How we can be Heartbroken and Hopeful?

Heartbroken and Hopeful In this honest episode, I’m joined by my incredible partner in The Grief Disco, Leah Sian Davies, to explore the delicate balance between two powerful emotions: heartbreak and hope. Grief and living are not separate—they’re a blend of joy and sorrow, a dance between light and shadow. Together, we invite you to explore this duality with us, as we reflect on what it means to hold space for both emotions in your life. Navigating this delicate balance takes courage, self-awareness, and an open heart. It means learning to set boundaries, releasing guilt, and embracing the bravery to fully live—even through loss. If you’re curious about The Grief Disco and our journey, we’d love for you to follow along. You can also explore more of Leah’s offerings by checking her out here. As always, I’d love to hear from you—feel free to reach out at [email protected]. Tune in and join us as we explore what it truly means to live with heartbreak and hope intertwined.

How to do Christmas when you have lost someone you love.

Christmas is tricky at the best of times, but it can be especially tough when you’ve lost someone you love. This special episode of Love Shortage is here to support you. I’m your host, Georgina Jones, and I’m joined by my dear friend Leah Sian Davies, who specialises in grief through her powerful programs and events. Together, we’re sharing advice and giving you permission to use something we call your Grief Pass. What’s a Grief Pass? It’s the full permission to set boundaries and take care of yourself in a way that feels right. Let’s face it: losing someone changes everything, and you don’t have to meet anyone else’s expectations during this time. Leah and I deal with grief in unique ways and believe there’s no one-size-fits-all method to healing. That’s why we created Grief Disco https://griefdisco.carrd.co/ – a space for people to connect, shake off grief, and find lightness together. We hope this episode brings you hope and love during this difficult season. From our hearts to yours, you’re not alone. Can platonic love give us what our parents didn't?

Can we learn to express love when our parents never showed us how? Do we even have the words for it? And what about platonic love—how does friendship shape the way we love? These are the big, heartfelt questions I’m exploring today with my wonderful guest, Ruth Steggles. Ruth is a coach who helps parents navigate the deeply challenging journey of supporting a child with an eating disorder—a path she’s walked herself. Ruth’s warmth, wisdom, and kindness shine through in this conversation as we unpick what love really means, touching on:💬 Saying “I love you” when you come from a family that didn’t.🤝 The transformative power of platonic love and the importance of friendship.💭 Letting go of judgment to embrace love fully—and how to actually do that. This is such a rich and honest conversation, and I truly hope you enjoy it. I’d love to hear your thoughts—feel free to email me at [email protected]. Have we forgotten how to love?

Have We Forgotten How to Love? Have we numbed ourselves so much that we’ve stopped feeling fully? Has protecting our hearts kept us from experiencing the love, joy, and connection we need? And what if something as simple—and profound—as sea swimming could help us find it again? This week, I’m joined by Grant Zehetmayr from Dawnstalkers, an inspiring sea swimming community that meets every dawn to dive into the cold water and reconnect with themselves and each other. 🌊 If you’ve ever been curious about sea swimming, this episode is for you! I learned so much from Grant’s insights about connection, resilience, and the surprising ways the sea can heal us. This conversation, filled with depth and love, was truly a beautiful experience for me, and I hope it will be for you, too. ✨ Stay Connected Follow the podcast to ensure you never miss an episode! What is it All For?

Welcome to a deeply personal and reflective episode of the podcast. Yesterday, November 9th, would have been my son Osian’s birthday, and this episode is dedicated to him. Today, there are no guests—just me, George, sharing my journey, my “why,” and what drives me forward. In this special solo episode, I hope to inspire you to ask yourself, What is it all for? Why do we do what we do, and what meaning does it bring to our lives? By exploring these questions, we can uncover profound insights about ourselves and our purpose. I’ll also share details about some of the incredible projects inspired by Osian and his memory, such as: Osian’s Fishes – A project close to my heart, aimed at fostering kindness and connection. Grief Disco – A creative, healing space co-hosted with my partner in disco, Leah Sian Davies. (You can listen to our previous episode together if you'd like to know more about this meaningful work!) Each of these projects is part of my journey to bring more love, compassion, and support into the world.
