Live with the Seasons is all about plants, seasonal changes, indigenous traditions, and community health. During the coming year, we will release podcasts exploring how the shifts in nature might inform our daily practice, and how we can grow along with the seasons. Each episode will feature some of our friends who will share their perspectives, wisdom, and stories to help us all get by. Join us as we discuss the remarkable connections we share with the seasons as well as skill sets to help us thrive. Live with the Seasons is a collaboration of the Urban Indian Health Institute, Feed Seven Generations, and Tahoma Peak Solutions. It is hosted by Valerie Segrest and Elise Krohn and produced and edited by Maria Givens. Our music is River Spirit by Chenoa Egawa.

    Fall Season with Dr. Terry Maresca

    In this episode Dr. Terry Maresca teaches us about preparing for fall in our bodies and in our spirits. She discusses the intentions behind seed saving, what we need to focus on in our health during this season, how to prepare for less light, the plants rich in the vitamins we need in fall, the daily practice of gratitude, and so much more.

    Late Winter with June O'Brien on Radical Self Care

    Winter is a season emulating a dark and cold environment and can also provide an opportunity for rest, rejuvenation, and reflective practice. In this Late Winter podcast, we hear from June O'Brien, who encourages us to consider the practice of radical self-care through powerful storytelling and poetry.  We discuss the importance of rest, the medicine of cottonwood and willow, and other teachings of the season.
