What Is Wisdom? Leadership Beyond Knowledge
In this episode of Making Love, Eva and John explore Wisdom, the fourth and final pillar of the Embodied Leadership Journey.Wisdom is not information, insight, or knowledge. It is what remains after experience has been lived, felt, reflected on, and integrated. Through honest conversation, Eva and John speak about wisdom as something earned through time — through cycles of desire, action, truth, and learning — rather than something that can be taught or transmitted. They explore:* Why wisdom lives in the body, not just the mind* The role of time, humility, and lived experience* Knowing when to act and when to wait* How wisdom brings grounded presence, discernment, and integrity* Why leadership matures through cycles, not techniquesThis episode completes the four pillars of Embodied Leadership — Desire, Will, Truth, and Wisdom — revealing them as a living cycle rather than linear steps. As wisdom deepens, new desires emerge from a more integrated place, refining how we live, relate, and lead.Wisdom, here, is not an ending — but a threshold. To learn more about the Embodied Leadership Journey, visit:🔗 https://www.dreaminginunison.org/12-month This is a public episode. Truth: Staying With What Is
In this fifth episode of Making Love, Eva and John enter the territory of Truth — a space of honest reflection, grounding, and clear seeing. As the energy of action settles, Truth asks a different kind of courage: to look back at what has been created and to meet it without distortion. Like autumn shedding its leaves, this territory reveals the underlying structures — the patterns, limits, and shadows that were previously hidden beneath movement.Eva and John explore Truth not as harsh judgment or brutal honesty, but as a compassionate, embodied practice. They speak to the risk of this territory — turning against ourselves or refusing to look at all — and to its deeper gift: integrity. The capacity to see clearly and act from what is true rather than what is comfortable. The conversation unfolds through three movements. First, Loving What Is — pausing to see honestly while holding ourselves with care, allowing acceptance to soften into forgiveness. Then, Accountability — turning toward what has been avoided, tending unfinished business, composting what no longer serves so that new life can emerge. Finally, Perspective— stepping back into a wider horizon, recognizing the narrow lenses we’ve been using, and discovering that there are many ways of seeing.Throughout the episode, Truth is revealed as a descending energy — one that grounds us, clarifies our next steps, and brings coherence between desire, will, and lived reality. When we dare to look with honesty and compassion, Truth becomes not an ending, but a threshold.Truth is a third core pillar of the Embodied Leadership journey, a year-long initiation into living, relating, and leading from what is real, facilitated by Dreaming in Unison. Will
In this fourth episode of Making Love, Eva and John explore the theme of Will — not as force or grit, but as a living, embodied capacity.Desire may show us what we want, but will is what carries us across the distance between vision and reality. This is the space where many dreams quietly fade — not because they weren’t real, but because staying with something over time asks more of us than enthusiasm alone.Together, Eva and John reflect on will as sustained commitment rather than pressure. They unpack the difference between willpower — the mind forcing behavior — and true will, which arises when our actions are rooted in authentic desire. When we are genuinely connected to what matters, effort no longer feels like self-violence; it becomes devotion. This conversation moves into the body: how will lives in our nervous system, our rhythms of energy and rest, our ability to stay present with discomfort without needing to escape or push through it. Will, here, is learned slowly — through returning again and again, through building structures that support our intentions, and through discovering that we can stay even when the path is unclear.Eva and John also name the shadow of will in modern culture: relentless busyness. The compulsion to keep doing, producing, and striving — not because it’s aligned, but because stopping would mean facing ourselves. Embodied will, they suggest, knows when to act and when to rest. It can be satisfied. It can celebrate what has been built. This episode invites a redefinition of strength — one rooted in presence, honesty, and the quiet power of staying. Will is the second pillar of the Embodied Leadership journey, a 12-month path beginning in February with Dreaming in Unison. To learn more about the journey, visit the link below.https://www.dreaminginunison.org/12-month This is a public episode. You probably don't know your desires...
