Mannion Clan History & Heritage
by The Mannion Clan
Mannion Clan History & Heritage is a podcast channel dedicated to sharing the rich history and cultural heritage of the ancient and illustrious Ó Mainnín / O’Mannion clan of Co. Galway. In the initial phase, the podcasts will focus on the historical homelands and the principal sites associated with the clan in medieval and early modern times. The scope of the podcasts will later expand to include the forced relocation of large segments of the clan from the middle of the seventeenth century onwards, and will follow the fortunes of clan members who settled in the west of Co. Galway, the surrounding counties, and as far away as the Dingle Peninsula in Co. Kerry, with descendants of theirs eventually travelling overseas to form our great global Mannion diaspora.
