mr.coon, in real Gerhard Martini was born in Bolzano/Bozen, South Tyrol in 1972. While growing up in Terlano, he attended the Academy of Painting Art in Florence but found his true passion in music. After releasing his first music projects through TV and radio spots, Gerhard suffered a traumatic brain injury in an accident just two weeks after his first live performance in 1998. Despite being heavily medicated, he fought his way back to life and decided to pursue a career in music using his technical capabilities. In 2004, he produced his first album "Die Träumer" in cooperation with Martin Troger. In 2010, he was awarded a scholarship at the Music and Media Academy of Hamburg and completed his studies to become a Musicdesigner. Today, Gerhard aims to live solely through his music and creative projects in collaboration with other artists, various offices, or fine arts. mr.coon presented himself at the Live Audition 2022 with a DJ set of his own production.