So many of us move through life without ever truly asking ourselves a simple but life-shaping question:What do I actually desire? What do I truly want?In our recent gathering, a friend reflected that this question had never been asked inside of him — not honestly, not from the depth of his own being. And this is so common.Because most of us inherit “desires” shaped by our family, our culture, our environment…Dreams that were handed to us, not born from us.Expectations that became internal laws.Desires that are really strategies for belonging, safety, or approval. To touch our authentic desire is not instant. It’s a process of unlearning…of digging, shedding, listening…of peeling back the layers of who we were told to be so that who we are can speak.True desire is quiet at first — a pulse beneath the noise. But once we meet it… everything changes. In this week’s episode of Making Love, we explore this theme in depth — why desire is the first pillar of our 12-month Embodied Leadership Program, and why knowing what you truly want is the foundation for living a life rooted in truth, alignment, and soul.If you feel curious:Learn more about the Embodied Leadership Program beginning this February:https://www.dreaminginunison.org/12-monthThis journey begins with one question: What is your true desire?Listen to the full episode on Substack: https://substack.com/@dreaminginunison/p-180864705 This is a public episode. Desire
In this episode of Making Love, Eva and John open the doors to the first pillar of their Embodied Leadership Program — Desire. This pillar is the beginning of everything: the quiet spark inside us that knows what we truly want beneath the noise of culture, family, and expectation. Together, they speak about how most of us live from inherited desires that leave us feeling hollow, and how reconnecting to authentic desire becomes a radical act — a return to the body, to truth, and to the future that’s trying to take shape through us. They explore how desire emerges somatically, why the body must lead before the mind names it, and how learning to articulate our true wants becomes the heart of embodied leadership and the foundation of a life that actually feels alive. If you want to learn more about the Embodied Leadership Program offering visit: https://www.dreaminginunison.org/12-month This is a public episode. Embodied Leadership
Eva and John dive into one of the core themes of their life’s work: embodied leadership. Together, they explore what it truly means to lead, not from personality or performance, but from the grounded intelligence of the body. They unravel the misconceptions around leadership—how it’s often confused with authority, charisma, or productivity—and look instead through a new lens: leadership as a lived, embodied practice. Along the way, they reflect on their own paths, how embodiment became the foundation of their work, and why they believe leadership rooted in the body is essential for this moment in time. This conversation also opens a window into a creation they’ve been shaping quietly for years: a 12-month Embodied Leadership Program that brings together the tools, frameworks, and wisdom gathered from their individual journeys. Launching February 1st, 2026, it marks the beginning of a first cohort who will become an integral part of the Dreaming in Unison community. The episode is both an intimate exploration and an invitation—an opportunity to feel into what embodied leadership might mean for your own life, and to walk alongside Eva and John as they share the work that moves them most.If you want to learn more about the Embodied Leadership Program offering visit: https://www.dreaminginunison.org/12-month This is a public episode. The Dream Takes Form
We’ve just returned from Peru after A Living Prayer — our 10-Day Rite of Passage in the Amazonian jungle — hosted by Dreaming in Unison, and my heart is overflowing with gratitude. This was not an easy path. It was deep, raw, and revealing — asking each of us to face the shadows and the parts we often hide from light. Yet every single soul who came said yes — with their bodies, their voices, their prayers, and with the medicines of the jungle. I feel immense gratitude for their courage and for the healing we shared together. This journey was guided by our Dreaming in Unison team with love and devotion: myself, John, Natasha — alongside our dear Shipibo maestros, Lottie and Eusebio, who held the medicine space with such grace. Thank you to JahSelva Center for hosting us in their beautiful home on the edge of the jungle. We also worked with Kambo, one of my closest allies. Though its purifications were intense and humbling, by the end many returned to it — meeting the medicine with new understanding and a deep respect for its gifts. All of this unfolded under the eclipse and autumn equinox, making our time together feel like more than personal healing — it felt like collective work. Work for the Earth, for love, and for remembering our shared humanity and most importantly how much embodiment matters. When it was time to say goodbye, I could see the transformations reflected in everyone’s faces and bodies — the trust, the gratitude, the quiet strength. What we shared feels like a seed that will continue to grow, rippling far beyond the jungle. As the very first of its kind — not a retreat, but a Rite of Passage — this gathering also marks the true birth of our Dreaming in Unison community. Those who came are now part of a living web, walking their own paths while staying connected in heart, co-creating beauty in the world. And while we were in Peru, something else came fully into being — the official landing of our Dreaming in Unison website and the unfolding of all our offerings. After years of tending this vision, it’s finally taking form — a space where everything we’ve practiced, dreamed, and lived can now be shared with the world. This is just the beginning. We keep following the path — knowing everything will unfold in divine timing: new projects, circles, and ways to walk this living prayer together. With love, gratitude, and light,EvaTo visit our new website click here. Closing To Open
