    The Musician's Lament

Some days we question the decision to get into this crazy business in the first place, but at the end of the day, we realize that it was really no choice on our part at all (or as has recently become vogue to say, "It is what it is"). (Lyrics) This road they say is a long one to travel Things that will stop us can sometimes overwhelm The road that we seek out, it sometimes will find us It’s not one for those who are easily swayed The path that we travel has great sights and wonders The sky can be blue and the nights dark and long The passion we carry is not for faint hearted For only the strongest will still sing their song Oh sing the words clearly you young lads and lasses The tales that you bring makes a weak heart grow strong! The rhyme and the cadence will add to the telling So feel deep within as you stand ’fore the throng. Give music that’s buried in hearts full of sorrow, Give joy that a sparrow would not mind to hear When the sound that is shared is as pure as the rainfall The words will be strong and the meaning quite clear. The road that we travel has twists and tight corners That can cause us to falter when the way is quite dim. But don't give a care to the ones who will say that You need to be stable for that's how you win. The path that we've taken is not one that's easy The passion that drives us can lead us astray So pull up your bootstraps and strap on the leathers For a long ride is what lies ahead here today. The path of the singer is not one that is simple The words when they jumble will cause us to blush But those who stand listening no not of our error And the song that we give them is just that, a song. Sing the words, strike the drum, makes the strings ring out clear When the song is around us, we've nothing to fear! Clang the bell, blow the horn, shout a hearty refrain, For those who are listening, will lessen their pain This road they say is a long one to travel Things that will stop us sometimes overwhelm The road that we seek out and sometimes it finds us But that is not going to stop us today The path that we travel has great sights and wonders The sky can be blue and the nights dark and long The passion we carry is not for faint hearted For only the strongest will still sing their song © 2013-2018 L.V. Sometimes the vast amount of information pounding our senses can cause dozens of questions to form. Answers? Just to a few...

Who is this about? You know who it is... so, resist, fight the good fight knowing that the victory has been won and your faith has set you free!

    Rings Of Saturn

This composition had to wait three decades until it could be recorded the way it was heard in my 'inner ear' (and not offend that 'inner critic' who hold WAY too much veto power most days). Hope you enjoy this foray into the realm of spiritual contemplation and an easy flowing groove.

    Let Go, Let God

The title says it all. We will try but more often than not, we fail in our attempts to resolve or guide whatever situation before us in OUR own strength. "Let it go" has certainly been (over) done, but we need to take that vital next step and "Let God!"
