Host Alex P Speech For Today What does it mean to be in Recovery?
Being in recovery is widely defined as a process of change through which individuals improve their health and wellness, live self-directed lives, and strive to reach their full potential. While often associated with overcoming substance use or mental health challenges, it is a holistic concept that applies to anyone moving toward a more stable and fulfilling life.According to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), recovery is built on four major dimensions:1. HealthThis involves managing one’s disease or symptoms—such as making informed, healthy choices that support both physical and emotional well-being. It is the foundation that allows for long-term stability.2. HomeHaving a safe and stable place to live is crucial. Recovery is difficult to sustain without the security of a consistent environment where one feels protected and grounded.3. PurposeThis refers to conducting meaningful daily activities. This could be a job, school, volunteerism, family caretaking, or creative endeavors. Having a "why" provides the independence, income, and resources to participate effectively in society.4. CommunityNo one recovers in a vacuum. This dimension focuses on having relationships and social networks that provide support, friendship, love, and hope.Key Principles of the Recovery JourneyIt is highly personal: There is no "one size fits all" pathway. What works for one person’s growth might look entirely different for another. It is a process, not a destination: Recovery is often described as a lifelong journey of self-discovery and maintenance rather than a finished goal.It is based on empowerment: The individual takes the lead in their own care, making choices that align with their personal values and goals. It emerges from hope: The belief that recovery is possible is the essential catalyst for change.Website: HostAlexP.com

Recognizing Addiction Signs and Symptoms - Signs of someone who has an addiction
Recognizing Addiction Signs and Symptoms - Signs of someone who has an addictionDefining Addiction SymptomsI'm currently focused on clearly defining the symptoms of addiction, aiming for both informative accuracy and empathetic presentation. My challenge is to format this complex information using Markdown, including appropriate headings, bullet points, and blockquotes for emphasis, while keeping the user's needs in mind.Recognizing addiction often involves looking for patterns of change across a person’s physical health, daily behaviors, and emotional state. While specific signs can vary depending on the substance or activity (such as gambling or internet use), there are several common indicators.Behavioral and Social SignsThese are often the first noticeable changes in a person's daily life.Loss of Control: Being unable to stop or cut down on the substance or behavior, even when there is a clear desire to do so.Neglecting Responsibilities: A decline in performance at work or school, or neglecting household and family obligations.Secretive Behavior: Going to great lengths to hide the habit, such as lying about where they have been or how they are spending money.Withdrawal from Social Circles: Losing interest in hobbies or social activities that were once enjoyed, often to spend more time engaging in the addictive behavior.Risk-Taking: Engaging in dangerous activities while under the influence or to obtain the substance.Physical SignsPhysical changes can be subtle at first but often become more pronounced over time.Changes in Appearance: Sudden weight loss or gain, poor hygiene, or unexplained bruises and marks.Sleep Disturbances: Insomnia or sleeping at unusual times.Physical Symptoms: Depending on the substance, this might include bloodshot eyes, dilated or constricted pupils, tremors, or slurred speech.Tolerance and Withdrawal: Needing more of the substance to achieve the same effect, or experiencing physical illness (nausea, sweating, or shaking) when attempting to stop.Psychological and Emotional SignsAddiction frequently impacts mental health and emotional stability.Mood Swings: Sudden shifts in temperament, ranging from unexplained irritability and outbursts to periods of extreme euphoria or lethargy.Increased Anxiety or Paranoia: Feeling "on edge," suspicious of others, or experiencing heightened fear without a clear cause.Lack of Motivation: A general sense of apathy or "fogginess" regarding future goals or daily tasks.Defensiveness: Reacting with anger or denial when confronted about their behavior or the substance use.Important Note: These signs do not provide a definitive diagnosis. Many of these symptoms can also be related to mental health conditions like depression or high levels of stress. If you are concerned about yourself or someone else, consulting a healthcare professional or an addiction specialist is the most reliable way to get an accurate assessment and [email protected]

