on the football team. Rash proceeded for the next four years to get on a 7:00 a.m. train in Mount Vernon arriving in Stamford, CT at 8:00 AM, then taking the city bus arriving at Trinity Catholic around 8:20 AM every morning, then returned to Mount Vernon each night. Rash was named Fairfield County Player of the Year three out of his four years, and during his senior year was the state of Connecticut and the Gatorade Player of the Year. For college, his top choices were UConn Huskies, Boston College, and UMass. He remembers Coach John Calipari from the Minutemen visiting him at home. Calipari told Rash he would start as a freshman, blow teams out with the tandem of him and Marcus Camby. When he left, Rash's grandmother said he sounded like a used car salesman and no way was he attending UMass. Coach Calhoun visited, there was no pomp in circumstance, only truth and transparency. Coach said he would get a few minutes playing behind UConn Legend and NBA star Ray Allen as a freshman. All playing time was earned by who worked the hardest, there were no promises. Rash's grandmother signed off, UConn was the best fit. Among some great memories while at UConn were winning the Big East Championship three out of his four years, and winning UConn’s first National Championship but more importantly, “The number one thing that I remember from UConn is the brotherhood. The team is around each other so much that you get the opportunity to know who these people are not only as student athletes, but getting to know these guys who are trying to accomplish the same things that I am.” A captain, a leader, who got up at 5am each day to take the train to high school, not arriving home until late at night. Not many teenagers have that kind of discipline, work ethic, or desire. Rash played professionally for several years and now has a job as a social worker helping the elderly. He cares and is giving back to a community who gets tossed aside. Rash allows senior citizens to live at home comfortably and they are well cared for. Also, he has 3 children who are extremely talented and are already having success. Such a fun show, we laughed, he told great stories. I get nervous interviewing basketball players, Rash was beyond nice, I admire all the amazing work he has done, and it was a pleasure talking with him!!

Husky Talk- Dan Deignan
All new Husky Talk with former UConn Football star Tight Endand captain Dan Deignan. This episode was a long time in the making, and we finally got it done. It was a long show, but worth every second. Dan shared some amazing memories and stories throughout our time, captivating, plusentertaining. Dan played football from the very beginning starting at 6years old, following in his older brothers' footsteps. Initially a kicker and linebacker, he attended powerhouse high school St. Thomas Aquinas in Florida. Dan's brother ended up playing at Purdue as a Punter and Kickoff specialist, also spent time in NFL camps. Dan was converted to a Tight End as a junior and had a standout senior season. UConn was recruiting him hard at the time. Coach Mike Kelly, who also recruited me was the Tight Ends coach. Dan took his official visit and knew UConn was where he wanted to be. He tells a funny story about seeing snow for the first time and making a snow angel on the field in front of everyonewho were quite surprised! His career was stellar, an outstanding work ethic, nobodyworked harder or gave more effort than Dan. He redshirted but still traveled and dressed for every game which was a great experience, He worked hard in the weight room, developed his technique, and got himself on the field. From his redshirt sophomore year on he was reliable, dependable, and a contributor. Dan played a big part on the best team at UConn in 1998 going 10-3 and winning the only playoff game in school history. I was his teammate in 1999 and 2000, Ilearned what it meant to bust your ass by watching Dan. In 2000, we had a different player as a captain for eachgame because Coach Edsall didn't feel anyone took the reins and stood out. After the season, at our awards banquet was when he decided to name who the true captain was for the year. Dan won the award, and I believe it was such aspecial accomplishment to this day. His desire, dedication, determination was unmatched. Dan played with such heart and passion; he led by example but also took charge vocally when needed. Coming back his senior year from doubleshoulder surgery, is inspiring and showed his love for the game. That is the definition of leadership and Dan stepped up, always was our leader. Now he has a family, a successful job working in medicalsales, a 10-year-old son that he coaches in all sports. It was a blast talking with Dan, I haven't seen him in 25 years, but he is another alum who is the definition of bleeding blue. I respect everything he has done and accomplished, thank you for coming on the show. It was an honor to hear his journey.

Husky Talk- Nedvonne Young
Husky Talk had an outstanding guest in Nedvonne Young. We will do another episode talking about UConn. This was a fascinating story from a former teammate that was captivating. Growing up initially in Florida, then moving to Brooklyn, having to live in different parts of Brooklyn as a child, Nedvonne was dedicated from day one. Learning to overcome adversity at a young age, working a job when he was 7 years old, he always contributed, starting at a young age and did everything possible to help his family. Having sisters, living with his mother, he was considered the man of the house. Nedvonne was nervous, but he took that responsivity seriously and developed a strong work ethic. His mother was a phenomenal teacher to him and Nedvonne credits his Entrepreneural spirit coming from his mom. A dynamic athlete, he didn't play sports until 7th grade, from football to swimming, to track, there was nothing he couldn't do. We talk about religion, faith and God. Nedvonne explains to me about the Holy Spirit, surrendering to Jesus, praying multiple times a day, almost like having conversations with God. I asked him for his take, advice on a few things and he was gracious enough to talk me though certain issues I was having. At the end we talk business and Nedvonne starting Freshfold Laundry Co in Carrboro, NC which is near Chapel Hill. A high-end Laundry Service that he opened in January. The business is doing well and that is no surprise with Nedvonne as the owner. It is not a laundromat where you go in, wash and dry your clothes yourself. This is an amazing service, clothes are dropped off, they are wash, dried, and folded for you in lightning speed. Go to their website at www.freshfold-laundry.com to see how much they offer from online scheduling, weekly or bi-weekly subscriptions, and more to come. Nedvonne has a strong portfolio because he invests in areas that have a good chance to make money. Owning Real Estate Properties, looking at businesses from the Baby Boomer era where an owners kids or grandkids aren't planning to take over the business. Nedvonne understands an excellent investment opportunity that could sell for less, that he can get rolling. I was impressed with his vision for the next 5 years and love the goals he has set. This was one of my favorite conversations and I learned a ton from Nedvonne.

