Mark's in-studio guests were Claire Vaughan & Abbi Mosson with the Fairfield Rotary Club highlighting this Saturday's 2nd Annual Wine & Arts Festival to be held at the Wayne County Fairgrounds from 11am to 6pm.

Mark's in-studio guests included; Angel Maguire, Marty Smith & Amy Hart from the Wayne County Homelessness Committee discussing their goal and vision for those being homeless and suffering from insecurity in Wayne County. The numbers will astonish you. Their committee's wish, which is a 501C3 ministry, is to establish a homeless shelter in the City of Fairfield. Mark's in-studio guest were Cindy Vandergraph, Director and Shari Winter, Board Member of the Kids In Motion Summer Day Camp discussing the program for the upcoming year which starts May26th through July 31st.

Mark's in-studio guest were Aiden & Ashton King, Juniors at Fairfield Community High School and Caleb Young, Junior at Wayne City High School talking about the Wayne County CEO Program and Nothing But NET Worth and their event coming up on Tuesday, February 3rd during the Fairfield Mules and Wayne City Indians Basketball game at FCHS and the opportunity for for one lucky winner to win $10,000 by shooting a successful half-court shot.

Mark's in-studio guest was Angela Evans, Republican Candidate for Illinois State Representative in the 116th District from the Sesser area talking about her ideas, beliefs and vision for the State of Illinois if elected during the March 17 primary. She is running for the seat against incumbent, Dave Severin.

Mark's in-studio guest was Shain Crank, Republican Candidate for Regional Office of Education District #20. Shain shared his vision and ideas for the office if elected during the March 17th primary. Crank, from Harrisburg is the current Superintendent/Principal at the Galatia Grade School District.

Michelle Scott of Fairfield, Outreach Coordinator and Mariah Hayes from Benton, the Executive Director for CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) For Kids were Mark's in studio guest as they both shared what the program is all about and the program is new to Wayne County. Volunteers are needed to be an advocate for children who have experienced abuse and neglect and speak on their behalf in juvenile court.

Dr. Beth Rister, Regional Superintendent of Schools and Sarah Emery, Assistant Superintendent from the Regional Office of Education #20 were Mark's in-studio guest as they discussed education in general and the challenges facing today's schools and teachers. Sarah is also running for the Regional Superintendent position in the upcoming March primary as Dr. Rister will be retiring in June, 2027.

Sarah Rush, from Frontier Community College was Mark's in-studio guest to discuss the Meet The Candidates Forum set for Thursday, February 19th from 6pm to 8pm at the Workforce Development Center on the campus of Frontier Community College. A Q & A session will take place between the three candidates for Wayne County Coroner with Sarah sharing how those attending in person or those unable to attend can ask questions of each candidate. Questions can be submitted via email at [email protected]. After the program, there will be a meet-and-greet session for all candidates in other races of local interest.

Wes Henley was Mark's in-studio guest talking about this weekends Set Free Recovery Fest that will be held at the Wayne County Fairgrounds and floral hall on Saturday. The all-day event starts around 10:45 with prayer and the music begins at 11am til 9pm. A car & bike show will also be held on the fairgrounds and food trucks will be on the grounds as well.

On a Tuesday SPECIAL EDITION of Morning Mingle, Fairfield Community High School Superintendent, Bobby Wells joined Mark in-studio to talk about the new Monthly Speaker Series at FCHS. The series will feature scheduled events on a variety of subjects, ranging from school renovations and college planning to mental health and career exploration and much more. The series kicks off Thursday, October 9th.
