If Not For The Music, Go For The Cat..

Content warning ** there is one reference to suicide in this episode. Hellllooooo, we are just popping in to say we are alive....just and holding on to our sanity...just..We don't focus on any particular theme for this episode, of course we touch upon music and its right to soothe, but yes, there is also Hamster talk, and some ill informed guesswork around exchange rates, because that is the kind of tangent we are liable to go off on. Sorry but also not sorry because let's face it Parisians are never sorry. (also some French reference's too, obvs) We will be back with our next guest at the end of October. We will be back soon with another great guest and full episode but in the meantime here's another Izzy vs AI and this time what was supposed to be a informative discussion about how those loveable but slightly bitey small rodents, Hamsters, may or may not respond the music descends into a fascinating insight into Izzy's favourite pastime and absolute rage fest about the pronunciation of legendary tour de force academy award winning actor Cillian Murphy's name.

A Bowl Full of Rhythm But Hold The Espresso

Welcome to the fourth full episode in which we meet up virtually with Mitch Hall, a Holistic Health and Wellness Educator and Counsellor with a wealth of experience in how music can support, soothe and heal. We talk about his time in Africa as well as France (of course) and gain some wonderful insights as we listen to Mitch talk about his rich life so far. Of course the nonsense is never too far way and to close the episode we chat about the music that got us through March as well treating you to Becky's wonderful impression of Bernie Sanders, Izzy's not so wonderful mimicry of Count Von Count and why Izzy doesn't appreciate her shopping trips being sound tracked by songs about Coffee.Check out more about Mitch and all his work at: https://www.breathepeacefully.com/Want to talk about music that has healed you? Minisode: Bowie Themed Banking and Getting Fruity With Small Tomatoes

Another bonus minisode in which we catch up with Izzy's further adventures in relationship building with an AI Bot. They're getting closer but the progress is delayed somewhat by Bot's sheer refusal to acknowledge the greatness of Alex Turner and its unfortunate descent into innuendo about her dinner ingredients. One Burrito and a Side Order of David Lee Roth Please

Hey gang, we are at the mood boost cafe today and on the menu are burritos and hair metal as Izzy talks to her old pal Tom, a mental health nurse, a fan of music as well as being a musician himself. There is chat about the song that helped him through a dark and challenging time as well as music for all moods. Hey Tom.. you come home happy from work, what you putting on? Turns out the after work happiness may be elusive but some "gentle" persuasion does result in a choice. We also have a catch up with Dr Becky stateside, pick the tracks that shepherded us through February and Izzy issues a crucial redaction involving grain. Minisode: Dr Google will see you now and he will prescribe the same song twice.

Another bonus Izzy Vs Ai and could it really be that there is only one contemporary song in existence that has a timpani drum intro? Dr Google thinks so, but at least he understands the importance of proper nutrition. We are back with another bonus minisode and Izzy goes head to head with Google's AI bot Gemini again who, in ultra sassy mode, insists on talking about the Super Bowl whether she wants to hear it or not. Plus, an unexpected Donkey Kong reference and what's the best Bond theme...spoiler alert, it's not Skyfall. [email protected]: @soulmusicpod

Minisode: A David Bowie Approved Shirt and a Confidence Crisis

Bonus Minisode where Izzy get's real about her current crisis of confidence which is all consuming despite the fact that David Bowie would probably have approved of her excellent shirt.

Alex Turner Ted Talk, a Sparkle Motion moment and how Izzy learned to Run

CONTENT WARNING: Mental Health, Suicide and Self HarmWelcome to the next full podisode....in which, we delve into how some simple (but actually complex) pop that helped saved a life alongside learning that, unbelievably, there are people who have never heard of Sparkle Motion. Of course we also have a crucial Moomin sound update, a glimpse into the fascinating origins of Music Therapy in Turkey and narrowly avoid insulting two great nations. Stay tuned for the close and our doffing of our caps to one of the greatest creators of recent times.www.songsthatsavedus.co.ukheyyou@songsthatsavedus.co.ukInsta: @soulmusicpodFollow Izzy on Threads @ lolalovesthestarsResources:www.mind.org.ukhttps://www.samaritans.org/https://www.myblackdog.co/https://www.helpguide.org/find-helphttps://mhanational.org/If you or someone you know is in immediate danger call your countries emergency response line.

A little sneak peak behind the scenes of the production meeting for the next full episode of the Pod, ETA, well sometime in early February, barring WW3 or a massive Coronal Mass Ejection, and yes Izzy has been watching too many unnerving YouTube videos.... Minisode: The Brian Molko Effect

AI is everywhere and don't get us wrong, one of us really appreciates being able to command good old Alexa to switch one of their many fairy light strings off remotely. Yet still reluctance to engage beyond this remains low. In this tiny minisode, Izzy gets to grips with Google's new live AI feature, in the hope that one day it will be useful enough to, say, write a show whilst she sits back and eats too much cheese. We now have a website with all the links you could ever need (6 if you must know) : https://www.songsthatsavedus.co.uk/
