S02E04 with Roxana Maddahi on organizing your finances, balancing family, business and self-care, why women are better at investing than men and more...
Do you feel comfortable organizing and managing your finances? 44% of women cited said they did not feel confident about their finances, but, according to my guest, Roxana Maddahi, Financial Advisor and founder of Maddahi Wealth, as it turns out, women are better investors than men. Why? Because women tend to be more patient, more willing to hold onto investments longer and more willing to ask for assistance. Roxana encourages us to not be afraid to ask for help. Sometimes I get nervous dealing with my own finances. Thank goodness, I reached out and asked for Roxanna's assistance.90% of women will come to a point in their lives where they have to deal with their finances, like it or not. Whether it be the death of their husband, a divorce, or perhaps they never married, almost all women will have to take responsibility for their finances at some point in their lives. Roxana shares her helpful, experienced and professional advise with us. Listen and share with someone you know will benefit from Roxana's wisdom...and that's all of us. S02E02 with Leslie Maloney on trusting your life, not overthinking, moxiness and more...
Lauren and Leslie talk about the idea of trusting your life and not overthink things too much. She shares that in her initial process of writing her first book, she followed what "pops up and it feels good, then I'll chase it." Leslie shares that she's launching a new podcast in January called, Meaning and Moxie Over 50. I asked her what "moxie" means and here's what she had to say - "To me or in general, moxie means gritty, sassy, spicy courage. It's somebody who is bold and goes for things and isn't afraid to fail. it's kind of all that, all that wrapped up in there. It's always been a very favorite word of mine. In 2017, my mom passed and I said the eulogy for her. How do you sum somebody up in 15, 20 minutes? One of the words I used in her eulogy was moxie. At the very end, I said, may we all carry on her moxiness." So when I was thinking about a title for my podcast, boom, it came right. I mean, it was just the tip of the hat to her and just was right there. There was no question in my mind. Like, okay, yeah, this is the title."It was a great conversation covering so many topics. S01E12 with Shira Teleshevsky on manifesting, living intentionally, meditating and more...
In this conversation, Shira Telechevsky and I talk about the idea that the more centered we are, the more we bring light into our souls, the more we can get organized in our physical world as well. We discuss the five senses and how we forget that we have a sixth sense which is something we actually can sharpen as a skill. One of the greatest ways of sharpening our sixth sense is listening to it. The more we listen to it and give more value and credence to that voice, it gets stronger and stronger. One of the most profound ways of doing that is finding a quiet time to connect. It doesn't need to take a lot of time. Shira gives us a beautiful and easy way to mediatate. Take a listen now...everyone to different extents live busy lives we cannot forget to take that quiet time, a quiet time to connectCheck us out on IG https://www.instagram.com/stories/pearl.concierge.services/3199191970085468283/?hl=en
