    the violence of friendlessness

DONATE HERE: https://donate.unrwa.org/-landing-page/en_EN https://www.justgiving.com/page/savegaza https://goodbricks.org/cause/palestinianyouthmovement.com/donate-pym The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1939) is a harrowing tale made to warn the omen of what xenophobia, racism, classism and fascism can do to humanity. Based on the mistreatment of Jewish Europeans, this film allegorically represents the plight of so many marginalized peoples. Connecting it to the ongoing genocide of Palestinians right now, this cautionary tale reveals the darkness and chaos that cruelty and hate brings upon us all.Additional Readings: https://peoplesforum.org/blog_post/we-will-not-apologize-zionism-is-racism/ https://jacobin.com/2021/11/germany-holocaust-reparations-military-hardware-israel-palestine https://michaelleewrites.substack.com/p/israels-narrative-war?r=11vpml&utm_medium=ios&triedRedirect=true

but it's about me tho, i'm the problem

While mentioned in passing, this episode takes us back to the founding episode and ethos of Move The Bowl Please. Over 100 days of the most visible genocide of history to date has stark similarities to the genocides of the past. The Israeli, and complicity nearly all countries within the G7, have persisted in their unwavering support of the massacre and ethnic cleansing of Palestine and it's people. This type of impunity now only signals severe warnings for the rest of humanity, but also how we this type of racist impunity is not new, and how our inaction helps to propagate these cycles of hell on earth. Please consider donating what you can to organizations doing work on the ground in Gaza, or sharing information to your networks.https://linktr.ee/thegazasunbirdshttps://www.paypal.com/paypalme/gzdirectaidhttps://goodbricks.org/campaign/palestinianyouthmovement.com/donate-2022Catch Move The Bowl Please on all platform listening platforms.

    we aren't really free

In this episode, we take a bit of a winding path through many different concepts and realities that Black folk face within the west. Through the phenomenon of the shifting face of the manosphere, this episode grapples with the complexity of the current state of unrest that young people go through, and how useless the subjects pop-culture push forward to us can be against the backdrop of racism, sexism, xenophobia; are we really in a society that encourages critical thought? Are we free to image our futures? Can men be sassy in peace?

you're a victim, and thats okay

This episode we explore the aesthetics of the genre of body horror, as it pertains to race, history, religion via the 2004 feature length ' The Passion of the Christ', courtesy of Acolytes of Horror. The genocide of Palestinians in Gaza, slave labour in eastern Congo, and the 9 month long war on civilians in Sudan are all western backed manifestations of blood lust that use the bodies of Black and Brown people as a battlefield for capital and economic growth. It's inescapable when you finally notice it; but we shall prevail.

your favourite rapper is queer (probably)

In this episode, I take a trip down memory lane back to my first couple years of university, revisiting some nostalgic records by Isaiah Rashad, which lead me down to learn more about the environment that made it possible for him to create the music that many of us still sing along to, write and wax poetic about.

    why loneliness makes sense

Loneliness has been on a steady incline, and took on new heights in the wake of the global pandemic of 2020; and yet that's not the full picture. Starting small and scaling back, i dive into my own perspective as a young person, my own story with loneliness, and why it's not all because you can't get off that damn phone (it's part of the problem).Catch Move The Bowl Please on all platform listening platforms!

    get shattered this 2024

In this first episode, i (sandra) very briefly introduce myself to you, the listener, to close off this year with something to take with you next year. Amidst a time of continual global disasters, mass psychic shifts and revelations, i found myself completely undone by what the world has come to. i hope something within this first ramble connects with you, someway, somehow.Catch Move The Bowl Please on all platform listening platforms!
