In the latest episode of the My Feel Good F'n Courses Podcast, we dive into the emotion of financial discouragement and offer insightful strategies to help you regain control and confidence in your financial journey. Whether it's unexpected expenses, slow progress in debt repayment, or feeling overwhelmed by financial complexities, these challenges can leave us feeling defeated. The gap between our financial expectations and reality often amplifies these feelings, especially when we're constantly exposed to others' financial successes on social media. But financial discouragement doesn't just affect our wallets. It can have a profound impact on our mental and emotional well-being, sapping our motivation and leading us to avoid our finances altogether. My Feel Good F'n Courses Podcast Finance Jealousy
Check out https://www.myfeelgoodfncourses.com/ to sign up and change your mindset around your finances. In a world where social media often showcases the highlight reels of others' lives, it's easy to fall into the trap of financial jealousy. Have you ever scrolled through Instagram, only to feel a pang of envy at someone else's vacation photos, new car, or business success? You're not alone. Financial jealousy is a common emotion, but it doesn't have to control your life. In the latest episode of the Feel Good F'n Courses podcast, we explore this complex emotion and offer practical advice on how to transform it into something positive.Financial jealousy often stems from comparison and societal pressures. When we see others achieving financial success, it can trigger feelings of inadequacy, fear, and even resentment. These emotions can impact our self-esteem, mental health, and relationships, leading us to make poor financial decisions or isolate ourselves from those we perceive as more successful. But jealousy is not about the other person; it's about our own beliefs, fears, and desires. This means we have the power to change our mindset and turn envy into empowerment. So, how can we transform financial jealousy into a positive force? Let's start by acknowledging your feelings. Jealousy is a natural emotion and recognising it is the first step towards change. Use it as a signal to understand your own desires and goals. If you're envious of someone's financial stability, it might be a sign that you need to focus on building your own financial security.Next, shift your mindset from scarcity to abundance. Scarcity thinking tells us that there's not enough success to go around, but in reality, there's plenty for everyone. Celebrate others' achievements and let them inspire you to pursue your own. Setting clear financial goals is another powerful tool. Instead of comparing yourself to others, focus on your journey and the steps you can take to achieve your financial aspirations. Finally, practice gratitude. It's easy to focus on what we don't have, but taking a moment to appreciate what we do have can shift our focus from lack to abundance. Whether it's the roof over your head or the support of loved ones, recognising the wealth already present in your life can help combat feelings of jealousy.Financial jealousy doesn't have to hold you back. By understanding its roots, shifting your mindset, and focusing on your own goals, you can turn envy into a source of motivation and growth. Remember, your financial journey is unique to you, and there's enough success to go around for everyone. My Feel Good F'n Courses Podcast Finance Unworthiness
Check out https://www.myfeelgoodfncourses.com/ to sign up and change your mindset around your finances. In this episode of My Feel Good F’n Courses Podcast, we’ll tackle a topic that many of us grapple with but seldom discuss: financial unworthiness. This episode is a deep dive into understanding the roots of financial unworthiness, how it manifests in our lives, and actionable steps to overcome it.Financial unworthiness is that nagging feeling that you don't deserve financial success, that you're not good enough to have money, or that if you do have it, you're somehow taking it away from someone more deserving. We’ll explain how this sense of unworthiness can be a silent barrier that holds us back from achieving our financial goals. So, where does this feeling come from? The roots of financial unworthiness often stem from childhood experiences, societal messages, or even cultural beliefs. If you grew up in a household where money was tight, you might have internalised the belief that money is hard to come by or that you're not meant to have it. On the other hand, if you grew up in a wealthy family but felt like you didn't earn that wealth, you might feel guilty or undeserving of it.Messages from social media also play a significant role in shaping our beliefs about money. We are constantly bombarded with images of what success looks like, and it's often tied to material wealth. When we don't fit that image, it's easy to feel like we don't measure up.We’ll offer several actionable steps to overcome these feelings of unworthiness. It starts with awareness. Recognise the thoughts and beliefs you have about money and ask yourself where they come from. Are they truly your beliefs, or are they inherited from your upbringing, society, or culture?Next, challenge those beliefs. Just because you've always thought a certain way doesn't mean it's true. For example, if you believe that you're not worthy of financial success, ask yourself why. What evidence do you have to support that belief? And more importantly, what evidence do you have that contradicts it?Reframing your thoughts is another powerful tool. Instead of thinking "I'm not worthy of wealth," try thinking "I'm capable of creating and managing wealth." Instead of "I don't deserve to be paid more," think "My skills and time are valuable, and I deserve fair compensation."Taking action is crucial. Set financial goals that reflect your true desires, not what you think you deserve. Surround yourself with people who support your financial growth and seek out resources that help you build your financial knowledge and confidence. Seek financial help from a professional if needed.Remember, your worth is not determined by your bank balance. Financial success is not about deserving or not deserving. It's about believing in your ability to create the financial life you want and taking the steps to make it happen. For more insights and to download a free version of the Emotional Guidance Scale Reference Chart, visit myfeelgoodfncourses.com. My Feel Good F'n Courses Podcast Finance Fear
Are you struggling with fear around your finances? You're not alone. Financial anxiety is a common issue that many people face, but it doesn't have to control your life. In the latest episode of My Feel Good F'n Courses Podcast, we dive deep into the origins of financial fear and offers practical strategies to overcome it.Financial fear can manifest in various ways, from anxiety about not having enough money to fear of losing what we have. In this episode we'll explain that these fears often stem from our upbringing and early experiences with money. Perhaps you witnessed your parents struggle to make ends meet, or maybe you were taught that money is scarce and hard to come by. These early beliefs can shape our mindset and perpetuate a cycle of fear and scarcity throughout our lives. But it's not just our past experiences that influence our financial fears. Societal pressures and cultural norms also play a significant role. In a world that often equates wealth with success and happiness, it's easy to feel inadequate or fearful if we don't measure up to these standards. This fear can drive us to make irrational decisions, like overspending to keep up appearances or hoarding money out of fear of losing it.We'll share some common examples of financial fear, including fear of being or going into debt, fear of losing your job, fear of not having enough for retirement, and fear of making poor financial decisions. We'll also discuss the fear of having too much money and the fear of other people judging our spending habits. So, how can we overcome these fears and develop a healthier relationship with our finances? We'll go through several strategies, starting with acknowledging and understanding our fears. By reflecting on our past experiences with money and how they've shaped our beliefs and attitudes, we can begin to dismantle their power over us. Recognising the importance of challenging negative beliefs and assumptions about money, reframing it as a tool for empowerment and abundance rather than a source of stress and anxiety.Practicing gratitude is another powerful strategy. By focusing on the blessings in our lives, such as a roof over our heads, food on the table, and the love and support of friends and family, we can shift our perspective from scarcity to abundance. Overcoming the fear of money is a journey that requires patience, self-reflection, and a willingness to confront our deepest fears and insecurities. But by taking small steps each day, we can break free from the grip of fear and create a future of financial freedom and abundance 'Everything you want is on the other side of fear.'Don't let financial fear hold you back.
