The Big Nine Conference game at Jerry Raddatz Field was tight early , but the Winhawks pulled away for a 8-0 victory.

The Faribault baseball squad came behind from a early 5-0 deficit to defeat the previously undefeated Austin Packers 6-5 with just 3 hits for the home team. The Falcons maximized those hits and took advantage of 8 walks to earn the victory.

Chaska captured their second state crown with a victory over Apple Valley in a historic game featuring the #5 (Chaska) and #7 (Apple Valley) seeds. The first tine since seeding began those seeds made it to the championship.

The Goodhue Wildcats were the top seed in the tournament while the Minnehaha Academy Redhawks were the #3 seed. Minnehaha pulled away in the second half to witn their 6th state title. The Redhawks were #1 QRF (Quality Results Formula) team in the class and the Wildcats were #3.

Top seed Totino-Grace won over DeLaSalle of Minneapolis in a game with a wild finish at The Barn.

Northfield and Richfield hoop it up at Concordia University in St. Paul in the third place game. The Spartans pulled away late in a game broadcast on POWER 96 radio. The first trip to state for Northfield since 1932.

The Cougars were the top seed in the tournament. The Huskies the #5 seed did win at Lakeville North on Wednesday but could not repeat the feat at South Saturday night, March 7, 2026.

This was an overtime thriller! The second half defense was terrific by both teams with game tied at 48 at the end of regulation. The Warriors prevailed.

The game was tied at 39 at the half. The Wildcats locked down defensively with Cobras phenomenal athlete Pierce Petersohn scorng 39 points and all but a few of the team's second half baskets.

This was a very exciting basketball game with a little bit of everything in terms of drama. THe Panthers prevailed after the Vikings led most of the night in a foul infested game in Rochester.

The Huskies advanced in the Section 1AAAA boys basketball tournament.

The Tigers hit 11 three point baskets with 7 different player achieving the feat while ending the Falcons season in Section 1AAA Quarterfinal action.

The Bombers got close multiple times but could not overtake perennial Section 1 power Caledonia.

This was a terrific high school girls basketball game . Lourdes split with the Wildcats during the regular season and nipped them in the Mayo Civic Auditorium.

Falcons were a regular MASH unit with their top two scorers out due to injuries. They still made it competitive in the low scoring affair.

Huskies hook up with a team that placed second at State Tournament last season!

The Owatonna Huskies winning streak stopped at 8 games when the Mayo Spartans dominated action in Rochester.

It took them awhile to get going but the Falcons snapped a 3 game losing streak with a citory over Rochester John Marshall thanks in large part to Ryan Kreager. The 6'10 senior led the way with 25 points, multiple blocks and shot alterations in the paint.

Owatonna won their 8th straight game thanks to some clutch free throw shooting at the end of the game.

United Christian Academy eked out their 15th win of the season against the Cardinals but BA made an incredible comeback and had an opportunity to win at the end of the game. Junior guard Owen Dotterweich scored his 1,000th point of his career in leading Bethlehem Academy with 18 points.

The Huskies dominated the Rockets.

The shorthanded Falcons took the long and winding road trip to Winona and fell to a Winhawks team that picked up it's 5th win.

The Rockets spoiled the Cardinals senior party thanks to 23 points scored off turnovers in the Gopher Conference conteest.

Owatonna avenges an earlier season loss against a shorthanded Farbault team.

The Falcons led most of the first half which ended in a 23-23 tie but the first five minutes of the second half the Huskies collected a number of three point baskets to pull away. The H&R Block Owatonna, Faribault, Lakeville statistic of the game was Owatonna scoring 23 points off 28 Faribault turnovers.

Waterville-Elysian Morristown scores 52 points in the paint to deeat the Bethlehem Academy Cardinals in Faribault. Bucs sophomore Cole Bartz had 33 points, nearly all on layups.

A high scoring Big Nine Conference affair two of the top defensive teams in the league ends in a 5-5 tie in Northfield.

A thriller at the Castle in Kenyon resulted in a 39-37 win by the Knights over the Cardinals. Bethlehem Academy led nearly the entire game. They had a 12 point lead at the half and led by 5 with 2 minutes to go but turnovers down the stretch proved costly for them.

The Huskies outshot the Raiders 33-10 in their 4-0 win at Hastings. Allie Johnson, junior, recorded the shutout in net as Owatonna did not allow a single shot on goal in the entire second period. Only 2 shots in the third period.

The Raiders kept pace with Rochester Century for the Big Nine Conference title after a match that lasted less than a half hour due to low numbers for the Falcons. We spoke with the two winning Faribault wrestlers during this broadcast.

This was a thrilling game featuring two evenly matched teams. The Huskies had more shots on goal but it's goals scored that wins the game. Century/JM scored the game winner on a power play very late in the game.
