    Mike Elam

This Friday, December 5, 2025, at 7:00pm CST, I will be joined by Mike Elam for episode #76. August 29, 2025, The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation along with the Tennessee Attorney General held a press conference concluding that if Sheriff Bufford Pusser was still alive, that they would seek an indictment for Murder, in the death of Sheriff Pusser's wife Pauline Pusser in 1967. People are familiar with Sheriff Pusser from the movies "Walking Tall" which was a tale of the Sheriff of McNairy County, Tennessee. This moved millions, and created a legend in the state of Tennessee. After examining the released reports, Mike is going to discuss the key elements to the TBI's investigation. Mike is no stranger to the case, is in large part the reason why the murder of Pauline Pusser was re-examined, after over 20 years of researching the case, interviewing witnesses, and actually turning over the Carbine Rifle that ultimately led to Pauline Pusser being exhumed for her first autopsy. Mike's resolve is amazing, despite the years of threats, insults, and personal sacrifice not only for him but for his family to find justice for Pauline. As Mike says "The Truth has no Agenda", and essentially his persistence for justice is why we are talking about this case today...Mike has become a friend of mine, whom I have tremendous respect for his passion and determination with respect to seeking the truth... Someone I consider as one of the heroes in this story.

Mike Elam, Dennis Hathcock, and Danny Cupples

This Friday, September 5, 2025, Episode #65 will feature Mike Elam, Dennis Hathcock, and Danny Cupples. Following a huge announcement last week from the Tennessee Attorney General and Tennessee Bureau of Investigation at a press conference that following a reexamining of evidence from the 1967 murder of Pauline Pusser. Pauline and her husband, Sheriff Buford Pusser, who inspired the 1973 movie "Walking Tall", were allegedly ambushed in the early am hours of August 12, 1967.The announcement was if Sheriff Pusser was still alive, there would be probable cause to believe Sheriff Pusser murdered his wife Pauline. Definitely a bombshell announcement, considering that Sheriff Pusser was considered an Iconic Figure in Tennessee law enforcement history....Mike Elam is no doubt the reason this case was re-opened, and he shined a light on this case, that made it possible to get to where we are today....Dennis Hatchcock, is not only a witness who actually showed up near the murder scene later that morning, but also tbe nephew of Louise Hathcock who was shot and killed by Sheriff Buford Pusser on February 1, 1966. In the movie Walking Tall, it shows her sitting at the bar with a sawed off shotgun in her lap at the Lucky Seven, which was not really what happened. Dennis's father ran the Plantation Club that in the movie, Pusser was cut up in and dumped on a rural road to die...Danny who is also a relative of the Hathcock's and certainly a frequent co-host and guest to this podcast will also be joining us to help unpack the recent decision from the TBI... Retired Tucson Detective William Bill Hanson

When someone extends a gesture of kindness, it is the reciprocal act of appreciation which solidifies a bond between individuals. "Thank you" expressed in a heartfelt way is enough to seal the deal as two people lock eyes and embrace. It is very powerful. The frequency is balanced, energy exchanged in a precious moment. If the gratitude is expressed at a distance, it can be equally impactful. A story can overwhelm the mind and open the heart to a cosmic connection. It happened with Dottie. The perfect analogy for a lesson awaits. She lives in the heart of Michigan for a reason. Her goodness requires a big place to hold such a truly kind, divine spirit.

    ATF Special Agent Dominick Polifrone

Into the Fire episode #47 will be on next Friday, April 25, 2025 and will and my guest on the show will be Dominick Polifrone. ATF Special Agent Dominick Polifrone went undercover for eighteen months to apprehend Kuklinski Starting in 1985, Kane and Polifrone worked with Phil Solimene, a close.long-time friend of Kuklinski, to get Polifrone close to Kuklinski. Posing as a Mafia-connected criminal named Dominic Provenzano, Polifrone purchased a handgun-muffler combination from Kuklinski. In recordings, Kuklinski discussed a corpse he kept in a freezer for two and a half years. He told Polifrone he preferred poison, saying, "Why be messy? You do it nice and call. He asked Polifrone if he could supply him with pure cyanide. Polifrone told Kuklinski he wanted to hire him to murder a wealthy Jewish cocaine dealer, and recorded Kuklinski speaking in detail about how he would do it. Kuklinski was also recorded boasting he killed a man by putting cyanide on his hamburger, and of his plans to kill "a couple of rats" On December 17, 1986, Kuklinski met Polifrone to get cyanide for a planned murder, which was to be an attempt on an undercover police officer. After the recorded conversation with Polifrone, Kuklinski went for a walk. He tested Polifrone's purported cyanide on a stray dog, using a hamburger as bait, and saw it was not poison. Suspicious, Kuklinski decided not to go through with the planned murder and went home instead. He was arrested at a roadblock two hours later. Kuklinski's wife was charged for interfering with her husband's arrest. Officers discovered a firearm in the vehicle, and she was charged with possession of a firearm because she was a passenger......... More to come.....
