It Doesn't Add Up

In our first Halloween Special we confront our fears by looking at the Clown Sightings of 2016. We cut through the media (and meme) frenzy and figure out where all these evil “entertainers” came from. Who is the evil clown patient zero? Why are we so afraid of clowns? How many clowns are sex offenders? How can you tell a good clown from an evil clown? In a jam-packed IDAU we’ll answer those questions and more. Kept you waiting, huh? It Doesn’t Add Up is back after far too long and this time we dive into the conspiracy theory that seems to have a second life. Originally unearthed in 2012, resurrected in 2017, we take a look at the evidence that insists pop star Avril Lavigne died in 2003 and was replaced by a lookalike. Down the rabbit hole we talk about the Faul conspiracy, Katy Perry, doppelgangers and delusions, and we introduce a couple new segments to the show.

This time around we’re taking a look at time travel claims, hoaxes, and conspiracies. Who is CERN, and just what are they up to? Did a group of children lose their legs and meet George Washington? Other topics include: urban legends, advertising, video games, unicorns, and a bunch of other tangents. Also, Tori learns what the Kremlin is. It’s finally here. The very first episode of It Doesn’t Add Up, a conspiracy theory podcast. Originally recorded in late July of 2016, and meant to be heard not long afterwards, this first episode features analysis of an odd belief a small group on the Internet holds. They contend that the moon doesn’t exist. For real. I’m glad to finally be able to share this madness with someone other than my co-host (and sister) Victoria. The episode would have been posted sooner, but life gets in the way sometimes. I hope you enjoy what is hopefully the first of many trips into the psyche of people who have way too much time on their hands.
