Madyson explains how Taylor Swift using historical queer flags, like hairpin drop, in her music has taught mainstream audiences about flagging; One example being how lesbian Youtuber Shannon Beveridge posted a promo for Friend of Dorothy merch explaining what a queer flag is and why we use them, using Dorothea by Taylor Swift as the song playing on the radio.
