In the Composer's Mind

This is a place for me to share everything music. Whether it is deep dives into the inspiration behind a track, or just random rants, I invite you to come along for the ride!

  1. 9

The Sailboat - Behind the Music.wav

"The Sailboat" happened because I was sorting my closet. Kind of an interesting story!

  2. 8

ADLA Themes - Behind the Music.wav

This episode covers the making of the themes from my new album "A Day in the Life of an Astronaut." I thought it would be neat to release an EP of the themes so listeners can hear what was used to create the album. Listen wherever you stream music!

  3. 7

Paranoia (Reimagined) - Behind the Music.wav

This EP contains two tracks: the original version of Paranoia that was on my "ascension." EP and the new "reimagined" version of the track.Listen wherever you stream music!

  4. 6

    Home - Behind the Music.wav

I grew up all the way on the Eastern side of the US in a little state with a long name, Connecticut. Just after COVID, my family and I moved back to Texas, the state I was born in. Although Texas is a great place to live (for the most part), I miss where I grew up. This track captures that feeling. Wherever you call "Home," let this track be the anthem to that memory. (OK, I know that was cringy... sounds like something ai would write tbh).

  5. 5

Echoes of a Dark Star - Behind the Music.wav

This two track EP is one of my favorite releases to date. I call this genre "dark atmospheric." It sounds exactly like that. Make sure to listen to the EP after this episode!

  6. 4

    Wander - Behind the Music.wav

Wander was born after I chatted with a film director. He ended up really liking it 👀Listen wherever you stream music.

  7. 3

    ascension. - Behind the Music.wav

This episode covers my first ever orchestral music release. The first track was inspired by the introduction to the Apple TV show called "Defending Jacob."Listen wherever you stream music.

  8. 2

    You > Time. - Behind the Music.wav

In this episode I talk about my first ever release and the reason I started writing it. Some cool music is covered! I hope you enjoy the episode.Listen to the full EP wherever you stream music.

  9. 1

The Valley - Behind the Music.wav

In this episode I go into detail about the inspiration, production, and recording steps taken to create this 3-track EP. Featuring Joshua Hankins on the last track. Listen wherever you stream music.
