'Whose Data?' by Richard Layzell (2011)

In 2011, Knowle West residents and 5 artists worked to identify data that would be useful for the community and explored new and innovative ways to visualise it. Along the way, they also considered how data can be made more open and accessible, how it can be used by communities and what rights people have to the data they generate. As part of this project, Richard Layzell recorded what was bought in local shops as if he were a shop till and worked with pupils at Greenfield Primary School to investigate and record biodiversity data.
