Loras College - Audio Campus Tour

Our oldest building on campus, Hennessy is home to Math, Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice.

Home to our education majors as well as Introductory Level General Education Courses, there are many classes that you could possibly take in Wahlert spanning across all four years. In the shape of a cross, there are meeting rooms, classrooms, and the Wahlert Atrium with a gorgeous view of the Rock Bowl.

Recently resurfaced, the State-of-the-art athletic facility is host to all indoor sporting events such as men’s and women’s Volleyball and Basketball and our wrestling meets. All our sporting events are free for students to attend.

The two-story workout facility is fully equipped with free weights, cardio equipment, and machines for varied workouts. It is free for students to use during the week and has flexible hours on the weekend as well! There are two full-time strength and conditioning coaches that have an office within the gym as well!

The Science Hall is our academic building for Biology, Chemistry, Engineering and Neuroscience courses. There are state-of-the-art 3D Printers, labs, and a center to test the neurological behaviors of mice! There are a multitude of hands-on learning experiences for our students.

An option for campus dining, our Einstein Bagel is conveniently located in the center of campus with a full menu for breakfast and lunch options and coffee! Right next-door we have the Duhawk Lounge complete with pool tables, a ping pong table, TVs and couches for students to hang-out and have fun!

One of our three traditional residence halls – Rohlman is a co-ed building, that is single-sex by floor. There are singles, doubles, and quads with community-style bathrooms on each floor. Traditionally our first year and sophomore students live in Rohlman.

With a wide range of uses from our Triathlon Club and recreational water polo to our NCAA Swim Team, the San Jose Pool is a great, free resource for students and community members to utilize on their own time!

There are dozens of campus-owned houses on the blocks surrounding Loras College. Ranging from 3-person to 6-person houses, traditionally our Seniors live in the houses! It’s a great step for more independence, while still getting to stay on campus to enjoy your student experience.

Home of many administrative offices including our President's office, Admission Office, Advancement and Alumni, Financial Planning, Registrar, as well as many others. The third floor is home to our Noonan School of business, we are equipped with multiple laptop-friendly classrooms, the entirety of our business faculty, and our state-of-the-art Finance Lab.

Our historic fieldhouse - where Presidential Candidates have spoken, Harlem Globe Trotters have played, and countless traditions have started – is still a beautiful facility for recreational sports and large group events!

One of our two apartment complexes – Byrne Oaks is an apartment complex with six-person apartments. Fully furnished, with a full kitchen and two bathrooms – these apartments are traditionally for our Juniors and Seniors.

Home to most of the Spiritual Life Division, this space serves as a hangout for students and offers free fair-trade coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. The staff offers a wide variety of prayer, retreats, worship, service and social justice experiences, and interfaith opportunities.

As a Catholic institution, we believe it is our responsibility to make sure people from all faith perspectives and worldviews feel welcomed. Having this interfaith prayer space is just one way we showcase this hospitality. Open to all members of our community from 6 am to midnight daily and equipped with chairs, prayer rugs, and books.

The Center for Inclusion and Advocacy has three full-time professionals whose mission is to develop, educate, and advocate for diversity, equity and inclusivity of all populations on campus. The Center has an array of opportunities and programs including a 24 hour lounge, diversity training, First-Generation Scholars Program and student organizations.

One of our campus dining options – our Pub has a full menu for appetizers, entrees, sides, and desserts. There is plenty of space for students to hang out, hold meetings, eat, and spend their time studying!

This is the Campus Life Office and includes Student Life, Residence Life, as well as the Dean of Students Office. Residence Life will be your go-to for anything related to housing and meal plans. The Student Life staff oversee campus organizations, College Activities Board, campus events, Orientation, and Launch into Loras. Both offices have numerous student leadership opportunities both paid and volunteer. This is also a space that students will use to chat with staff or friends, watch tv, and work on homework.

Our library features four floors, each having single, pair, and group study rooms. These floors each hold different academic fields as well. In everyone’s introductory level writing course, you will spend time getting more familiar with the library and its resources.

One of our many academic buildings, Hoffman Hall is host to the Media Studies, Language and Literature, and the Humanities programs. Additionally, St. Joseph Chapel holds masses and adoration. Hoffman is home to the St. Joseph auditorium where we have annual Plays and Musicals alongside a Film Festival and guest comedians.
