Knight Talk

On this episode, we were honored to be joined by Coach Chris Librizzi of the BVS hockey team and players Joe Palmer, Class of 2027, and Matthew Palmer, Class of 2028. The team talks about what this season meant, how they overcame tragedy, and so much more. This is a longer episode, so sit down, relax, and enjoy. We promise that you won't regret listening.

In this episode, we are joined by Class of 2028 student Charlie Boline and Class of 2029 student Arden White. Charlie is a member of the band program, while Arden is part of the choir. By the time this podcast is up, the arts night will have already happened, but we wanted to get a chance to speak with them before it took place.

In this episode, we had only one host! Maddux was on the other side of the mic, joined by class of 2029 students Ernesto Rocha! The boys talked about the baseball team's recent trip to Florida as well as how they plan on carrying the momentum and bond that they built down there into the regular season.

In this episode of Knight Talk we interview PCD Movie Director Thomas Watson. We ask Thomas about his inspiration, student collaboration, and how the entire idea of making a movie started. Thomas gives us insight on what its like to direct a movie in school, while trying to balance that with his schoolwork, and getting everyone in the right place at the right time to film. He also finishes with speaking about a new film festival!!

In this episode, we interview Leo Woodman. Leo had tremendous success this past season by breaking the school 5k record, finishing tenth at the state meet, and qualifying for the New England Regionals. We find out what it takes to get to the level Leo is at, his outlook for next season, and what his favorite meal after a meet is!

We are finally back after a long time away from the show! Josh and I are excited to be back on the Pod and want to finish out the podcast as we head off for senior projects in a few weeks. While this week does not host a specific guest, Josh and I are using it as a way to get back into the swing of things. Hopefully you enjoy our conversations while random, they might provide some sort of learning experience to you.

WE ARE BACK!! After a long two weeks of illness and senior stuff, Knight Talk is back in action! This week we interviewed PCD board members Kate Farrington and Pat McQuade, both members of the mysterious board of trustees, a panel of Alumni and Parents that help guide the school in the right direction during tough situations. The podcast today hopes to shine light on what the trustees are and what they do.

Welcome back to Knight Talk! Today I interviewed one PCD hockey player, Nolan Lambert, and another Saint Raphael Hockey player, Tim Cedergren. Both are captains of the BVS hockey team, a co-op hockey team where multiple high school teams combine to make one massive hockey team. We went into depth about the success of the program in recent years, and how they plan to rewrite the past in this year's playoff run.

Today we interviewed Mr. Clarkson, a beloved teacher and mentor to many at PCD. He talked about his own PCD experience, one that was a student driven and a work hard, play hard atmosphere. We also explored the recent success of Mr. Clarkson as a coach, and how it takes grit to push through the tough times in life. However, if it is stuck with, it can also reap the best rewards.

Knight Talk is back! This interview we brought on our two school presidents, who built off our conversations on last week's podcast, which stressed the message of much needed school spirit. We also touched on the lasting legacy that the class of '25 wants to leave PCD with going forward. While we may jump around to different topics in this episode, one thing is for certain. That the seniors are returning to field day to participate in the games one last time.

We go into depth about his own mentality to life and how he translates it into his own classroom when teaching. We also discuss what PCD needs to do to start building a more powerful and school spirit driven atmosphere in terms of sports as a small private school.

They talk about their excitement to continue their athletic careers at Sacred Heart University, and how they navigate challenges and sacrifices to be able to get an opportunity to play at the college level. Even when a fire alarm cut our interview short, we were still able to get a lot of insight on how these two student athletes go about their day, and what they are most excited about on starting their college athletic careers.

This week we interviewed two captains of the PCD Basketball team, who gave us some insight on the upcoming season and how they will adjust to a new division this year.