Husky Talk- Jordan Younger
All new Husky Talk with UConn Football legend Jordan Younger. What an amazing story from starting to play football as a sophomore in high school to becoming a star. JY is a spectacular athlete who did it all. From dominating in college to having an incredible professional career. Talk about longevity, he was on an NFL roster , went to NFL Europe for 3 seasons, did a one year stretch in arena football before finding a home in the CFL for many years. Taking home a Grey Cup championship twice. JY was a playmaker who became a stud in Canada with Toronto. Now he parlayed his playing knowledge into becoming a fantastic coach. Not only that, he learned as a position coach and landed a job as a Defensive Coordinator for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. JY put together a defense that was the best in the CFL in many categories. Pretty good for his first season running the defense? I had a blast being able to interview him. Very calm, JY has a brilliant mind for the game. He doesn’t play politics, he is honest and transparent with his players, treating them like men. I was happy to hear he has a family and a 6-year-old son. I have a feeling we will be hearing about his kid in a few years because he is going to be a talent like his father. It won’t be long until JY gets a head coaching job. Jordan, I’ll email my resume! Kelly
8 months ago an angel came into my life who put me back together when I was broken. She does not like attention or accolades, good thing nobody listens to the show. This is my thank you to her and how grateful I am to have had her in my life. Hopefully, we continue to talk because I owe her my life and care for her when I know she needs to see significant growth before she would ever consider me seriously. It will probably never happen, but I am happy, blessed, lucky and appreciative she was in my life. My family would never have made it through the difficult times without Kelly and she is truly special. Hopefully, I can grow into a man she will be proud of one day.

A spectacular Husky Talk with UConn Football legendary Defensive Back Scott Mitchell. From Hamden, Connecticut, this was truly a great interview. Scott has a captivating story and was a blast talking with. A freak athlete from in state who never had dreams or aspirations of attending college, Scott has amazing accomplishments. Thank you to Dave Schuman for helping me get in contact with Scott. Scott didn't play football until pop warner in 7th grade. He attended Notre Dame in West Haven, Connecticut which was an all-boys school. Scott was an outstanding athlete, played everywhere on the field, including as a Quarterback in the Wishbone Offense when he was a junior and senior. Coach Tom Jackson recently passed away, and his service was held today, every player of his said he was an incredible leader of young men. That he gave guys chances they normally never would have received. Tom Jackson did not coach football after leaving UConn, but his legacy will never be forgotten. He knew the value of a college scholarship, cultivated his players to be mentally and physically tough while knowing his job was to win games. I never met Coach Jackson, I believe he prepared every kid who came through his program to succeed in life long after football ended. Coach saw the big picture, when you look at where his players have gone in life after graduation, you see a plethora of success stories, Executives, CEO's, Business owners. To change or make a profound difference in someone's life is truly special. Scott actually ran indoor track as a freshman when he was redshirted and shares a funny story about one of the meets. After, he ended up as a 3-year starter at Safety playing for now Defensive Coordinator of the Chiefs Steve Spagnolo, one of the best defensive minds in NFL History. Scott was a speeding bullet and tells a great story about having to tackle Natrone Means when UConn played against North Carolina. I related to so much of what Scott said, like taking things day by day, not having a long-term plan. He loves Beverly Sims (Who doesn't?), who was our CPIA counselor, she was able to find him a major he was interested in, and he graduated with a degree in Sports Management or Sports Marketing, Ah, it's all the same! Scott had a storybook ending with Pam Webber Mitchell, who was a star on the UConn Women's Basketball first ever National Championship Team in 1995. Scott said even going to Friendly's they would get mobbed, and people argue to this day that the women are more popular than the men. They moved closer to her family in State College, PA, where Scott is now the CEO of two YMCA's. A father of 2 children, one is playing sports in college and the other is on their way up. Most certainly, Pam and Scott will be cheering on another athlete competing for a University. I had fun interviewing Scott and this is what Husky Talk is all about. Checking in on our alumni and building a network, as he will try to help me secure other players to catch up with. RIP Coach Jackson.

