This week on...VAR (Video Assistant Ridiculousness)

What more could we ask for in Matchweek 2 than VAR controversy? Newcastle had it out for Neto. Andrew shares what he thought of this week's kits. And we talked way too much at the beginning, sorry to the last few games, we promise we love you just as much!

  8. 45

A Vardy Party and Medical Exams

Jamie Vardy is back and up to his old Red Bull fuelled antics!! The Premier League offered some great goals, great games, and some unfortunate situations. We wish Danilo all the best and hope Mosquera found what he was looking for ;)

  9. 44

    New Season, Same Old Chelsea

We are back! Just in time for the start of the '24-'25 season. Welcome to our returning listeners and for anyone just joining us, we're glad to have you! First episode means we make our top four predictions and relegation picks (sorry Forest, it's your time). We also spend time roasting Chelsea and hit on some hot news items.

  10. 43

Another Season Gone, But Not Forgotten

That's a wrap on the 23/24 season and while we agree it wasn't boring, it was predictable. Congrats to the newcomers this upcoming season and so long to our relegated clubs. Congrats to United for winning the FA Cup (somehow) and City for topping the Premier League, even if you're doing so illegally. Can't wait to be with you next PL season!

  11. 42

And the Premier League Title Goes To....

Haaland is back on top of the goal-scoring list. It's City's title to lose at this point. We have battles going on at the top and bottom of the table. What an end to the season we have coming up, no one could have prepared us for all this madness!

  12. 41

Title Race, Title Race, TITLE RACE!

These last 11 games are so crucial for Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City. If any team loses it's going to seriously cause a stir in the race for 1st place. We are still waiting to hear what kind of deductions are going to be made for Forest and Everton (potentially) due to FFP. City has again, gone quiet in that regard. And the hunt for European competition is well and truly underway.

  13. 40

    The Title Race Is ON!

The title race is well and truly on! Only 1-2 points separates our top three teams with 12 matches left. Could Aston Villa upset anyone in the top three? We've seen some big upsets this season, so anything is possible. Oh, and Klopp wins the "Most special trophy in 20 years." Which he called a pointless, tin-cup last year. Funny how things change when you don't get knocked out early.

  14. 39

Turns Out Arsenal CAN Score Goals!

The Norwegian cyborg is back and picked up right where he left off. Well, Arsenal can score goals when they need to. The title race just keeps getting hotter and hotter. And if we've learned one thing from this weekend, don't celebrate your wins too early. Looking at you Aston Villa...

  15. 38

This Just In... Liverpool Without a Manger Come June!

In shocking news, someone is leaving the Premier League at the end of the season! Fun facts and tangents galore! We have some world-class games from last weekend to talk about. And Toney is back and scoring, as Mateo predicted.

  16. 37

    Someone's Out to Get Everton!

What an episode we have in store! Pundits are hilarious when they react to games, just like Andrew and Mateo... KDB is back and it's like he never left the City lineup. Sterling loves a good dive, especially in the box. United have no identity, but at least got some goals on Sunday. And who needed to control their hands? At this point, we aren't sure.

  17. 36

Will Our Mid-Season Predictions Come True?

On today's episode, we make end-of-season predictions based on the mid-season table. Give a little bit of information about players leaving for the AFCON and ASIA Cups. And a couple of teams are getting some firepower back in their lineups, listen and you may find out who!

  18. 35

    Everton vs. The EPL

We are back! We hope everyone enjoyed the international break and the start of their Holiday Season. What a wild couple of weekends we've had in the Premier League! Upsets aplenty, teams back to their winning ways, and Haaland stubbed his big toe...Allegedly. Enjoy!

  19. 34

Without VAR Controversy, Do Games Even Happen?

We have another matchweek full of VAR controversy. Are teams slipping or just having a bad game? And records aplenty - players and teams are providing Premier League firsts, some good and some bad. Listen along for all the fun news!

  20. 33

The One Where City Gets Away With It

Being a Manchester United fan is hard for Andrew right now, but he doesn't hurt anymore because it's expected, like the Tottenham of old (but really recent). City get away with basically anything they like these days. The Chelsea boys still need time to get it together and the relegated 3 is looking more and more cemented every week.

  21. 32

Tottenham Are Enjoying Life At The Top!

We have a couple of new things we are going to give to you weekly; some betting "advice" (please gamble responsibly, we are not liable for any losses you may take. However, if you do win, we require 10%) and Upset of the Week! Haaland is back to scoring form. 9 matches in and I don't think I would have called the top half of the table as it sits. CIty might have real competition for the title this year.

  22. 31

    Will Mateo Win the Lottery?

As usual, we talk for far too long about many things. Winning the lottery, being the official podcast for the Fifa World Cup, and the Premier League. Our weekend recap is chock-full of laughs, awkward pauses, and games we thought were kind of boring. But hey, City lost again and all our teams won, so we're all happy on this Podcast!

  23. 30

    VAR: Helpful or Hurtful?

