    Episode 6: Behind the Mic - A UMFM Pledge-O-Rama Special

    In Episode 6 of the MiSC Society Podcast, we’re doing something a little different.We join UMFM 101.5 during their Pledge-O-Rama week, an annual fundraiser supporting campus and community radio, and get the chance to be interviewed by the station manager Jared!In this episode, we go behind the scenes and flip the roles as we share the story behind the MiSC Society Podcast. We talk about how it started, what inspired us, and what it’s been like building this platform as students.     In Episode 4 of the MiSC Society Podcast, we’re joined by the president of Active Minds at the University of Manitoba, a student-led organization dedicated to promoting mental health awareness on campus.We get into the pressures students face, the normalization of burnout, and how comparison culture can quietly affect the way we see ourselves. We also talk about recognizing when you’re struggling, knowing when to take a step back, and small, realistic ways to take care of your mental health. This is an honest conversation, one that we hope makes students feel seen, understood, and a little less alone.
