I’m not sure I want a reset
Lately, my feeds have been full of people talking about taking a day to reset and plan for 2026.I get the symbolism. I really do.But something about it doesn’t sit right with me. The idea that reflection only happens at the end of the year. That there’s a “right” way to reset. That if you don’t do it, you’re missing something. This isn’t an argument against planning or reflection. It’s just me thinking out loud about why this whole thing feels oddly performative, why some of us reset differently, and why not everything needs a clean slate to move forward.Just some late-night thoughts.

Midnight Notes: Christmas, Change & Finding a New Rhythm
It’s late, Christmas is approaching faster than expected, and my thoughts are doing that familiar midnight thing. Drifting between work, family, friendships, and the quiet realisation that routines don’t stay the same forever. In this episode of Midnight Notes, I reflect on how Christmas feels different as we grow older, how relationships shift, and how we slowly find ourselves adjusting to new rhythms without really deciding to.There’s no conclusion here.No lesson to wrap things up neatly.Just a late-night reflection on change, transition, and letting life unfold as it is. Letting go and seeing where life takes me.

The Beginning of the Midnight Chaos & Sparks
This is the very first recording of the Midnight Marchioness.Made on a rainy, stormy night at 11:30pm, with no plan, no script, and a brain that refuses to rest.No structure. No shape yet.Just a place to think out loud and see where this path leads. If you’re listening… welcome to the chaos.