Let's have a conversation about recovering from alcohol and drugs.
Recovery from alcohol and drug use is a multifaceted process that extends far beyond the simple cessation of substance use. While often used interchangeably with "sobriety," recovery is generally defined as a proactive, long-term commitment to improving overall health and quality of life. The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) defines recovery as "a process of change through which individuals improve their health and wellness, live a self-directed life, and strive to reach their full potential."The Four Major Dimensions of RecoveryTo support a successful life in recovery, four key areas are typically emphasized:Health: Overcoming or managing one’s disease(s) or symptoms and making informed, healthy choices that support physical and emotional well-being.Home: Having a stable and safe place to live.Purpose: Engaging in meaningful daily activities, such as a job, school, volunteerism, family caretaking, or creative endeavors, and the independence, income, and resources to participate in society.Community: Having relationships and social networks that provide support, friendship, love, and hope.Core PrinciplesRecovery is not a "one-size-fits-all" experience. It is guided by several foundational principles:Many Pathways: Recovery can involve professional clinical treatment, use of medications, support from families and faith-based communities, or 12-step programs (like AA or NA).Holistic Approach: It addresses the whole person, including mind, body, spirit, and community.Self-Directed: Recovery is highly personal. The individual defines their own goals and manages their unique journey.Resilience: It involves the ability to cope with setbacks and continue moving forward despite challenges.Recovery vs. SobrietyWhile sobriety refers specifically to the state of being abstinent from substances, recovery refers to the lifestyle and internal growth that occurs afterward. One can be sober without being in recovery (often called "white-knuckling"), but recovery focuses on healing the underlying issues that led to substance use in the first place. Guide to Cue Sheets
The Definitive Guide to Cue Sheets Executive Summary: The Definitive Guide to Cue SheetsA cue sheet is a fundamental metadata document within various professional domains. While the term is a homonym applied to distinct contexts optical disc authoring, live event production, and media production its most critical and widespread use is in the film, television, and advertising industries. In this capacity, a cue sheet serves as a comprehensive log of every piece of music used in an audiovisual production. The document’s purpose is twofold: it functions as a technical blueprint for the final sound mix, and more significantly, it acts as the primary legal and financial instrument for ensuring creators are fairly compensated for their work. This report provides a detailed analysis of the cue sheet, distinguishing its various applications and delving into its central role in the music royalty ecosystem. It examines the essential data components, the complex production workflows involved, and the severe consequences of inaccuracies or delays. Furthermore, the report explores the ongoing digital transformation of the industry, highlighting the shift from manual, error-prone processes to integrated, automated, and standardized systems. The central thesis is that the meticulous creation and timely submission of an accurate cue sheet are not merely administrative tasks but are non-negotiable for legal compliance, financial accountability, and the long-term professional sustainability of all parties involved in creative media. The term "cue sheet" is used across multiple industries to describe documents with fundamentally different purposes. To gain a complete understanding, it is essential to first differentiate these applications. This clarification prevents a critical misunderstanding, as a document designed for one purpose, such as a technical rundown, is completely unrelated to a document used for royalty attribution. In the media industry, a cue sheet is a comprehensive, itemized list of all musical elements present in a television program, film, or commercial. This includes everything from original scores and commissioned themes to licensed music and sound effects. It is the primary means by which Performing Rights Organizations (PROs) such as ASCAP, BMI, and SOCAN track the use of music and ensure that composers, songwriters, and publishers receive their due compensation. This type of cue sheet is an indispensable tool for filmmakers and producers, as it streamlines the process of coordinating audiovisual components, tracking music clearances, and maintaining a clear record of all rights.A live event or theatre cue sheet serves as a technical master plan for a production. It is often formatted as a grid-based rundown, also known as a "show flow," "q2q," or "run sheet". This document sequences the technical cues for various departments, including audio, video, lighting, and stage movements. It is an essential guide for the technical and creative teams, ensuring a seamless and coordinated execution during a performance. In theatrical productions, the "Master Cue Sheet" is a spreadsheet used by the stage manager to log and call every single cue, from light changes to sound effects and set transitions, guaranteeing that the show stays on track from pre-show to curtain close. The document is a blueprint for action, not a report for financial distribution.Websites:www.ywpnnn.comwww.lhmprradio.comwww.keezmcmusic.comwww.ascap.comwww.bmi.com

