Midnight Soup Pod

Welcome, to the Midnight Soup Podcast. This is a little bit of everything. A slow-simmering stew of thoughts, ideas, inspirations and lore. A dash of nostalgia, a pinch of weirdness, a sprig of something unexpected. It’s a space to share what’s been lighting me up, what I’ve been pondering, and what might inspire both of us. It’s for the romantics, the artists, the multi passionate and multidimensional dreamers. We’ll talk about everything from folklore to the occult, life chats to lessons I’ve learned (or am still learning), advice I’ve given or received, and the strange, beautiful, messy art of being human. It’s for those who crave depth, a bit of magic, and the occasional existential crisis  all simmered together in a nice, hot bowl of soup. So, grab a hot beverage, settle in. The Witching Hour: Evil Eye

The "evil eye" is a widespread belief found in many cultures around the world, rooted in the idea that a person can cause harm simply by casting a jealous or envious gaze upon someone else. This look is thought to bring bad luck, misfortune, or even illness to the unsuspecting person. Often unintentional, the evil eye reflects the power of negative energy focused through attention, especially when driven by resentment or ill will. In this episode we discuss it’s history and origins, how you know if you might have an evil eye upon you, and things you can do to protect against or repel it!Thanks for reading Midnight Soup ! Midnight Soup Pod: The Witching Hour

We’ve all heard stories of bumps in the nights, eerie noises sent through the breeze on a foggy night, and unexplained phenomena most commonly around 3 AM, or between midnight and 3 AM. The witching hour, also known as the devils hour or the chime hour, are names to encompass this timeframe. Is this when the veil between worlds is the thinnest? Or is this when the devil is most likely out to play? Could it even just be our human brains scaring ourselves because of REM sleep? We investigate in this episode of Midnight Soup: The Witching Hour. Thanks for listening dolls,Xoxo, EmilyCheck out my cool website!!
