Champions Failed Too
*** I do not own the rights to the music in this episode.*** We all love to hear that song by the group known as, Queen. You know the tune and the lyrics I'm sure. It's especially exciting when your team is the winner, right? There is always talk about what the team or person will do next season to make it back to the winner's circle. Let me ask you a question. How often do you find teams or individual who repeat or even 3-peat? The instances are often very rare. This lets us know champions failed too. Champions were not always on the mountain top. There were some losses, some difficulties and come challenges they had to face. Because of this, we know we won't always be a champion, but we can stay in the hunt moving towards a winning season with each step we take. Don't Forget to Pray
I don't know about you, but life is sometimes life-ing. We can find yourself becoming frustrated by things beyond your control. In this episode, we discuss the frustrations and identify how to take things back to the basics. Those basics of sitting to be still and making sure we are remembering to pray about everything, so we don't have to worry about a thing. We have to put things in the most capable hands of God. He can handle it better than we can. It is my hope this prayer helped you, as much as it helped me. Have an amazing day! Remember to like, share, and follow the podcast. Finding A Place For Anxiety
If you've ever experienced a panic attack, you know what it is like to feel your thought race at 100 miles a second, have shortness of breath, and a rapid heart rate. As the movie Inside Out 2 indicated, "anxiety wants to help so worry has to be put somewhere that's healthy". Anxiety wants to make sense of it all, which is why you try to think of so many solution, but seem to fall short of an actual answer to ease your mind. If you find yourself unable to regulate your anxiety, remember to seek the support of a therapist. It is not a bad thing to search on Psychology Today for a therapist. Cultivating Joy
In a world that often feels chaotic and challenging, finding and holding onto joy can seem like an impossible task. But joy isn’t just a fleeting emotion; it’s a deep-seated sense of well-being and contentment that we can cultivate and allow to overflow in our lives. Today, we’ll explore how to nurture joy so that it can sustain us, even on the most difficult days. Let's begin by understanding what joy truly is. Unlike happiness, which is often dependent on external circumstances, joy is an internal state of being. It comes from within and can be present even in the midst of hardship. Joy is about finding light in the darkness and holding onto hope when things seem bleak. Remember to like, share, and follow the podcast. Also follow me on Facebook (Dr. Keshia D. From Breakdowns to Breakthroughs
Life has a way of throwing us curveballs. Sometimes, these challenges feel so overwhelming that we find ourselves at the breaking point. It could be due to personal loss, professional setbacks, health issues, or emotional struggles. Whatever the cause, experiencing a breakdown can be incredibly painful and disorienting. But what if I told you that a breakdown could be the very thing that creates to a powerful breakthrough? Today, we'll discuss how the darkest moments of our lives can lead to profound personal growth and transformation. A breakdown is often characterized by a period of intense emotional distress or a sense of being completely overwhelmed. It's when the weight of life's pressures feels unbearable, and we reach a point where something has to give. A breakdown forces us to stop, reflect, and reassess our lives. Purpose in the Fire
Have you ever felt like you're walking through fire? Maybe it's the fire of anger, depression, anxiety, or any other challenge that seems insurmountable. Today, we're going to draw strength and wisdom from an ancient story—the story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the fiery furnace. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego faced a literal fire for standing firm in their faith. They refused to bow to an idol and were thrown into a blazing furnace as punishment. But instead of being consumed by the flames, they were fortified by them. In the midst of their trial, they found purpose and emerged stronger. This story isn't just a tale of ancient faith; it's a metaphor for our own lives. We all face our own fiery furnaces—whether it's the fire of emotional turmoil, mental health struggles, or personal challenges. These fires can feel overwhelming, consuming, and endless. But here's the truth we can hold onto: just like these three, we are not alone in our fires. Remember to like, share, and follow the podcast. Also follow me on Facebook (Dr. Keshia D. Remember Who You Are
Well, well, well!!!! It's my birthday tomorrow!!! Every day above ground is a great day. Who remembers the movie, "The Lion King"? Don't Forget To Thank You!!
Just like Calvin Cordozar Broadus, Jr. aka Snoop Dogg stopped to thank himself while giving a speech as his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame was being unveiled.
