    Evolving Physical Therapy

    Our guest for episode 3, will be Jacob Robichaux. Jacob is a pro bodybuilder who earned his IFBB pro card at the young age of 22 ( after only 2 competitions). I met Jacob 3 years ago ago when he first walked into lifted gym and I knew then that he was going to be a bodybuilding prodigy. You can tell at first sight he had the genetics to build an incredible physique & the discipline to get there. Today, Jacob and I will discuss what he learned in his journey to becoming pro and other bodybuilding tips! Buckle up Lifted fam!

    Functional Medicine: A Necessary Approach

    Episode 2 ft. Casie Trosclair, Family Nurse Practitioner, and owner of Bayou Functional Medicine clinic. Throughout her career as a FNP, Casie noticed that the "traditional" way of practicing medicine came with some disadvantages when striving to best treat patients. Not only did her clinical experience nudge her to consider a new approach, but her family's personal experiences accelerated her to shift to practicing medicine in a more individualized, root-cause way. Casie's personal story is powerful and educates us that there are alternative and complementary forms of medicine that we can embrace that can greatly improve our health. As we introduce the concept of "Functional Medicine", we also discuss preventative labs, common nutrition deficiencies, inflammation in the body, and the benefits of fasting!  Enjoy and Live Lifted!

    The Larousse Legacy

    The Lifted Podcast debut episode features Tom Larousse, Louisiana bodybuilding legend and owner of Larousse’s Gym / Health club for nearly 40 years. Larousse’s was one of the first gyms in Thibodaux and through his gym, Tommy pioneered weight training and bodybuilding in our community! What’s interesting about Larousse’s, is that the historic location has come full circle and is now where Lifted Gym operates. Tommy has a unique story, incredible insights into the world of bodybuilding, and valuable life wisdom that he will be sharing with us today. Enjoy!