Husky Talk- Justin Perkins
Husky Talk with one of the greatest cornerbacks inUConn Football history,Justin Perkins. He shares a spectacular journey from playing football in the streets, to little league, high school, not even starting until his senior year.He has the smartest mom in Florida, other kids being recruited who had no interest in the schools when coaches visited, Justin would bring home the questionnaires. Then she asked for his game film, made copies, sent them to the addresses with a Justin's name and info filled out. It paid off, now college coaches were coming to watch him play,Lyndon Johnson being the first from UConn. Justin had a phenomenal game and was soon on the phone talking to CoachRandy Edsall. Justin didn't even realize he met Coach Edsall in the past when he was at Boston College because they recruited his cousin. Coach had Justin and his cousin over at his house for dinner. After, his cousin committed to BC where Randy was the Secondary Coach. This led to Justin's cousin having a 7-year NFL career which was crucial to his decision to commit to UConn. First, he was memorized by the snow, always wanted to try skiing and wasn't fazed by the cold. Second, he knew and believed Coach Edsall could get him to the NFL. Justin credits Taurine Gray joined the staff as DB's coach and said the game slowed down for him like the Matrix. After an unfortunate season ending injury in 2002, Justin dominated in 2003 and 2004 with a combined 11 Interceptions with a number of pass breakups. He was preseason All-Big East 1st team going into his senior year, which ended triumphantly with theUConn Huskies winning their first Bowl game against Toledo. Husky Talk- Razul Wallace
Husky Talk with Razulallah Wallace, former UConn Football linebacker who hit like a MAC Truck. One of my favorite people, Razulallah Wallace was truly the definition of what it takes to be with the UConn Huskies. Raz grew up in Hicksville, NY which is on Long Island, and played football from the time he was 8 years old. He despised it! When he turned 13, Raz made a decision he was going to be the hammer instead of the nail. On one play when he was at linebacker, he drilled the teams best played and that gave him the confidence he would succeed. Highschool was a different experience because he had to wait his turn to play, coach would always go with the upperclassmen. Unfortunately, and injury kept him out his entire junior year, but as a senior, Raz completely dominated. Recruited by Coach Toop and Coach Todd Orlando at Penn, the ivy league schools wanted him. With strong grades to go with his 1250 SAT score, Raz was touted. However, life tends to throw us curve balls and Coach Todd Orlando with defensive coordinator Mike Toop ended up being hired by Coach Randy Edsall at UConn which changed plans. UConn was Razul's last official visit, and he committed because they had a full scholarship for him which made the difference. From there we tell stories about our freshmen year and camp, How we both struggled against the speed of the game. Razul picked up the defense and started or played all 4 years. Nobody hit harder, ran faster, and knocked me into outer space more than Razul. Procyon Partners is our longest, tenured sponsor of Husky Talk. A special Husky Talk with a dream come true for me, being able to co-host with the I.C.O.N, best of the best, Voice of the UConn Huskies Joe D'Ambrosio. Plus, he was able to spend time with me doing shows two days in a row without me making his blood pressure go up. Our guest is one of the best players in UConn Football history, on the all-century team, along with playing 16 years in the NFL, former Tight End Brian Kozlowski. Joe covered football regularly around that era, his knowledge and expertise was huge, I appreciate, along with being grateful he did the episode with me.Thank you Procyon Partners, The Finch Firm LLC, Dynamic Human Performance LLC, and Trench Mob for being sponsors, we included their video advertisements in the show. Husky Talk- Cedric Baylor
Husky Talk is back with hell of a guest, former UConn Linebacker @uc45official. We were teammates and I did not know his story, learning about what he is doing now is really special. Watch the episode, it's an amazing journey. a true story of resilience and success. Cedric grew up in Virginia and didn't play football until he was in 8th grade. He played in the backyard but never had an opportunity to play as a youth and fell in love with the game when he finally was able to put pads on. Cedric played at one of the best high schools in Virginia, but the staff was not as proactive about sending their kids to play college football. Not being offered out of high school despite incredible statistics, he went to Lackawanna Junior College, one of the top JC programs in the country. Cedric continued to dominate and in 2001, with Nick Graby, @ezracarey all came to @uconnfootball from Lackawanna College, making an impact. Coach @re122198 always believed in Junior College players who. Coach Edsall and Coach @coachtoddorlando changed Cedric's life. He worked Construction before taking a leap with his Entrepreneural spirit and started his own company in New Haven, Above Average Transportation. They provide underprivileged kids with rides they normally would be without. They have contracts with schools and different groups supporting kids to participate in sports or any club, which has made a tremendous difference in the community. Go to their website at https://aboveaverageservices.com to see the services offered. Cedric runs a Non-Profit Organization called the Future Leaders Academy. They work with adolescents on building life skills and developing leadership qualities. Cedric has a family of his own and is truly a remarkable person who always gives back. It was a heartwarming episode, and he is doing God's work. Thank you @procyon_partners with President @seanjrabinowitz, thank you @thefinchfirm with Pete Finch, thank you @dynamichp_llc with @andre_dixon2, thank you @greenstreetfamilyoffice with Ronel Jumpp and thank you @trenchmobusa with @juliustrenches for being outstanding sponsors.

Husky Talk- Kevin Bannister
All new Husky Talk with UConn Football legendary DB and Captain Kevin Bannister. Being able to have Kevin and Robert Belcuore on in the same week, two top defensive players in UConn Huskies history is gold. Kevin was born in Shelton and played in Danbury. He tells some amazing stories about growing up and his career at UConn. Playing for defensive coordinator, "the round man" Greg Williams and head coach Tom Jackson. He talks about the dominant secondary they had, and opponents would feel pain the next day after playing UConn. Kevin was gracious in giving a ton of credit for his success in life after football to Beverly Sims who took care of thousands of football players during her time. He praised her for getting Kevin started with a job working in insurance and it turned out to be the best career for him. He has achieved success, provided an incredible life for his family, and is beyond thankful Bev took care of him. Husky Talk- Robert Belcuore
