    Season 1 : Episode 2 - It's Gooey

Sometimes when we talk Linux, we use a lot of terms and acronyms. Maybe it is time every once in a while to explain what they are. In this episode we will explain in a little more detail: Bloatware; Distrowatch.com; Rolling and other releases; bootable thumb drives and other hard drives; and of course, GUI.

    Season 1 : Session 1 - It's Hard to Avoid the VOID

Getting it all started! Linux Operating Systems (OS) are amazing, powerful, and useful tools. They help to get work done on computer systems that are both old and new. Several people work together on Linux and other Open Source apps. They help to make sure these OSes are available for others to work on to help make them better. Constantly changing and striving for a better system, Linux becomes an incredible way to keep a new machine rocking and an older machine alive. Keeping that old system out of the landfill, and useful in today’s fast-moving world. Linux is used for many servers around the world already. Unfortunately, Linux does not carry the same respect as Mac and Windows on the desktops and laptops of business and home life. These observations do not make sense with the power, security, speed, vitality, huge library of apps, documentation, and helpful community that many of these Linux OS’s provide for the world.
