We are back after a two week hiatus.  In this episode, we recap the previous two games - Home game vs. Southwest Kansas Storm and Road game against the Lousiana Rouxgaroux.  We then talk to Coach about the upcoming game this week traveling to SWKS again. We also talk to the Express Employment Player of the Game for the Louisiana game, John Williams.

In this episode, we review/wrap up the loss against the Sioux City Bandits, we preview the game coming up Saturday against the Southwest Kansas Storm, and we get to know the MVP of the Sioux City game, Kavon Samuels.

In this episode, we discuss the Huge Win against the Pueblo Punishers 2 weeks ago, we look ahead to the Sioux City Bandits game on Saturday, and we talk about what Coach O did during the bye week.  Someone else in his family is winning Championships! We also sit down with Mr. MVP Tracy Brooks and discuss his path to Salina and playing football, how difficult the mental game is during the football season, and some of his favorite places to eat in town.

Due to a mishap, we do not have Coach O on the podcast this week.  So enjoy Kevin and Phil sitting down with the Express Employment Player of the Game from last Saturday night, #9 LB Darin Hungerford.  This guy has played football from coast to coast, and has learned a lot of great life lessons along the way.

In this episode, we start with last Saturday's game vs the Midwest Assailants with Coach O.  We discuss what the coaches got out of the exhibition game, and how hard it is to get a shutout like the Liberty did. Then we move onto looking ahead to the Omaha Beef game this Saturday, their organization, and what it will take to beat them. Finally, we sit down with newly named QB1 Evan Lewandowski.  We discuss his path from HS football to stops in Italy and Germany before ending up in Salina, KS.  You will find out all about Evan, including his pre-game ritual, his special talents, and what he thinks about Salina.

In this episode, we talk to Coach O about his offseason, transition from AF1 to NAL, and what is in store for this upcoming season!  We also discuss some of the rule differences between AF1 and NAL, and what fans can expect this year. We also sit down with Coach to discuss the end of the 2025 season and reflect on the season from the 0-4 start to the 6-1 finish.  We also discuss what the next few months look like for Coach, when he starts looking at the 2026 season, and what is next for the Salina Liberty.

We have tried all season, and in this episode Kevin and Phil finally got The REAL Coach O (Coach's Wife Nisha) on the podcast.  Find out all about Coach's wife; from what she does on Gamedays, to how she handles life as a Coaches wife, how negative media about her husband affects her, and her feelings about the game of football! We also interview K Bailey Hale in this episode.  Bailey resides in OKC, so we interviewed him during the week from his home...after the first game winning kick but before the second game winner in a row.  He is on a roll!

We had to wing it again due to some phone calls, so Kevin and Phil started off with Coach Martinez talking about the win against SWKS, the bus ride home, and the stellar special teams play the past few weeks. Then we have Kerry Starks join us to talk about his journey to Salina and his plans after football, as well as the bus ride home from SWKS.  Find out who the DJ on the team is, and who brings the speakers! In this podcast, we are literally and figuratively winging it!  Take a listen, you will understand.  Not only do we talk to Coach O about the butt kicking they put on Washington and the upcoming game against SW Kansas, but we have a scheduled and a few unscheduled guests. We start with #16 Desmon Epps and talk about his path to Salina through the Univ. of Idaho and what his future plans are.  Then we pivot to #99 Torrence Williams and what he brings to the table for the Liberty and any other football team he plays for in the future.  Lastly, we talk to #55 Torree Boyd and let him tell his story about how he quit football and what brought him back. We never knew what was going to be thrown at us next, but we rolled with it!

This episode was a blast!   In this episode, Kevin and Phil talk to Coach O about the Billings butt whipping, upcoming game against Washington this weekend, and the changes in the team the past few weeks.   We also finally get to interview the Equipment Manager Jimmy Stevens!  We have waited a long time for this one.  Find out what his responsibilities are, what a game day looks like for him, some of his favorite players and memories with the Salina Liberty, and what happens when he forgets something on a road trip (like coaches headsets).  He also gives us a surprise at the end!

In this episode, Kevin and Phillip sit down with Coach O to discuss the second week of the back to back bye weeks, and look ahead to the Billings game on Saturday and what is at stake.  We talk about the playoff picture, some personnel changes, and what the rest of the season looks like. And on top of that, we have Amanda on to discuss catering for the football team!  She talks about what goes on behind the scenes to shop, prepare, and feed everyone.  If you want to know how many hams she had to make for Easter dinner for the team, this is the episode you have been waiting for!  We even have a short cameo by Malik Honeycutt to tell us what his favorite foods are that Amanda cooks for the team. In this episode, Kevin is solo while Phillip is out on a cruise.  We lead off with a quick interview with QB Rakeem Cato to talk about his 300+ yard 8TD game against Albany.  Then Kevin and Coach O review the Billings and Albany games, and what the schedule looks like over the next couple of weeks with back to back byes.  We also discuss the end of the Albany game and the changes the league is making to ensure the same situation doesn't happen again. AF1 Mid-Season Awards are out, and there are quite a few Liberty players on the list, so we discuss those players and what the awards mean. And why do all the players that are new here like Taco John's so much?

With Kevin out this week, Phil was planning on talking to Coach O.  But Coach was busy finalizing some transactions, so Phil started the podcast interviewing players RJ Jarrett and Toree Boyd.  Then Phil talked to Coach Martinez and QB Javin Kilgo.

In this episode, Kevin and Phil talk to Coach O about the win against Oregon; what went well and what is still a work in progress, as well as looking ahead to Coach's trip home to Billings for a short week game.  We discuss what its like for Coach O to go home and coach the Liberty in an arena he has fond memories of in front of friends and family. We also address some questions that we have had submitted from our listeners, such as player and coach contracts, why certain players were not re-signed, and who is the most improved player since game 1.

In this episode, Kevin and Phil sit down with Coach O to recap the game against SW Kansas last Saturday night and dive into some of the miscues that didn't go the Liberty's way.  We also discuss the upcoming game against Oregon, and we touch on some of the rule differences with Arena football around special teams. Kevin and Phil also talk to Jordan and Taylor who are physical therapists in Salina and work with the Liberty.  We discuss what their day to day looks like with the players, some of the ugly injuries they see, and who can tape an ankle faster!

This week, Kevin and Phil break down and discuss last Sunday's game vs. the Albany Firebirds, starting the season 0-3 and where the team is at this time, and looking ahead to the game this Saturday against SW Kansas with Coach O. Welcome to the first episode of the Liberty Nation Podcast!  In this first episode, Kevin and Phil sit down for a chat with the Head Coach of the Salina Liberty Coach Heron O'Neal.  We discuss his offseason, what the Arena Football 1 League looks like this year, we break down some of the players on this year's roster, and talk about the upcoming game this weekend in Corpus Christi, TX against the Tritons.
