Life As An Upcycling Dress Maker Featuring Jane Fischer

Jane Fischer is an entrepreneurial dress-maker and owner of Janiette Post-Industrial. Her creations are made from repurposed clothing and fabric that would have otherwise landed in landfills. Jane has been in several local Art fairs in the past 5 years here in Minneapolis, Minnesota including the Edina Art Fair, Wayzata Art Experience, the Highland Fest, and Excelsior Art on the Lake. Jane has also had her clothes in local retail stores including the former Local Motion. Jane will be sharing with us how and why she decided to create her small business, the struggles and successes she’s faced, and why she’s decided to choose a different path away from life as a dress maker after 6 years. You can find Jane on Instagram @janiettepostindustrial: https://www.instagram.com/janiettepostindustrial/
