Lynette’s Corner

    Messy Friendships

    This episode dives into the complicated, often painful reality of adult friendships. Your hosts discuss how they form, evolve, and sometimes fall apart. Joined by the usually quiet but insightful Kris, the group explores two of his personal experiences with friendships that became messy before ultimately ending.  The conversation broadens into reflections on pandemic-era loneliness, the dangers of putting all your social eggs in one basket, how unresolved trauma gets projected onto friendships, and the importance of self-awareness in relationships. The episode closes on a warm note, with each of us sharing our favorite ways to slow down and be still which include: reading, crafts, puzzles, walking dogs, and listening to the same song on repeat.

By giving a voice to personal struggles and triumphs, we are here to remind you that connection matters and that you are not alone on this journey.On this episode we are joined by Lynn's sisters, Julia and Stacy.  In this heartfelt episode (grab your tissue) they share the struggles of their family life and how they have navigated, trauma, addiction, and estrangement. By vulnerably sharing their stories, the hope is that other's will find their path towards healing and deeper connections. Thank you for listening!

    Physical Well-Being with Special Guest: Dr. Danh Ngo PT, DPT, OCS, SCS

    On this episode we have the distinct pleasure of hosting Dr. Danh Ngo PT, DPT, OCS, SCS. We discuss how physical wellbeing supports relational wellbeing, and ask him to share some "bare minimum" approaches to improving wellbeing and addressing physical concerns.  Dr. Ngo is a physical therapist who can say he shares the experiences, the emotional and physical roller coaster journey, of having pain, needing surgery, having the surgery and realizing there was more than he could have done with less risk.  He once had spine surgery and now is on the journey to finding good medical care for his son’s medical health. Because of this, Dr Ngo has become an expert in helping members achieve an alternative to medications especially painkillers, procedures and avoiding surgery.   He is in the prestigious group of 0.1% of Physical Therapist in the country with a double certification in orthopedic and sports medicine specialist.  Dr. Ngo’s background and experience have allowed him to appreciate and marvel at the human body and its capability.  Every day he works, he is still amazed at how little we know about this complex machine called the human body.Connect with Dr. Danh at https://revitalizerehabclub.com/bestphysicaltherapistinlongbeach/