All new Husky Talk with an UConn Football legend who could be a professional storyteller for a living, because he had me rolling, former Defensive Linemen Robert Belcuore. A description will not do this episode justice. I met Robert Friday night before the bowl game and was excited he came to my event. A badass player, who knocked the hell out of anyone with the ball, he was a force on defense. Tough as nails, he could play 85 snaps a game, along with special teams. Held single season records for tackles at 85, sacks at 11 that lasted many years. A true character who has gone on to success after UConn. It was incredible to meet so many amazing UConn Alumni in Boston. We plan to keep in touch and do another episode with his good friend, also a legend, Brian Kozlowski! Husky Talk- Sam Dorvil
All I can say is this was the most powerful, impactful. Husky Talk I have ever done. Samuel Dorvil is a walking, talking, miracle who is wise beyond his years. Probably the most amazing life story I have ever heard, Sam is destined for greatness and has already achieved more than most will in a lifetime. I knew about Sam before the interview but I didn't really know him on a personal level. He blew me away with his stories of faith, careers, career changes, finding a passion in life for what you do and sticking with it. Sam helped me on a spiritual journey providing incredible advice from his own experiences, for that, I am forever grateful he went out of his way to provide guidance. This is an inspirational Husky Talk, and Sam is just a great human being. Instead of complaining, he goes out and makes changes happen through his actions. Husky Talk- BAMA
Husky Talk Returns with one of the greatest Linebackers in UConn Football History, Lawrence Wilson, AKA BAMA. The nickname was because he was the first UConn player ever to come from Alabama and boy did he sure play like it. Lawrence grew up in Tuscaloosa, Alabama and started playing football at the age of 6, when he was primarily a Running Back. When he got to high school in 10th grade, he was switched over to play LB on defense and the rest I would say is history. Bama was a speeding bullet, playing sideline to sideline, tackling anyone who had the ball. He came from an athletic family, so his father put together all his highlight films, Bama attended many college camps each summer in high school, but shockingly, he was not offered a single scholarship. Luckily, one of those films went to UConn and they offered him the next day after watching him dominate. It was not easy coming to the cold of Connecticut, but it was sure easy enough for him to make plays on the field. He was part of two Big East Championships in 2007 and 2010, also was in the only graduating class in UConn Football history, that went to 4 straight bowl games from 2007 to 2010. As a freshman, he was an All American, while his junior and senior years he was named 1st Team All-Big East for putting fear into his opponents. After being drafted in the 6th round and playing in the NFL several seasons, he is right back in Alabama where it all began. What a wild and crazy episode you want to catch!. Husky Talk- Audra Pittman
I am becoming a big fan of UConn Women's Track and Field Alumni. On Husky Talk, we had Dr. Audra Price Pittman as our guest. She was a delight to interview and was full of excitement! Audra grew up in Connecticut and was a tremendous athlete. She loved to run and took an interest in track. Being recruited heavily in high school, she committed to UConn because her mother worked there, and she also received a scholarship. Audra had an incredible career at UConn running indoor and outdoor track. I believe she also was on the cross-country team as well. She had a passion for art and was extremely talented. Audra finished her senior season as a Husky breaking the record in the 800 meters, which stood for 20 years and was truly a special accomplishment. After UConn, Audra received her Masters Degree in Baltimore and was actually an extra on my favorite show, The Wire, which aired on HBO. I watched the scene she was part of and loved that she had that opportunity. Eventually, Audra moved to Florida and received her PHD, Dr. Audra Pittman followed in her mother's shows and is a professor at SCAD. The Savannah College Of Art And Design is located in Georgia, as well as Florida, Dr, Pittman works at both locations, She is married to an attorney and has children of her own including a pair of twins. They are athletic like their mother and have a bright future. My hope is to do a podcast with the UConn Track Women with Keisha Cummings, Bethany Hart, Dr. Audra Pittman, and hopefully Dr. Trisha Bailey if she has time for another episode. All of the women are accomplished, successful, and polarizing. Procyon Partners is our longest tenured sponsor of Husky Talk. They are one of the top 50 fastest growing companies in the nation. They specialize in wealth management, employee benefits, and retirement planning. President Sean Rabinowitz is a great friend and consultant. The best news of all, we found a bone marrow match for Sean's son Ben! Thanks to everyone who helped set up drives, went and got tested. Thank you to the person who will be the match that saves Ben! UConn Football is on the verge of an 8-win season thanks to Mike Burton and his team raising money for Bleeding Blue For Good, our NIL Collective. Husky Talk- Jordan Todman
Husky Talk is back with former UConn Football Running Back who played 7 years in the NFL, Jordan Todman. A tough, physical runner with breakaway speed, who tore it up splitting time with Andre Dixon. They became the first UConn Huskies RBs to both rush for 1000 yards in the same season. Jordan grew up in Massachusetts and played at Dartmouth high school where he was a star playing both ways on offense, as well as defense. He was highly recruited and came to UConn to have a chance to play early and they wanted him as an RB on offense which is where he wanted to be. Jordan's career at UConn came and went very fast it seemed. He played as a true freshman, as a backup to Donald Brown who was a 1st round draft pick by the Colts. Then things took off his sophomore and junior seasons, teaming with Andre Dixon. In 2010 he rushed for over 1600 yards, averaging 5 yards a carry and scoring 14 Touchdowns, leading UConn to a Big East Championship. With that accomplishment, the Husky's played in their first BCS Bowl, going to the Fiesta out in Arizona. After his dominance in college, he had done it all and Jordan declared early for the NFL draft. He spent 7 years in the NFL, which is very hard to do as a RB. He ran hard, his speed never left him, he played on special teams, and carving out a nice career for himself. Currently Jordan is the RB coach, Run game coordinator at Limestone University, a division 2 school where he came into a program in shambles and helped to turn it around. They went from 0-9 to 8-3, head coach is former Jets WR Jericho Cotchery and they have an amazing staff. Jordan coached Tre Stewart who moved up to Jacksonville State, now in the top 10 in Rushing and scoring in the country. This season he coaches Kevin Lalin who rushed for 1000 yards and was All Conference. In Jordans 3 seasons, he has coached three RBs who have rushed for over 1000 yards. If you have interest in Limestone College, a division 2 school in South Carolina, email Jordan at [email protected] especially if you are from Florida. Procyon Partners is our longest tenured sponsor of Husky Talk. They are one of the top 50 fastest growing companies in the nation. They specialize in wealth management, employee benefits, and retirement planning. President Sean Rabinowitz is a great friend and consultant. Husky Talk- Mike Sasson
