#1 Agroecology: sweet potatoes surviving hurricanes

« We as Puerto Ricans anticipate hurricane season so we prepare our plants for the season having that in mind. We don’t rely on only one product. We rely on diversity. » Jésus, Dilora and Javier are 3 farmers from Boriguan, also known as Puerto Rico. They came to COP27 through Organizacion Boricua, as part of an international organisation Via Capesina. We talked about the installation of Javier with Dilora in his grandfather's abandoned farm, and about the relevance of agroecology as a life style, as a solution for food resilience, to preserve the environment.
