Emmanuel's Reaction
I interviewed Emmanuel, a security guard, to understand how he feels about the difficulties and high prices of oil products. Emmanuel was deeply concerned and lamented bitterly, describing it as a terrible experience. He stated that the inflation of prices due to scarcity and the stress of obtaining oil products have made his transportation costs to work extremely expensive, and he's struggling to cope. He revealed that he now cuts back on other expenses and even borrows money from friends to pay for transportation just to make it to his workplace. Due to the high prices, he no longer uses oil and gas products at home, opting instead to use charcoal for cooking. He expressed willingness to pay money to support any venture that would make it easier and more affordable to access oil products.

John and Esther
I interviewed John, an electrician at Lupita Hotel in Abuja. He expressed frustration about the difficulties in obtaining oil products and the high prices, which affect him personally since he rarely uses oil and gas-powered products at home due to the high cost. The scarcity and high price of products have made life challenging. He mentioned that if he owned a company, he would continue to purchase this essential commodity to stay in business but would increase the price of his products to compensate. Esther, a colleague of John's, shared similar concerns. As a vehicle owner, she plans to reduce expenses by parking her car and using public transportation. However, if she owned a company, she would go to great lengths to source the product, regardless of its location, to keep her business running. Ultimately, she would also increase the price of her products to keep up.