A Husky Talk over a year in the making, I finally got to interview Former UConn star offensive tackle and a big brother to me when I was a freshman, Mike Sasson. We went long but it was worth every second, when you get to spend time with a comedian, you take advantage of it! A description will not due this episode any justice. Mike was beyond hilarious and is a fantastic storyteller. You hear how he ended up at UConn, his time playing all over, center, guard, and tackle. He was a 36-game starter and one of the best offensive tackles in the ECAC on the 1998 UConn team which is still the best in school history, Life after UConn, going to broadcasting school, having his own sports show, working for WFAN on radio, and a seasoned podcaster. Mike found his true talent in comedy and has worked as a comedian for 12 years. Living in LA now, he looks phenomenal, and you can see why he is amazing at making people laugh. Mike was a mentor to me when I was a freshman, he was patient, understanding and took time to teach me different techniques. I struggled and was considering leaving, Sasson, Burton, Jamie Harper, Corey Derfuss, Mark Campoli, Steve Darby were the best group of guys. Sasson and Burton really helped, watched over me, I will forever be grateful. Procyon Partners is our longest tenured sponsor of Husky Talk. Husky Talk- Keisha Cummings
All new Husky Talk with former UConn Track & Field / Cross Country star Keisha Cummings. She ran on a club team as a 6-year-old and never stopped. Her coach was a tremendous influence in her career and life. Keisha grew up in Philadelphia and I was amazed she started running track at an early age. She was on a club team with a legendary coach all the way through high school. They would compete at college event's while she was in high school and Keisha's team would win. She started receiving scholarship offers as a 10th grader and then exploded when she was a junior. Keisha ran the 800 and we talked about the strategy involved. Depending on who she was up against, a group could box her in and Keisha had explosive top end speed. A fast start, and then for the last 150 to 200 meters she would turn on the jets to win. Keisha committed to the UConn Huskies, competed in cross country, plus indoor and outdoor track. She credits Lissa Bloom Jussaume and her family for having her on holidays when she was not able to get home. She loves Trisha Bailey and is beyond proud of all she has accomplished. We had such a great interview; I didn't realize we went 2 hours long. Working in Virginia she promotes love, and treating people with respect. She advocates for local black youth's, she helps people find housing, meals, Keisha started her own business because she preaches kindness and wants everyone to love each other. My description does not to this episode justice. Watch and you will be moved by how much Keisha cares. Procyon Partners is our longest tenured sponsor of Husky Talk. Husky Talk- Kevin Freeman
A special Husky Talk with UConn Huskies Basketball Legend Kevin Freeman. Kevin played professionally overseas for 11 years before transitioning into coaching. He came back to UConn on Jim Calhoun's staff in the 2011-2012 season coaching and as the Assistant Director of Basketball Administration. Kevin stayed on after Calhoun retired and new head coach Kevin Ollie took over and became the Director of Basketball Administration. Freeman was an instrumental part of the Huskies winning the national championship in 2014. Coach Dan Hurley brought Kevin back in 2020 after he spent a few years on the staff at Penn State. Currently, he is an Associate Director of Athletics, along with being the Executive Director of The National C Club. The Club promotes UConn Alumni engagement with our current student athletes and graduates. Anyone who lettered in a sport is eligible to join the C Club and please go to their website at https://uconnhuskies.com/sports/2024/6/20/national-c-club.aspxto sign up. Kevin stressed the importance of utilizing our alumni to help our student athletes with job opportunities and career advice. Join the C CLUB today, Kevin has been outstanding and is growing the group. I signed up after talking with Kevin and am excited to contribute. Kevin played early on Springfield, and then moved to New Jersey where he played on one of the best AAU teams in the country, Tim Thomas was one of his teammates. He visited UConn and committed to Coach Calhoun. His freshman class in 1996 that had a tremendous amount of talent. Coach Calhoun developed Kevin's group, they built more toughness, mentally and physically. Kevin said losing to North Carolina in the 1998 NCAA tournament was devastating. But Coach Calhoun came in the locker room and proclaimed that next year they would go to the Final 4. Having a truly magical season, the 1998-1999 team lived up to expectations, and Kevin was a force, along with having strong leadership, which led UConn to their first Men's Basketball NCAA Championship. Kevin went on to a successful career playing overseas and then as a coach. We are thrilled to have him back home at UConn now. Procyon Partners is our longest tenured sponsor of Husky Talk. Husky Talk- Andre Dixon
