Bill and Brad are back for the second week in a row (a real heater) to talk local sports.  Guest Bailey Russell - current Ottawa Gee-Gee, soon to be Fredericton Freeze and UNB Red - joins to talk Uganda, MWBA, roommates and the decision to come home to play for the Reds.  Find out what homecoming meal Bailey most looks forward to, what's on her playlist and if she has an pre-game routines or superstitions. 

Co-host Brad Janes joins Bill Gibson in the downtown Marysville studio to catch up on the local sports scene.  The pair recap the winter sports season that saw Fredericton area teams capture 8 championships, the upcoming MWBA season as well as mozza sticks, Toto and the Wizard of Oz.

BNB U-17 coach Bram Russell joins Bill Gibson and Brad Janes in the downtown Marysville studio.  The group discuss this summer's nationals in Newfoundland, the recently completed USports nationals in BC and at what age athletes should specialize.  The trio also recaps the local sporting scene which is quiet on the game front but still has lots happening.  Brad gives a review of a recent Heart concert in Quebec leading the group into a musical side bar.  In the get to know the guest segment, hear the story behind Brams most influential coach and if given the coach of any one coach in NB who he would pick to coach with him.

Bill and Brad take the podcast mobile for a visit with ACAA Coach of the Year and STU Tommies Men's Soccer Head Coach JR Morrison.  After winning ACAAs last weekend STU is hosting CCAA Nationals on the Grant-Harvey turf November 6th to 9th.  Coach suggests it's time to give Grant-Harvey turf a name from the local soccer community and that we've been Waite-ing too long for such recognition. Coach Morrison talks about Nationals preparation, recruiting efforts, and his time at STU.  Local sports are recapped with and in the Get to Know the Guest segment we learn one thing the team doesn't know about coach and who his favorite cartoon character is.   

Brad Janes once again joins Bill Gibson to discuss the happenings in local sports.   Bill and Brad talk through the intersection of sports and society in relation to a tragedy in the Tannery,  Brad attends a D1 football game in the US.  Bill recaps the Ken Gould and the pair catch up on upcoming events for local teams including the UNB Reds hosting the Men's Atlantic University Sport Soccer Championship this week and the start of the ACAA basketball and volleyball regular seasons.

Outgoing STU Athletics Marketing and Events Coordinator Eric Moffat joins Brad Janes and Bill Gibson in the Marysville studio to discuss his upcoming transition to become the new Executive Director of the NBIAA.  Eric looks back on a quarter century of involvement with post secondary sports starting at UNB and moving to STU over 12 years ago.  We chat on the scope of the NBIAA role, recap local sports, and chat about our favorite play-by-play announcers.  In the short snappers segment we find out who hasn't seen Star Wars and what flavour of ice cream Eric prefers.

Raph Fiset and Brenton Romanchuk, members of the 2024 STU Tommies men's volleyball team join Bill in the downtown Marysville studio to discuss their season including the recent ACAA championship victory and preparation for Nationals.  Hear Raph and Brenton talk about recruiting, attending STU, playing with players from across the country, mental preparation, their teammates and what is it like to play for Coach Henri Mallet.  In short snappers, find out who takes a little heat for their unusual Subway order.

Late Scratches takes the gear mobile for a 2 part episode previewing STU Tommies Women's and Men's basketball teams in advance of the Ken Gould Tournament this week.  In part 1, co-hosts Brad Janes and Bill Gibson are joined by veterans women's team coach Fred Connors and starting guard Kylee Roi.   In part 2, starting at the 34:00 minute mark, men's coach John Hickey and CCAA All-Canadian discuss the men's program and the high expectations for the season.   This was recorded in the STU basketball office with the gear atop a Gatorade cooler - we ask forgiveness if we sound far away from the microphones at times.

Fredericton Freeze and UNB Reds women's basketball stand-out Katie Butts joins co-hosts Brad Janes and Bill Gibson.