History of The Prince of the Talkbox Mr No Weapon
What is a Talkbox? How Does it Work? The “talk box” is a unique "Computerized Digital" effect that allows you to modify an audio signal — most commonly used with a keyboard synthesizer— using the player's mouth, with a plastic tube, as a filter to sing, talk or shape the sound. The talk box itself consists of a box, in which has a BUILT IN speaker (feeds into a plastic tube, that runs into a keyboard.. its harder to play, than it appears , it takes lots of practice and dedication in order to actually perfect it. Mr No Weapon, uses the talkbox mostly as a lead instrument in every song he creates. Why is he called the Prince of the Talkbox? Well, Because the 80s R and B, Funk Band, ZAPP and ROGER are the KINGS, of the Talkbox, so he humbly calls himself the PRINCE. Snippets of "Thick Thighs Still Save Lives", "Can I Flip You Upside Down"

Can I Flip You Upside Down? Mr No Weapon
Mr No Weapon-The Prince of the Talk Box Is Back, and he is bolder than ever especially with his "Can I Flip You Upside Down?". He brought the song to LIFE with the visual on YouTube and I can tell you now both females and males will love watching the video. WARNING - You will not be able to just watch it once! "Can I Flip You Upside Down?" has the same melody as "It Seems Like You're Ready" by R. Kelly and also has some similarity to "Computer Love" by Zapp & Roger as Mr No Weapon used a talk box in this music release. The Host of LHMPR Radio Podcast's overall opinion is this: If there were a merger between "It Seems Like You're Ready" and "Computer Love" the new product would produce "Can I Flip You Upside Down?" by Mr No Weapon. When the Host of LHMPR Radio Podcast asked Mr No Weapon what influenced the creation of "Can I Flip You Upside Down?" Here is Mr No Weapon's exact response "I'm 6' 3", a woman approached me while walking in Walmart and she was shorter than myself, she looked me up and down as if to undress me with her eyes and said, "I bet I flip you upside down!" I laughed as I kept walking but months later, I wrote a song about it encounter but changed to the situation to a man's point of view and titled it "Can I Flip You Upside Down". The name Mr No Weapon was created after he suffered a broken femur due to an Motorcycle accident that happened April 22. 2012 so he connected with the Bible Verse Isaiah 54:17. King James Version of Isaiah 54:17 reads as follows, "No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn." Some might say that this verse means that God is stating that anyone who is seeking to do evil against believers will fail. While others might say that it means that nothing, that the enemy tries to use against us will work. Can I Flip You Upside Down Official Video by Mr No Weapon

Hard Rock Metal Band - A Good Rogering #HardRock #Metal #ASCAP
With the release of their debut album Long Overdue in 2010, A GOOD ROGERING unloaded their hard, heavy, and uninhibited brand of eclectic rock into the back-allies of the Live Music Capital of the World. Led by vocalist/guitarist/songwriter Skunk Manhattan, the quartet-turned-trio released their follow-up album Lifeblood in 2013. With the departure of founding member and bassist Aric “Chef” Wright in 2015, the band took a brief hiatus until reforming as a quintet in 2016 and subsequently releasing This Is Death Metal in 2017. The acoustic-driven introspective “Out of Reach” was released in 2018 with the funk-inspired “Mr. Peanut” following in 2019. A new studio album Systematic Paralysis was slated for an early 2022 release. The first two songs, “Face Value” and title track “Systematic Paralysis”, were released as a combined single on 11/19/21.