A Husky Talk that I have been looking forward to for months, one of my favorite players to watch, RB Andre Dixon. He played at a top high school in New Jersey at New Brunswick where he said football and the organization saved his life. After school, study hall was mandatory for all players, the weightlifting and finishing with practice. His team was loaded with Division 1 players, and after Andre dominated at UConn Football's camp, he committed to Randy Edsall. Redshirting as a Freshman, he rushed for 828 yards as a sophomore averaging 5 yards a carry while splitting time with eventual 1st round pick Donald Brown. He posted his best numbers his senior year when he and Jordan Todman both rushed for over 1000 yards in a single season. He averaged 4.6 Yards a carry and led the team with 15 Touchdowns. Andre was named player of the game in the 2010 Papa Johns bowl running for 126 yards and a TD. My favorite memory of Andre Dixon was watching him carve up Notre Dame's defense in 2009. He ran hard, he ran angry, through defenders, around defenders, over defenders for 120 yards on 14 carries, scoring the game winning TD in double overtime to shockingly upset Notre Dame at home. Andre bounced around playing professionally, starting as an undrafted free agent with the NY Giants. He spent time in the UFL and CFL before moving back to Connecticut and starting his own business Dynamic Human Performance in Hartford, CT. He has a great team with him to work with athletes interested in all sports. Andre also works with adults, anyone who wants to improve their fitness, he will take them on. https://dynamichumanperformance.com is the website and he has 5,000 square feet to make incredible gains. Husky Talk- Julius "Trenches" Williams
All new Husky Talk with Julius Trenches , AKA Julius Williams, a former UConn Football versatile Defensive forces who was an outstanding pass rusher. Coming all the way from Georgia, his story is one of dedication, perseverance, and desire. Excited we connected and I was mesmerized listening to his story. From a family of 5 kids, Julias played on season as a youngster before being thrown to the wolves as a varsity player in 8th grade. He played at one of the smaller schools in Decatur, Georgia and was playing both ways early on. He saw action as a Tight End, Linebacker, before dominating as a Defensive End his senior year. Unfortunately, he tore his ACL and missed significant playing time but performed well at camps he attended the summer going into his senior season. Julius was being recruited by schools in the SEC and ACC before his ACL injury, he remembered coach Vinny Marino always called, never stopped recruiting him. On his visit in January, he met with coach Randy Edsall and committed to be a Husky. Hear is story as he started out as a Middle Linebacker, played as a freshmen and credits coach Todd Orlando, Alfred Fincher for teaching him the game on another level. After another ACL injury his sophomore year, he redshirted. Julius told me he watched more film on my good friend Uyi Osunde, which helped him become a dynamic force as a pass rusher. Logging 15 sacks, he could dominate offensive tackles in pass protection. Also, one a share of our first Big East Championship, played in the Meinke Car Care Bowl, Papa Johns Bowl, and left victorious defeating Buffalo in the International Bowl in Toronto. He played professionally for many years in the NFL, CFL, UFL, and AFL before being ready for the next chapter of his life. He started Trench Mob which runs camps all over the country, working with offensive defensive linemen. Go to his website at www.battleofthetrenches.com to get information on what they offer, sign up for camps, or book Julius for speaking engagements. Husky Talk- Scholarship Increases/Losing Walk-Ons
A special Husky Talk with Joe Villipiano and Jeff Larson, two former walk-on UConn Football Players join the show to discuss the NCAA moving to 105 scholarships. Which will also be the roster limit, meaning that if teams are able to fully fund 105 scholarships, it will mean the end of having walk-on players on the roster. Joe and Jeff were incredible people, worked just as hard, if not harder than our scholarship players, with the same expectations of being on time for meetings, watching film, traveling to games and performing when their number was called. Jeffery did this while serving out country as well, which is even more impressive. Husky Talk- Moe Lloyd
A Husky Talk that is worth its weight in GOLD, former All Big East Linebacker Moe Lloyd, who won a Grey Cup in his 5 seasons in the CFL, comes on the show. We have tried to connect several times, but Moe has an extremely busy schedule. Between coaching a state Championship team in Florida as a Co-Defensive Coordinator, being a sales specialist at a car dealership, and now getting into Real Estate after becoming licensed. His career on the field was spectacular, however I am more impressed with what he has done off it. Coaching, mentoring, helping kids from his time in Connecticut to now being in Florida. Truly an incredible person, I am so proud of him for all he has accomplished. Having 4 kids and being a great father. This was a special interview and when you hear his journey, you will understand why. Love you Moe! Procyon Partners is our biggest, longest tenured sponsor of Husky Talk. Husky Talk- David Pindell
Husky Talk returns with former UConn Quarterback David Pindell. He shares a wild journey with us and was an absolute pleasure to interview. David never played youth football and started in 9th grade at a small school in Maryland that was not the best program. Not only beginning a new sport, but he was also placed at the most difficult position on the field at QB. In the offseason, he worked with his coach on watching film, along with mechanics necessary for QBs to have success. David has a tremendous work ethic and by his senior year, he led his team to an undefeated season, playing outstanding. He was a duel threat QB, able to run and had a strong arm to make any throw. Being recruited late, he ended up at Lackawanna, which is one of the best junior colleges in the country. He tore it up and did very well for them. Coach Randy Edsall recruited him when he was still at Maryland, when he took the UConn job in 2017, he signed David to go with him. As a Husky, David had a great senior year, throwing for nearly 2000 yards, 20 TD passes, along with 1,142 yards rushing with 10 TDs, he did it all. David went undrafted but attended minicamps as a Wide Receiver, Running Back, Kick/Punt Returner and did not make a roster. He made his way up north to the CFL with the Montreal as a QB, which is where he wanted to stay. COVID happened, the CFL did not play and David was putting his highlight films all over social media. Calls came in from Japan, where American Football has grown in popularity and there are a few leagues. After working out, receiving several offers, David signed and has been their ever since. I believe he will receive another opportunity to play QB in the NFL, he is too dynamic of a player and deserves another shot. Procyon Partners is our biggest, longest tenured sponsor of Husky Talk. Husky Talk- Dr. Trisha Bailey
