How I Dress is not an Invitation for Sexual Violence
As part of its Gender Based Violence Spectrum project, Minority Africa’s curators sought out disruptive women that have been spearheading within their own communities, work that challenges the pervasive rape culture that has come to define our home. Check out this conversation between three of the most innovative, compassionate and difficult women Kampala has raised and should be celebrating. Rebecca Karagwa is an Ubuntu-abiding feminist rights defender and lawyer. Lisa-Charity Nabuchabo is an aspiring filmmaker, writer and student community organizer that is currently building two innovative social enterprises 1) Eco-options (sustainable and eco-friendly menstrual products) and 2) Club Tegera ( a bookclub that engages in revolutionary, radical theory and political education ). Faith Imani Mulungi is a household name in Kampala; a beloved content creator. She also runs an organization that helps women who have fallen victim to domestic violence and sexual harassment. *This podcast is supported by the Embassy of France in Uganda under the PISCCA program.
