    Dammit, I Said No

Join Neil and Phyllis, a real-life couple who's been in the trenches of marriage for over 20 years. Get ready for a hilarious and honest look at what it REALLY means to say no in a marriage. This week, on Just Try'n To Stay Married Today, Neillis talk about the power (and potential bullshit) of saying "no" in your relationship. You'll hear why they believe the person who says "no" always wins. If they don’t then you may have a problem in your relationship. Saying “no" is not something your partner should lose their shit over. Unless you’re a controlling, manipulative fill in the blank. Face it, marriage isn't always rainbows and sunshine. But getting mad at the little things just makes for a messy marriage. #marriage #relationships #comedy #marriagecomedy #longtermlove #podcast

Who's Better At "Staying In Your Lane?"

What is it about staying in your lane that you don’t understand? Neil and Phyllis are trying to figure that out. Phyllis doesn’t know what her lane is and Neil says, “I’m just gone shut up.” Staying in your lane while married is not easy and none of that happy wife, happy life shit either. The best way to stay in your lane, as a married couple, is to trust that your spouse knows best, FOR THEM. If you’re gonna get bossy about it, you’re asking for trouble in your relationship. And Neil says, “I’m just gone shut up,” cause he's just try’n to stay married today.

Just Try'n To Stay Married Today

Twenty years, bottles of whiskey, and a shared bank account. Neil and Phyllis are living proof that marriage is less rom-com and more buddy-cop sitcom. Tune in for their wildly unfiltered take on surviving in the trenches of married life, with bonus lessons on co-running a business without accidentally setting the shop on fire (metaphorically speaking, hopefully). In this episode, prepare for: Commitment is a Four-Letter Word (But Worth It): Brace yourself for brutally honest truths about sacrificing Netflix binges and solo vacations for the long game of "happily ever after." Past Mistakes, Present Laughs: Get into the Strawders' pre-nuptial misadventures (think bad perm food and questionable partners) and how they turned those stumbles into marital superpowers. Keeping It Real (Sometimes Too Real): From Phyllis' lawnmower-esque snoring to Neil's shopaholic tendencies, the Strawder's prove that being truthful is sexy, even when it's slightly terrifying. So, grab your partner, a bottle of something, and get ready for the Strawders' hilarious, heartwarming, and slightly chaotic guide to making marriage work. It's the therapy you didn't know you needed, served with a side of laughter and questionable life advice. Disclaimer: Don't take marital advice from them because it takes a special kinda crazy to laugh this hard after 20+ years.