A polarizing episode of Husky Talk with a truly special UConn Track alumni, Dr. Trisha Bailey. She is an inspiration to all of us, who turned a small medical supplies business into a juggernaut that operates through 7 states. Her net worth is astounding, Dr. Bailey is a successful entrepreneur, performed extremely well working on Wall Street, her memoir is a very emotional read titled: Unbroken "The Triumphant Story Of A Womans Journey." This show was produced by Kelly Greene, who is a LMHC and did a spectacular job helping me prepare to interview Dr. Bailey. Her research and input was instrumental, I am grateful, as well as thank her for being there for me. Dr. Baily grew up in Jamica, her grandmother had an incredible impact on her life from an early age. I saw her face glowing as she told the story of her grandmother walking several miles just to make sure the family had food to feed not only them, but the everyone in that area. Afterwards, Dr. Bailey's grandmother would drink broth or whatever was left because she made sure nobody went unfed. I am not going to begin to try to share Dr. Bailey's journey. You can listen to her journey from moving to the United States at age 13, attending Weaver High in Hartford before coming to UConn on a track scholarship. Life after graduation, she started out working in different careers, while overcoming obstacles, adversity, and trauma. Dr. Bailey started her first business in 2011 which distributed medical supplies to Medicare patients. She stressed being kind to people always, giving back and not needing to be a millionaire to do so. Dr. Bailey is spiritual and believes we can all help by donating money or our time to those in need. A true philanthropist, who donates to UConn, along with many other charities, she is an amazing person, and I thank her for sitting down for Husky Talk! The best sports show in Worcester, MA is back on 97.9 FM Unity Radio, executive producer Ernie Floyd, Moneyline. Featuring Dave Schuman, the Voice of REASON Frank Cristiano, and hosted by Steve Cully. We talk about the week in sports, we cover the NFL and College Football. Dave talks about the QB play in the NFL, especially the rookie quarterbacks, being mediocre overall. Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen are on a different level than the rest of the league. Frank mentions Caleb Williams with the Bears and how well he has been playing. The weapons his team has surrounded him with and someone like Carolina never gave QB Bryce Young any weapons. Dave and I mention how if a team can play in 2 tight end sets or use a fullback, they will gash NFL teams running the ball because they don't have the personnel to match up. We go over the plight of the Cowboys and dominance of the entire NFC North Division. Forty Second Brewrey is a proud sponsor of Moneyline. Steve Darby is a friend and owner, they are located in Kingston, MA. With a variety of pilsners, IPAs, and Lagers, they also have a beautiful tasting room.

Husky Talk- Ron Gamble
Procyon Partners is our biggest, longest tenured sponsor of Husky Talk. They specialize in wealth management, employee benefits, and retirement planning. President Sean Rabinowitz is a great friend and consultant. Husky Huddle along with Husky Talk has grown to become the best coverage for UConn Football. Husky Talk returns with the power of former UConn Football Defensive Lineman Ron Gamble. A fascinating story from playing a one season of youth football, which turned out to be a nightmare, Ron was a big boy and at 10 years old was playing with 12- to 13-year-old kids who knocked him around. Not a fun experience. Ron played at a smaller school at Maryland and was the starting Running Back while the best athlete on the team played QB. He and his father went to a company with all his game film, where Ron sat for hours picking out his best plays to put together a VHS highlight tape. Very time consuming and hard, they sent out 20 tapes. Ron shares a funny story of a school actually sending his film back with a note. He was offered by the UConn Huskies and Howard University. His official visit to Howard was.....well..... Ill let him tell you what happened. At UConn, his visit was great, and he committed on the spot to play fullback. As we all know, life tends to throw you lemons, and we know not to make lemonade, we take two oranges and chuck them back at life. Because of injuries, Ron was moved to Defensive End, where he never played before. A steep learning curve, Ron fought through and did his best being on the field as a true Freshmen. However, after that year, Ron became a dominant force on the Defensive Line. Putting on weight, grinding it out lifting, he turned into a beast. From his sophomore year on, Ron kicked ass and took names. He was a senior when I was a freshman and I was terrified to look at him. Ron threw me around like a sack of shit. He had a great career and majored in Communications. Now, he is in law enforcement, working as a school resource officer and coaches high school football, along with having 4 kids. His 13-year-old is a talent, plays football and Ron will be coaching him. I probably said 5 words to Ron when I was a freshman. Loved talking with him, a very nice and funny dude, we wish him the best. UConn Football is on a roll because Mike Burton and his team have been raising money for Bleeding Blue For Good our NIL collective. We have to step up and donate because every dollar count. It's not all about the huge donations. We need more UConn Alumni to be involved. Donate $200 or $500 dollars, as long as more people can give, we will have continued success. Mike was kind enough to have Kelly Greene and I sit in his suite for the Temple game. I witnessed how much we have improved and the outstanding talent that we brought in. Mike had laid the foundation for us to back where we belong as a great program. Please go to www.bleedingblueforgood.org and give whatever you can. Pete Finch is our newest sponsor, and we are thrilled to have him on board. The The Finch Firm LLC has quickly made an impact in the community all across the state fighting for clients’ rights and interests. A Weekend At UConn
A weekend at UConn with the beautiful girl in my life that I may, or may not be seeing, Kelly Greene on Husky Talk. We did not have my podcast equipment and recorded over the phone. Kelly has been a true blessing to me and has always been there. I am not easy to deal with and she hasn't given up on me yet. I can only hope to continue trying to become a better person so I will be able to definitively say she IS the girl I am SEEING! Procyon Partners is our, longest tenured sponsor of Husky Talk. They are one of the top 50 fastest growing companies in the nation. President Sean Rabinowitz is a great friend and advisor to me. Kelly shares the story of our trip from start to finish. I don't want to give anything away, but it is a great listen. She wanted to thank Courtney Williams for driving us, and helping, as I was not prepared to tailgate. I didn't want to pack a cooler and figured how hard could it be to pick up some food before the game near the stadium? A big miscalculation on my part. Then she met a host of people, starting with the ageless beauty Beverly Sims, far from being 80 years young. Tyler King was next and he could have a reality TV show. Terry McClowry and his family came. His wife Margot gave baby Callan for Kelly to hold, and she loved every second. Meeting