Natural History of Selborne

In 1898, as the Uganda Railways river-crossing bridge was being built at the Tsavo River, a chilling tragedy unfolded. Under the cover of darkness, 135 railway workers were brutally attacked, dragged into the wilderness, and consumed by two fearsome male lions. The Man-Eaters of Tsavo is the gripping autobiographical account of Royal Engineer Lt. Col. J.H. Patterson as he recounts his harrowing African adventures, including the perilous hunt for these notorious man-eaters.
