MindScoop is a podcast hosted by Thomas Kuzma and Eden Kayser as they talk about various topics related to neurodiversity, with each episode having a different flavor. This podcast was recorded at Landmark College using the WLMC Radio studio. This podcast was done in collaboration with Landmark's Center for Neurodiversity and Social Pragmatics Program.

    MindScoop Season 3 - Episode 12: Protein Powder

    Our last MindScoop flavor of the season features protein powder to help our neurodivergent ice cream fans get into fitness and outdoor recreation for the start of summer!Joining us this episode is graduating Landmark student, Claudia Sherman who is on the athletic advisory board, Lanmark running team, and co-founder of CWAGletics to help reduce barriers for female-identifying and non-binary students by holding exclusive weekly fitness programs for "fems and thems".For this episode, we talk about our experiences with fitness as well as challenges and barriers related to neurodiversity and gender identity. Though this flavor primarily focuses on the female perspective, TK is still here to give his perspective on fitness as a neurodivergent male, so this flavor is for all genders!We hope to be back with plenty of food for thought with Season 4!

    MindScoop Season 3 - Bonus Scoop: Neurodiversity and Superheroes with Jman Erkan

    In this bonus scoop, Jman returns to talk about his love of superheroes and sidekicks with Eden why he relates to them so heavily as a neurodivergent young adult. At Landmark, Jman shares his passion with others and hosts a program where he shows his peers how neurodiversity can be connected to superheroes by watching various movie and shows and hosting discussions.     In part 1 of our cherry flavored episode, Eden and TK talk about autism and neurodiversity representation in movies and tv shows.     MindScoop Season 3 - Episode 10: MisCaramelizations

    This MindScoop flavor features misconceptions about neurodiversity and autism and the harmful effects they can have on a college campus and in life. Eden and TK invite Landmark Director of Mental Health Counseling, Tori Tilson, and graduating Landmark student, Aidan Kipp (Kipper) to discuss this sensitive but important topic. The topic and episode questions were planned by Kipper, to use as an artifact for his capstone project.

    This spicy flavor of Mind Scoop features hot topics and handling disagreements. It can be especially tough accepting difference of opinion if you're neurodivergent, so we hope this episode can give everyone some food for thought for when you have those uncomfortable discussions.     This Mind Scoop flavor is all about how neurodivergence is perceived in different parts of the world (focusing on Brazil and Australia), generations, and religion (focusing on Christianity). We invited Landmark student, Josh Sampaio who leads the Pa' Lante Center for Hispanic students and allies. We hope to expand upon neurodiversity and religion in a future episode!
