    Episode 6 - Donna Ockenden

    Welcome to episode 6 in our series of podcasts. This time, we're delighted to talk to Donna Ockenden, whose maternity review is due to be published in the next couple of months. You'll have seen and heard from Donna on the TV and radio news bulletins over the last few years - it's quite rare to hear a long form interview with her. She'll give an update on progress so far, react to the impact Forever Stars has had in Nottinghamshire and she'll outline what the next steps will look like.     Episode 5 - Nelsons

    Welcome to our latest episode, where we explore the legal process involved when you make a claim against a hospital trust in the event of a death or injury during birth. You'll hear from Carolle White and Shrdha Kapoor from Nelsons in Nottingham about what the process looks like, the support available and the outcomes that are possible. We also talk about the relationship between Nelsons and Forever Stars and why Carolle and Shrdha have decided to take on a brave fundraising challenge themselves!     Episode 4 - Leanne Louch

    Welcome to Episode 4, our first podcast of 2026. This year is already looking to be an exciting and busy one for Forever Stars-there's an update on some of our forthcoming events at the end of this episode. Firstly, have a listen to Leanne's story-she has first hand experience of baby loss, which she describes here. She'll also tell you how she's gone on to be an Embrace Ambassador for the charity. This year marks 10 years since Leanne and Paul lost their boys Thomas and Jack-there's a special event planned to mark this-more details at the end of the episode.     Episode 3 - Play therapy

    Welcome to our third episode. As well as supporting baby loss families through the serenity suites and the serenity garden, did you know Forever Stars provides play therapy sessions? These are free and they're aimed at siblings of babies who've died; it's sometimes brothers and sisters who can be overlooked in the grieving process and this form of therapy has been proven to be highly effective for families affected by loss. In this episode, Lizzie Miller describes what she does and her own experience of baby loss.     Forever Stars - moving forward, not moving on. Episode 1.

    Welcome to the first episode of our brand new podcast. At the time of recording, its Baby Loss Awareness Week, so we thought it fitting to take you back to the beginning of Forever Stars. We're a small, East Midlands-based charity, entirely run by volunteers; the charity was created by Richard and Michelle Daniels, after their daughter Emily was stillborn in 2004. This episode follows their story, from tragic beginning to a charity which has made a huge difference to so many people and has allowed the subject of baby loss to be brought in from the shadows.
