Chasing freedom, higher education & Miss U.S. Latina! LOTS to talk about with Allegra Monserrat

Seek and you shall find. If you asked Allegra Monserrat what that phrase means to her, it's more than a cliche. It has been her reality since she was 13 when she immigrated to the United States to escape domestic violence. With just her sister in tow, Allegra experienced what life is like for someone going through the U.S. immigration system. With no parents and no adult family to advocate for her, Allegra quickly learned when life gives you lemons you make lemonade. Her journey has been anything but easy and perseverance has been key in her success. As Miss Texas Latina, she's not just a model, but a role model and in this episode of Lady on the Street Podcast she gets candid about chasing her dreams of becoming a pilot and how taking a chance on something that once seemed farfetched can become something way beyond what she ever imagined! ✨ LIKE, RATE & REVIEW✨ SUBSCRIBE TO MY CHANNEL✨ https://linktr.ee/ladyonthestreetpodcast✨ Follow Allegra's journey @allegra_monserrat

[INSERT ALYSSA]With an energy that is unmatched and a laugh for it all, Alyssa is truly one of my favorite ladies on the planet. She's like the younger sister I never had. Over the years, she's had a hand in some of the largest projects known to the Alamo City, including Fiesta, MuertosFest and the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo. She's not just a creative and a visionary though, she's truly a great person. Someone who finds time for her family and friendships. Someone who helps others remember the importance of a good hobby and how taking care of others starts with taking care of yourself. She's now taking a piece of her own advice while navigating being a new mom.... learning how the best things in life are both challenging and rewarding. And while she's just a few months in, she's already mastering it. So grab some popcorn, maybe a drink and enjoy part one of LOTS Pod with one of my nearest and dearest friends, Alyssa Medrano!
