Mental Health and the Effects of Albinism
by Brian Chungu
I was born with a condition known as albinism. I was very much okay with the condition but the fact that people teased me about it, is what would develop as a traumatic experience for me. It did not matter where I went, whom I met or what I did. I was probably seen to be worthless. I learnt from the experience that, it is not about how you appear to people physically, it has everything to do with what impact you are able to make regardless of how people people think of you. So outward appearance really do not mean anything in the eyes of a determined person.Join me in this podcast as I explain my childhood experience living with albinism.
