  1. 24

    Rave of the Bells

All pixies harmed during the making of this track were promptly fed to my dog. Made with Studio One, Maschine, Komplete and Redux.

  2. 23

    The Grind

I did this mostly to get comfortable using the Kyma timeline, where it was arranged in its entirety. Mixed in Studio One.

  3. 22

Audio Obscura - Western Wind (industrialBuddha Remix)

This is a remix of the yet to be released "Western Wind" by @audio-obscura-music. While I did use one softsynth in this (The Mouth, Reaktor), it was triggered by the original sample. All the rest of the sounds are the result of fx processing in Reaktor, Guitar RIg, and Kyma. I did also play with time, and there was a bit of audio chopping involved. Made with Bitwig and Studio One.

  4. 21

    Maaker - L4 (industrialBuddha Remix)

The original: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_auOKUWt2Yo My part made with Bitwig and Studio One. A Moog theremin was involved, though it could be confused with some of the Linnstrument shenanigans.

  5. 20

    Siren Serenity

A cynical interpretation of the sweet seduction employed by denial. Made with Maschine and Studio One, using plugins by UAD, NI and Arturia.

  6. 19

Khromozomes - Comfortable feat. Kristin Mainhart (industrialBuddha Remix)

Listen to the original at https://soundcloud.com/khromz/comfortable This is my first remix where I worked only with an acapella. I tried to give it an un-comfortable vibe. Made with Bitwig and Studio One using Komplete, Arturia, and UAD plugins. I also used the Linnstrument.

  7. 18

I Am the Hole In the Donut

Made with Maschine, Komplete, and Studio One.

  8. 17

Holding the Tree (Distinctive Electronica Group Contest Winner)

Featuring audio from Sifu James demonstrating Qigong. Introducing the Chamber of Sounds "Droneulator" synth. This is also my first completed composition using Bitwig Studio. Also made with the Linnstrument, Komplete, Redux, and Studio One.

  9. 16

    These Eyes

The vocal was very free to me, so I wanted the music to be free as well. Perhaps I went to far with that. I basically reversed my workflow for this. I started by laying down the vocal in its own natural rhythm as it came from my voice. Then I recorded the percussion over that by finger drumming on the DSI Tempest. The synths were then added from the best of a lot of takes with the Linnstrument controlling the Moog Slim Phatty and the YamahaVL70-m. Made in Studio One.

  10. 15

    The Dreams of Cheese

I made the core of this one about 5 or 6 years ago when I was learning Studio One, and then forgot about it. For some reason when I re-discovered it last year I decided to finish it. Made with Komplete and Studio One.

  11. 14

    Chaos Theory Frequencies

Yes, I realize that I have gotten stuck in a rut. Reset attempts are under way... Made with the Linnstrument, Komplete, Maschine, and Studio One.

  12. 13

    Burn the Heretic

This is a study in tritones. Made with the Linnstument, Maschine, Komplete, and Studio One.

  13. 12

Having To Wipe My Ass After I Fart

I changed this from the working title "Building Better Audio Autonomons" at the last minute because I did not want to set the expectation that is is a serious production. It is structured first with a section of multiple fornications, followed by the monstrous birth at the end. Both these sections were the result of blindly playing around while learning new software. While I did attempt to make something of the first section, I was unable to make it go anywhere that made sense. The hurried addition of the last snippet seemed a fitting conclusion, and I have left it at that. Made with Maschine, Komplete, and Studio One.

  14. 11

    The Past Ahead

Time is circles within circles within... all in one very huge circle. Made with the Linnstrument, Redux, Komplete, and Studio One.

  15. 10

One Fingernail at a Time (Distinctive Electronica Group Contest Winner)

Introducing the Abstrakt Instruments Avalon synth (based on the tb-303). I also found much joy in this using the Linnstrument with the Komplete Kontrol arpeggiator. Also made with the DSI Tempest, Komplete, and Studio One.

  16. 9

Lost Beat In B (Distinctive Electronica Group Contest Winner)

I could never tell which way this was going, so I just kept it headed in that direction. The original working title for this was "bad dub impersonation", but that made even less sense after I added the arp synth. Made with Maschine, Komplete, and Studio One.

  17. 8

    Ravine

A summoning in a dark crack in the earth where all matter of spirits are free to be themselves. Made with the DSI Tempest, Linnstrument, Komplete and Studio One.

  18. 7

The Mind Is A Black Hole (Distinctive Electronica Group Contest Winner)

Made with the Linnstrument, Redux, Komplete, And Studio One.

  19. 6

    Trudging

This experiment was about expressing the rhythm of my life, which has absolutely no relevance to a dance floor. Made with the Linnstrument, Maschine, Komplete, and Studio One.

  20. 5

    Temple of Abandon

Its all cool and everything... until it sucks you in. Made with the Linnstrument, Maschine, Komplete, and Studio One.

  21. 4

    Do You Hear Voices?

With all the hubbub about the Pluto flyby occurring while I was putting the finishing touches on this track, I thought I should point out that this is not a deep space field recording, but a product of the dark recesses of my mind. There is much more bang for the buck exploring in this direction. The original working title for this track was "Interface for an Alien Perspective". I changed the title because of the interesting effect it had on me while mixing. Made with a DSI Tempest analog drum machine, the Linnstrument controlling a number of NI Reaktor synths, a Moog Etherewave Plus Theremin, and Studio One.

  22. 3

    Wah Trampoline

A bit of fun with the Linnstrument and Tempest Drum Machine. The Linnstument was played in split mode controlling a Moog Slim Phatty and the Yamaha VL70-m Virtual Acoustic Tone Generator. Recorded, mixed and mastered in Studio One with assistance from Komplete.

  23. 2

    Horn vs Bass Zombie

Sorry bout the length, I was trying to tire out two of my dominant personalities. Played with the linnstrument in split mode controlling a Moog Slim Phatty and a Yamaha VL70-m Virtual Acoustic Tone Generator. Recorded, mixed, and mastered in Studio One.

  24. 1

    To Push Through Darkness

It is much easier with a beat, especially of the beat is sidechained to a compressor on the darkness. Made with a Linnstrument, a Moog Slim Phatty, a Yamaha VL70-m with the Patchman Turbo Upgrade, a DSI Tempest and Studio One.