In the closing episode of Season 2, Eva and John share a deeply personal experience: the creation of a relationship ceremony to mark the end of one chapter between them—and to open space for something new. They explore the power of ceremony as a living language in relationship: a way to witness transition, integrate lessons, and invite the unknown with reverence. This act of closure wasn’t about ending love—it was about evolving it. About honoring what had been lived, and making room for what longs to emerge.Together, they reflect on what it means to relate not just to each other, but to the Divine through relationship. To live as ceremonialists of the heart. To learn, and keep learning, what it means to embody sacred relating—where each threshold becomes a portal, and every goodbye is also a beginning. This episode is a heartfelt offering for anyone navigating the changing tides of love, and a reminder that relationship itself can be a living prayer. The Art of Prayer
In this episode, Eva and John explore the living, breathing practice of prayer—not as a formula, but as a dialogue with the unseen. They reflect on the many ways prayer shows up in their lives: through words, silence, movement, longing. What does it mean to ask for something with your whole heart? And what happens when the answer arrives in an unexpected form?Together, they invite us into the mystery of how prayers are received—often not in the way we imagined, but always with meaning. This conversation is a gentle reminder to listen deeply, not just to the act of praying, but to the world’s response. Sometimes the answer is hidden in the mundane. Sometimes it’s wrapped in disguise. But always, it’s part of a greater conversation. This is a public episode. Living in Relationship with Land
In this episode, Eva and John trace the invisible threads between land and body—how the Earth herself has shaped them, drawn them together, and continues to guide their path. They explore their relationship with different lands across the world, speaking to how each place feels like a living acupuncture point on the planet—activating different parts of their being, like the chakras of a greater Earth-body.Together, they reflect on how certain geographies resonate with specific energies, how climates, mountains, forests, and rivers stir distinct parts of the soul—and how the nature of each place invites a different way of relating to one’s own body, to spirit, and to each other. This episode is a journey through memory and myth, guided by the question: What if the land itself is dreaming us into who we are becoming? Eva and John share how their own story was born from this way of listening—an indigenous way of being in relationship with Earth, where prayer is conversation, and love is a living dialogue with place. Exploring What Is Home
In this episode, Eva and John explore the question: What is home? It's a theme that’s been close to Eva’s heart for much of her life. Since she was 14, she’s lived a nomadic life—moving across countries, cultures, and relationships. The past six years have been especially full of movement, with only a few moments of pause. One of those was her recent stay in Thailand, which gave her a rare taste of stillness. But now, on the move again, the question returns.Together, Eva and John reflect on how each of them relates to the idea of home—what it means, how it changes, and where it’s found. Is it in a place, a person, a feeling? Can it exist in the in-between?This episode is a personal and honest conversation about belonging, transition, and the ongoing search for grounding. Exploring Leadership in a Relationship
In this episode, Eva and John dive into the question of leadership in our world and within their relationship — what it means to lead, what it means to follow, and how to find balance between the two. Eva opens up about her personal exploration of leadership, the desire to be a strong guide, but also to soften and trust, to relax into the flow of following. Together, they explore how leadership in a relationship isn’t about dominance, but about attunement — listening deeply, taking turns, and honoring each other’s natural rhythms. As their conversation unfolds, something real begins to happen in the moment. There’s a tender pause where emotions rise, and the dance of leading and following comes alive between them. They navigate that tender space together, finding their way back to each other’s presence. It’s a living example of the topic they’re exploring — a reminder that true leadership in a relationship is a dance of co-creation and vulnerability. This is a public episode. The Pain Body as an Ancestral Entity
The Pain Body as an Ancestral Entity - Second Episode of Making Love.In this episode, John and Eva reflect on the challenge and importance of taking responsibility for our own pain and discomfort while being in a relationship. The episode begins with Eva sharing a personal and raw moment that unfolded after returning from an ancestral workshop in her homeland, the Czech Republic. What started with a beautiful connection to her Slavic roots turned into an overwhelming wave of ancient pain that consumed her body and heart. The pain was bigger and older than anything she knows herself to be. Eva speaks with John about the physicality of this “pain body” and they touch on how easy it is in a relationship to want to rescue each other in difficult personal moments. John shares his personal challenges with a savior complex, and the courage it takes to stay rooted while holding space. This is a touching conversation about reclaiming power, seeing old patterns clearly, and practicing the ancient art of living with pain — an art that makes space for both self and others.