City falls to the Wolf Pack. VAR has an unprecedented blunder in the Tottenham v Liverpool match. Brighton gets scored on, A LOT by Aston Villa. Luton Town got their first (hopefully not last) win in Premier League history at the cost of Mateo's Everton. This and more on this week's episode before an exciting weekend of matches!

  24. 29

    Trust In The Process

Welcome back from the international break! Somehow, Liverpool has flown under the radar up to second place in the Premier League. Chelsea needs to trust in the process with Poch and not sack him too early. United can still make up ground. Plus, we think the relegation battle is pretty much set in stone.

  25. 28

    Taking An International Break

This week we give you the low-down on the top and bottom of the table. Talk about some surprises that we didn't see coming at the start of the season. Get into an argument about VAR and Manchester United (don't worry, we're alright). And last but not least, we still don't think Havertz is worth the money.

  26. 27

    Comebacks Aren't For Everyone...Arsenal

The Pod expresses its support for Jenni Hermoso and the Spanish Women's National Team. Mateo really, really doesn't like Everton this season. Arsenal do what they do best, bottling a lead. And, is Erling Haaland human after all? Come on this journey to find out!

  27. 26

    Mitoma's World

We talked for far too long at the beginning. We went on some tangents, but we hope you'll come along. We are IN LOVE with Brighton and Mitoma. Maybe next week we'll be more prepared, who knows! But we hope you like this week's episode.

  28. 25

    Does Mateo Even Love Everton?

Today, on Inside the Grounds. Mateo goes on a rant about Everton, Manchester United were the luckiest team in Matchweek 1, and everyone better keep their eyes on Newcastle this season!

  29. 24

New Season, New Teams, Same Old Hosts

The 23/24 season is upon us and we have the makings for an action-packed season. Will City and the Cyborg reign over all once again or will a new contender emerge to dismantle the Sky Blues? It's time friends! Buy your scarves and pick up your jerseys, because we've finally answered your questions and officially present your teams who can't wait for your support!

  30. 23

    Memory of a Goldfish

As our friend Ted Lasso says, a goldfish is the happiest animal on earth. Why? Because it has a 10 second memory. And we're sure some teams wish they had a 10 second memory so they could forget this season! We discuss the end of the season, final standings, say goodbye to some teams, and welcome some newly promoted friends!

  31. 22

    An Ode to Southampton FC

Manchester City have all but got the Premier League title in their trophy cabinet - what remains to be seen is who makes the remaining European competition spots outside of them and Arsenal? Listen and found out who we think may make it! How will Everton and United finish this season? Come listen as we give you the pulse on our clubs. And finally we would like to remember Southampton as they are the first official team relegated from the EPL this season.

  32. 21

Bring Out Yer Bottles! Bring Out Yer Bottles! (and send them to Arsenal)

Oh Groundskeepers, have Arsenal bottled the title this season? City looks poised to swoop down and snatch it right out of Arsenal's grasp. We also bring you the weekly table update and talk about Liverpool FINALLY putting Alexander-Arnold in the right position on the field.

  33. 20

Zlatan was born, then He made Football.

City and Arsenal go head to head, take a guess who wins? Tottenham come back for an epic loss in extra time. Brighton are the team to watch and are incredibly fun if you want a team to support.

  34. 19

Southampton, Arsenal, and Blue Turtle Shells

Southampton throws a blue turtle shell at the leaders, Tottenham and Chelsea are in disarray, and Mateo brings out his mind cage. Plus, Andrew has new jerseys on the wall, which you can see on our YouTube video. Happy listening!

  35. 18

    Don't Wake a Sleeping Crowd!

Valuable Football Lessons From Granit Xhaka, A Series: When you're up 2 goals in an away match, don't do anything to get the home crowd riled up. We also touch on interactions between referees and players, plus your top and bottom update on the table.

  36. 17

    Coaching Carousel

Like the Last of Us, the English Premier League has its own carousel. But instead of zombie monsters in an abandoned mall, the Premier League has coaches looking for new jobs.

  37. 16

    International Break - Conte's Chaos

Join us as we discuss Chelsea, the chaos that was Conte's press conference, and other English Premier League news!!

  38. 15

Who Can Disrupt the Title Race?

Is Sean Dyche the man to keep Everton in the Premier League? Is the Top Four set in stone? Can Chelsea utilize Felix (pronounced Fellix) to help them reach the Champions League next season?  Was this episode shorter than usual? Yes! For your listening pleasure. Or was it something more nefarious at work, who's to know?

  39. 14

    Don't Stop Believin'

Consistency. That's what every good podcast needs and what the bottom-of-the-table teams need to stay in the Premier League this season. Now one of those things is on track, but are the teams in the relegation fight? We talk about that and so much more! Plus, Toast makes her official co-host debut.

  40. 13

Is Manchester United Back? Is Our Podcast Back?

We have three questions for you Groundskeepers. 1. Does the media hate Liverpool? 2. Did Chelsea lose pieces to the puzzle? 3. Should Mateo support Fulham if Everton get relegated? All of this and more on today's pod! Also, Andrew would like to thank our special guests, the maintenance crew who you can hear in the background. Give it up for them.

  41. 12