Uyi for the first time was exciting and baby Jerimyah. Of course, Dan Hernandez was able to share stories from our time living on the same floor at the dorm in Hilltop. Mike Burton, CJ Hessel and their families were the best, everyone was kind, welcoming, happy to see us. Kelly had a blast with CJ's daughters, showing them pictures of our dogs, drawing signs together. Halftime, we went to see Terry and Kelly was greeted by Jerimyah again in a funny story. Loved seeing Chris Bellamy with his family, he has wonderful daughters. Phil Hunt was a favorite of Kelly's, they got to talk and she was appreciative he took time to check on us, making sure we didn't need anything. She could not say more good things about Phil. Chris Stasaitis was also at the top of the list. Being able to see him at the game, he drove after a long day of work. We were wiped after and went back to our hotel. Thankfully Kelly saw Chris Sunday and I was able to show her UConn's campus, the places I lived. Kelly is caring, selfless, she came with me to make sure I wasn't nervous. I wanted her there to meet the guys and have the experience of a lifetime. She loved meeting my friends finally, especially seeing the children, I can't thank Mike Burton, Tiffany Dexter Burton, for having us as their guests and a memory we will share forever. UConn Football is becoming bowl eligible. Bleeding Blue For Good, Mike and his team have been raising money for our NIL collective. We have to step up and donate. We need more of us to be involved. Donate $200 or $500 dollars, as long as the number of people donating grows, we will have continued success. I saw substantial improvement from a year ago and the outstanding talent we brought in. Mike laid the foundation for us to back where we belong as a great program. Please go to www.bleedingblueforgood.org and give. Pete Finch is our newest sponsor, and we are thrilled to have him on board. The Finch Firm LLC has quickly made an impact all across the state fighting for clients’ rights and interests. President Sean Rabinowitz has been a great friend and consultant. Husky Huddle along with Husky Talk has grown to become the best coverage for UConn Football. Former UConn Football star Tory Taylor joins Husky Talk. A dynamic athlete who played running back, wide receiver, and returned kicks. An explosive talent who is still in the UConn record book in several categories. Tory set the freshmen rushing record with the most yards. After moving to receiver, he slipped out of more tackles than anyone and had breakaway speed. An intricate part of the 1998 team that was the best in UConn history. Was a pleasure to have on! We are winning because of the hard work of Mike Burton and his team raising money for Bleeding Blue For Good, our NIL collective, along with Storrs Central. We have to step up and donate because every dollar counts, plus you can see the difference in our talent level. Husky Talk- Danny Lansanah
Procyon Partners is our biggest, longest tenured supporter of Husky Talk. They specialize in wealth management, employee benefits, and retirement planning. President Sean Rabinowitz has been a great friend and consultant. Husky Huddle along with Husky Talk has grown to become the best coverage for UConn Football. On Husky Talk we have former UConn Football All Big East Linebacker Danny Lansanah who had a 9-year NFL career. An outstanding player who has been an underdog his entire life. After not being recruited for football, Coach Randy Edsall came to watch him play basketball where he dominated. UConn offered him a scholarship and he accepted. Danny and his class were difference makers, playing on one of the top defenses in the country and UConn history. He started at Middle Linebacker, playing sideline to sideline and hit like a train. A two time All Big East selection, Danny prepared for the NFL. From an undrafted free agent to the Green Bay Packers, to not playing for 2 years, getting picked up by the UFL, resurrecting his NFL career with the Jets and Buccaneers. An underdog his entire life, he proved himself each day and had a 9 year NFL career. Now married with a child of his own, Danny coaches high school football and got into real estate. He owns rental properties and flips houses; his wife is a licensed relator. Husky Talk- Wilbur Gilliard
Procyon Partners is our biggest, longest tenured supporter of Husky Talk. President Sean Rabinowitz has been an amazing friend, consultant, and we have grown to become the best for UConn Football coverage, along with Husky Huddle. Our guest on Husky Talk is one of the best Running Backs in UConn Football's History. Hartford's own Wilbur Gilliard. He was a tough, physical runner, who learned to make people miss from competing against his cousins, kill the carrier. Recruited by several schools, Wilbur stayed in state and committed to UConn under coach Tom Jackson. Redshirting as a freshman, he played in one of the most talented backfields in UConn history with Eddie Long. Even splitting time, Wilbur is still in the record books for yards per carry, single season rushing yards, and touchdowns scored. He was the all-time leading rusher at UConn for many years. After graduation, Wilbur sold cars and cell phones before moving to New York City where he started his own marketing company. A success on many levels, he was honored last week before the Buffalo game for being a team captain. Such a hilarious show, Wilbur is a funny guy, and I definitely look forward to meeting him. Husky Talk- Ryan Timko
Procyon Partners is one of the top 50 fastest growing companies in the country. They are a full service Financial firm, President Sean Rabinowitz provides exceptional outcomes for his clients and is a proud sponsor of Husky Talk. Husky Talk finally had one of my favorite guests on, UConn Football Defensive Linemen Ryan Timko. Big Slim as he was called, became a force up front. His story is remarkable because he played Volleyball and baseball primarily before being talked into playing football at Deland high in Florida. He played on a team with several division 1 players and was recruited by coaches coming to watch them, and being impressed with what Ryan was doing on the field. After, he committed to UConn, he had a great career and was a starter. He was part of the foundation that led us into transitioning to a Division 1 program. After, he followed in his father's footsteps and attended optometry school in Boston. Married now with kids, he started his own practice after selling the business he joined on with his dad. Nobody can make you laugh and entertain like Big Slim, Ryan Timko! Michael Burton runs Bleeding Blue for Good and Storrs Central to raise NIL money for UConn. To sustain continued success in all sports and especially football, we need to come together as alumni to donate which allows us to recruit top talent. Please go to Bleedingblueforgood.org and give whatever you can because every dollar counts.
