    Lancaster's Propaganda

Host Danny Martin explains the very unbalanced political coverage by Lancaster's local newspaper, LNP, particularly on local races such as the school board election in Manheim Township.  He also touches on its over-reliance on the Associated Press, its flawed reporting during the Covid pandemic, and elsewhere.  A short list of some of the propaganda techniques called out:RepetitionPejorative labelingInvocation of authorityBandwagon fallaciesManipulation of language (e.g. watering down of letters, and outright changing of words)Subjective headlinesSelective use of quotesOutright misinformation (in some cases, only to be corrected later in the online version that far fewer will read compared to the original printed version)

Josh Gerber, Part 2, Of Swamps and Churches

In part 2 of this interview, Gerber further elaborates on the bad behavior of big government, and professes his support for presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy, who he hopes might actually be able to "drain the swamp".  Martin also asks him about the decline of the nuclear family, citing counterproductive policies implemented by the LBJ administration, and Gerber gives his take on the diminished role of churches, as well as what the future holds.

Josh Gerber, Part 1, Big Towns and Big Government

Host Danny Martin introduces his show, and first guest Josh Gerber, former candidate for State Representative in the 98th district of Pennsylvania.  They compare notes on what it's like to be a transplant to Lancaster from having grown up somewhere else.  Josh hails from small town Missouri, while Danny has lived all over in mostly metropolitan areas, and their perceptions of Lancaster differ greatly.  The conversation moves into politics, and Josh voices his criticism of the Republican Party and explains why he ran as a Libertarian.  They also discuss the electrification of rural America during the first half of the 20th century, which Martin defines as an example of successful "big government", which Gerber defines differently and points more towards the 3-letter agencies, and permanent, unelected government.
