M.M CONVERSATIONS

Welcome to the MM PODCAST!!!Two guys documenting their journey of Kaizen (Continuous Improvement). No fancy mics or high end equipment, making full use of the resources at their disposal. Bootstrapping, word for word. At least for now. We're not here to tell CEOs, Business Leaders and People in general to do what we're doing because who the hell are we? This is a documentation of our journey which you will be able to relate to.

  1. 17

Guess what? We're full of shit too.

It has been a perennial since we've done this. We did give each other our word stating we would be consistent, turns out, we lied. Life tested us and exposed our hypocrisy. It certain felt amazing to get back into our conversations.

  2. 16

    Every Man And His Father

"Every man is either living up to the expectations of his father, or is living down the sins of his father, or both" Barack Obama

  3. 15

    Voice and Communication Training

Communication revolves around us. We've been speaking all our life but have we spent enough time contemplating over if we're doing it right. Here's a snippet of what Azfar does to improve the way he communicates.

  4. 14

    The Beauty of Travel

Azfar may not be a travel enthusiast, but Amjadh certainly is. From camping overnight, long hikes and conversation. Amjadh has experienced it all. Here's some insight on why he travels.

  5. 13

You Make The Decision, Then The Decision Makes You

We often converse about how hard it is to make a decision, but we rarely talk about what goes on in your mind after you've made the decision. We really enjoyed recording this. Enjoy!

  6. 12

    A little catch-up

We're surrounded by hundreds of opinions from different people. Social media inflates the problem. Think about that for a second. You trust the opinion of somebody else who does not know any better than you. It's almost an insult to your own intellectual capability. Hope you enjoy this episode. Happy 2024 Everyone!

  7. 11

    Lessons of 2023.

2023 has been quite a year. New jobs, new countries, contentious decisions, foolhardy moves, lessons and growth. Here’s a little bit about what 2023 has been like for us. Wishing Everyone An Outstanding 2024.

  8. 10

    Stop Faking Gratitude!

"Be Grateful" , "Have Gratitude". How often do you hear these words? Truer words have never been spoken. In fact, you could even say that we don't spend enough time being grateful. Unfortunately, the phrase "Be Grateful" has become an empty platitude bottled inside Virtue Signalling and it is sad to see. How a word so nimble and yet extensive can atrophy.

  9. 9

A Reminder From The Past Is Probably A Sign From The Heavens Above.

The past does not define you, but it certainly does shape your present frame of mind. We spend ample time trying to forget it while ignoring the learnings we get from the mistakes we've made. If you happen to remember something from the past, maybe it's a sign of something you haven't confronted and dealt with. Enjoy!

  10. 8

Culture Is Either Good Or Bad, There Is No In Between.

The logic of having a 100 books published on "Business Culture" does not make sense. You either have a good culture or a shit culture. It's not an intricate answer. Here's our take with our own personal experiences working across different companies. Working inside the shit cultures and the great cultures. Enjoy!

  11. 7

Be Careful Of Your Ego When Things Are Going Your Way.

A wise person once said, "Be careful of your ego on the days where things seem to be going your way. That’s probably when you need to try the hardest to stay grounded. We all want to feel good, sometimes even excessively so. You start getting praise, you start getting recognition and you start feeling proud. Then you get entitled and you start losing your way. Understand that as much as the good days exists, the bad ones exists too"

  12. 6

Passage Time | The Art of Listening

You could make the contentious argument that we have never been more disassociated than ever before. Think about that for a second, we're here in a physical realm, but are we REALLY here? A conversation held on repetition over repetition. Time and time again. Awareness is the light at the end of the tunnel. Here's our thoughts on this. Enjoy!

  13. 5

Passage Time | Life lessons from an 80 year old

Two quotes from philosophers in our history and one of our favourites, “Reading Helps You Have Conversations with the Dead” and “Books are a way of gaining wisdom from the ones no longer with us”. So here’s a quote we came up with- “You have a moral duty as a human being to be curious enough to gain wisdom and knowledge from the information at your disposal” Have you ever asked yourself if you should’ve had an extended conversation with a senior citizen born in a world different to yours? Maybe you would after this. Here’s Life Lessons from an 80 Year Old. Enjoy!

  14. 4

Passage Time | Henry Ford | Quotes You Need To Hear

A man that needs no introduction. Henry Ford is one of the few that understood the direction of the world and he certainly did see things not many did. Here's a few quotes from the man himself. Enjoy.

  15. 3

Passage Time | The Power Of Names | Dale Carnegie

We've decided to transition into calling it "Passage Time" from Chapter Time. This is an extract from the book, "How To Win Friends and Influence People" by Dale Carnegie. Something we can all relate to. Enjoy!

  16. 2

People Take You Seriously When You Communicate Well.

We've been working on our communication skills quite a lot in the last 6-7 months. From the simplest things such as our voice to overwhelming factors such as our Vocabulary. Once we understood its importance, we've been enjoying the process. Have a listen to know about some of the things we do to improve the way we communicate. Attached below is the youtube url of someone we believe provides valuable insight on improving your communication: https://www.youtube.com/@ttsar We certainly did enjoy recording this episode. Hope you guys enjoyed this too. Feedback is highly appreciated.

Chapter Time | It Does Not Have To Be Crazy At Work | Jason Fried & David Hansson

We always seem to come back to the book It Doesn't Have To Be Crazy At Work By Jason Fried & David Hansson and I recommend you do too. In a world filled with Instagram Hustlers or Masochists, this book cuts out all the fluff and tells you that you don't necessarily need to run a company like it's terminal because we both know, it's highly unlikely that it is. Hope you enjoy this passage from the book

Be Direct Or Indirect In Your Speaking?

We're often told to be "straightforward" with people and say what needs to be said. But most of the time when you do, someone gets offended and then you're considered impertinent and vile. As contentious it may be, the question remains, do we be "straightforward" and stop caring about how people feel about it? or do we improve the way we articulate what needs to be said? Thoughts? Here's an example of an experience Azfar had not too long ago.

  19. -1

I Barely Spoke A Word Of English in 2019.

Azfar and I have had numerous conversations on how we can be better. From the way we speak, write and even dress etiquette. Countless conversations about working on the micro details. You will get a taste of it in this episode. We discuss: - Our flaws with discipline. - Always improving - Happiness/Success - Mistakes and Regrets - Improving our Communication Skills We are learning about ourselves in the process. Feedback is taken in the highest regard. Please do tell us how we can do this better.
